But they're nature and characteristics are VERY similar. Rain just succeeds where Frost fails. Both are arrogant. Both think they're designed for greater destinies. Both have a beef with their respective clans. Both are traitors who seek power. Both live in the shadows of their respective masters. Both are outcasts. There are a LOT of similarities; but Frost is still more arrogant and naive. Rain could easily manipulate her.

No, he's right. We know Ronda is not an actress and her availability would be a problem, and that's exactly why she shouldn't have been cast. Most of her delivery of lines are bad and all the others are actual actors who perform far better and are available for more recordings, because you know, it's their job.

I think Rain appeared in the animated series Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, Rain was once engaged to Princess Kitana, causing tension between him and Liu Kang before he was revealed as a traitor. He also had a former relationship with her in the TV series Mortal Kombat: Conquest as well.
Actually, apparently Tanya was genuine and cared about Mileena. At least from what Mileena says about her, even being by her side in her ending without Rain.
Anyone know when the custom combat takes effect? Specifically on pc? I keep seeing sporadic uploads of dialogue and I can not figure out when this stuff is coming out. And I refuse to join Twitter, or wherever everyone but me seems to be able to find this stuff out from.
I'm curious how Edenia would be under Rain's rule. I mean yes, he lived a life from the bottom and his ending of knowing the truth of his past you can tell he would do anything to benefit himself because he probably didn't have anything really for himself growing up. So can you blame the guy for being greedy? I mean who knows?

Is it me or is Rain and Kitana's interactions less aggressive than you'd think they would be? Wasn't Rain in one of the canon's (I think the movie) a childhood friend? Maybe they brought that into the intro interactions as a subtle nod.
I think it was merged with Outworld. Outworld is a culmination of different realms I guess. That's why Earthrealm fights often against Outworld. I presume that when Shao Kahn conquered Edenia, he merged it with Outworld or the Elder Gods did through Mortal Kombat. Don't know, but from what it sounds like Edenia cannot be removed without fracturing the entirety of Outworld.
