Yoasobi have been invited by British rock band Bring Me the Horizon to perform alongside them and bands like I Prevail, Hanabie. and Paledusk on their own organized Nex_Fest in Tokyo on November 3, 2023. Four days later, Yoasobi will open for Coldplay on both of their Japan shows at Tokyo Dome as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour.
Yoasobi are pretty big in Japan. Their first Arena Tour was completely sold-out. This concert were the video was shot was sold-out with an attendance of 19.000 people.
The duo also have released an English version of this song. I would like to recommend to watch the first EP of Oshi no Ko and then watch the English-languaged music video to get the gist of the lyrics.
"Idol" is the opening theme of Oshi no Ko anime series.
The guy interacting with the crowd, playing the keyboard and the electric drum is Ayase, the man who has composed and written the song btw.
