ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

i love how this series didn't give us that long boring stressful love triangles between any of the pair of this series..they cleared the pat-ink-pran misunderstanding so shortly and well, they didn't give wai that much chance to hit on pa so that ink miss the chance to get her love, they made wai smart enough to know that ink likes pa and never going to give her to anyone..also pat and pa is so straight forward enough to talk out about their problems with pran and ink..no unnecessary drama, no dragging of the plot..that's what make their love story unique and beautiful.. i just love everything about this series..it's like a breathe in the fresh air
I agree! I honestly think this was one of the best series ever made by GMMTV
as someone who absolutely loathes love triangles, this show is SO satisfying. they cleared the romantic conflicts so efficiently and it never felt like those plots dragged on.

In My School President, their parents are neutral so they can date and their stories started there. While Bad Buddy has to hold until college to start the story. That's why the commenter said we thought Bad Buddy was supposed to be My School president if It weren't for the parents plot. It feels like De ja vu because both stories are made around music and how they express their feelings through it. Bad Buddy came out first then My School President.

I'm so so so SO HAPPY that everyone in the comments is asking for Ink and Pa (or at least Love and Milk) to get their own show. As a lesbian who spends all my time watching BL and wishing people would make this many cute feel good shows about us, I would DIE if GL started getting popular. And good GL too. Characters with real chemistry. Like Ink and Pa.

As a straight girl, I always found it weird that GL wasn't popular as BL. I also heard many stuffs about it from my fujoshi friends like "GL would be so weird for straight girls", "GL isn't fun. It's uncomfortable" etc. Honestly, my death would be the official cause of watching GL and BL lol. I've been watching GL for a month thanks to Pearl Next Door. I never imagined it would feel same way as I did with BLs. Pearl Next Door wasn't satisfying so I watched other GLs. I would recommend my favorite GLs; "Am I only one with butterflies? S1-2" and “More Than or Equal to 75 Celsius." They both are Korean and short but I always felt lots of love, butterflies in my stomach and giggled a lot. I really hope we'll have more of those with good ending and longer episodes.
Wake up Ladies: very complicated and Friendzone season 2 also have GL parts although they aren't main. I would also recommend them.
Honestly I'm really interested to see more GL because of Pa and Ink now XD They're so cute!! If anyone could sugest more GL (especially the one's with happy ending), I would be really gratefull

tbh, I just found out the term GL around last month. I just realized that it might have been a popular term and have been circulating around comics, fanfics, or other medias. Still, the fact that it is featured in a BL series is scarce already, so this is bomb! The representation that this series creator brought, the way they executed, really made me believe that the all accepting world is not as far anymore as what I have in mind a decade ago. We are really entering a new era.

In interviews with the actors (Salmon Podcast) and well as other interviews with the director etc,, they talk about Pran’s OCD. Even in Bad Buddy pilot trailer, Pran’s OCD is clearly shown. Everyone is different and therefore, everyone’s OCD is different. I have my own OCD with my personal things like how a towels are folded and arranged but I don’t care for my bed to be fixed as soon as I wake up. Thanks for the awareness. If you have time, watch the podcast of OhmNanon as they talk about their personal OCD vs. their characters. It was just a raw and honest interview.

I just realized that GMMTV might have laid the groundwork for their upcoming BL “My School President” with this episode of Bad Buddy; as the high school music club students they talk to in episode 10 include the two leading actors in My School President. In a way then, the upcoming My School President series can be considered a spin off from Bad Buddy.
OMG! I just knew that the junior playing the e-guitar and the one who noticed Pat are also the main characters of My School President which is airing now.
I must say the chemistry between Ohm and Nanon being portray as Pat and Pran. Really makes them look like a real couple and I really love the storytelling. This series definitely top tier.

I can't believe how romantic Ink and Pa's confession in the dark room turned out! I completely felt like I was Pa in that moment, first a bit sad that maybe Ink was just friendly, then my heart beating like crazy when Ink told me, I mean Pa, that she had been in love with her since high school... 😳 She's the onee-sama I always wanted to meet!
InkPaa's canon development was very well though out. Ink liked Paa first since high school and despite the uncertainty she still decided to be close to Paa, fighting her whole faculty to be Paa's peer mentor and hitting on her along the way. I now know why Milk and Love switched roles (originally Milk was supposed to be Pa/Pat’s sister and Love was Pat’s girl love interest in the original trailer). I’m guessing at first they weren’t going to include the GL plot, but then they added it and Milk suits Ink and Love suits Pa more with the GL plot and it ended up being perfect!
Nor it makes sense, because physically Milk looks more like Pat than Love, so she looks more like his sister, but I am glad for the switch. It was perfect.

Yes, this! It's such a small thing but it says so much about their relationship - I love how this show was written. Every interaction, every dialogue, every gesture is steeped in so much meaning that no detail is ever too small.

I noticed that Pa and Pat are being well portrayed as brothers, he saw that he liked men too and in one episode he came out, Pa saw that she was liking Ink and in one episode she came out too. Maturity and courage is a family heritage I think.

The darkroom and confession scene are so sweet as fuck. Pa just tell Ink everything about her doesn’t want to fall if Ink only taking care of her as just a peer mentor-menteer, then Ink who’s already fall for her first since high school, saying she fight one faculty to became Pa’s mentor is just something pretty that I can’t describe anymore. I loved it. So much. Thank you, P’Aof for making InkPa as a couple.

The whole Ink and Pa storyline was such a nice surprise to me, they have great chemistry and I squeal everytime they're on screen together, one of my favorite secondary couples ever

At 12:08, Ink asked Pa if she’s “free this evening”, and Pa said that she’s free. Ink also reminded her not to be late to meet her. But when Pa found out that Ink is her peer mentor, she feels heartbroken. Hence, she came late to the darkroom (as Ink mentioned to her at 13:53), even though previously she said she’s free - suggesting that she’s really sad.
At 16:46, it shows that Ink had placed a photo she took of Pa during high school underneath another photo. This suggests that Ink was initially going to reveal her feelings for Pa, but instead Pa was the one who first confessed her feelings to Ink. This shows that both Pa and Ink had planned to confess their feelings in the darkroom, but Pa did it first. 🥺
