its insane how i listen to this man's music for years and constantly try to get more of his music and almost all songs here are foreign to me. the output of this guy is insane.

Maybe not forever... But I've certainly got a long way to go yet. I've heard well over 100 deadmau5 tracks at this point, having discovered him when I heard "I Remember" on the radio when I was 13 years old, but with over 1000 tracks out there, there's still many hidden gems I haven't heard, and likely some I'll never get to hear. Such is the mystique of an artist who creates music for himself! Not to mention that feeling of rediscovering a track that I've not heard in a long time; that's at least as good as hearing something I've not heard before because it's like reuniting with a long lost friend, except it gently crawls inside my brain and builds a warm, fuzzy, comfortable nest in there and embraces my very soul.
I was listening to this while playing Minecraft and wondered why the third track fit the game so well. I was mesmerised and thought "wow, I mean deadmau5 is already known for being close to Minecraft and having helped C418 produced Living Mice, but this is crazy". Then I realised it was called Minecraft 02, completely coincidentally. Loving it.
All of the 7 sins are legitimately wonderful. Deadmau5 has made a lot of the more poppier side of electronic music, but he's probably the one I still have the most respect for in that ballgame. When he follows his own desires for making music, it usually turns out dang great. (while 1
Been listening to this guys music since 2008, and its been an insane ride, I do wish he'd return to this very simple kind of music where it doesn't have to live up to any EDM standard, where he can just kinda chill and enjoy making music, not hide it behind BSOD or Testpilot. This ambient style really transports me to another world, and it makes me wonder what he could do with a video game soundtrack if given the opportunity.
testpilot is Joel’s fun project getting away from all the edm standards. He doesn’t have to play ghost n stuff or any of the “contracted” stuff. He’s playing those sets for the pure enjoyment. It’s nice to see him enjoying this thing because for a while there he wasn’t having a great time🙃
since C418 isn't making the minecraft soundtrack anymore and a bunch of Joel's tracks are named with allusions to it, it would be fun to see him take a crack at a minecraft OST. or maybe a game that's similarly relaxing but with more of an outer space theme since his music is kind of otherworldly
@@xXx_Regulus_xXx I swear. I played some of his ambient songs including this while building in Minecraft, and he does in fact have a particularly close history with Minecraft and Mojang. In fact, Living Mice by C418 is an allusion to deadmau5, since he helped produce the song.
Had the pleasure to see two shows, one on my 40th birthday. It is magnificent, to be part of this culture. I'm 52 and only know the plethora of genres as techno but I'll be a fan till I no longer can. Thought about writing a living will instructing whomever might take care of me, to play this music even when I'm too old to ask
Should have been in the official Minecraft game. I just could not imagine the amount of nostalgia Deadmau5's music would give me. 3:20 would have been my favorite Minecraft music besides Flake.

I hope that Deadmouse never retires from making this type of music. Second, He needs a sidekick. He should have a Neanderthal man DJ. July 29, 2021, Thursday
Radiohead - Codex(deadmau5 remake)

Deadmau5 exists, and I get to listen to it. Knowing this, I cannot complain about life
Cherish every time you find new music you vibe with, that feeling isn't forever.

Deadmau5 is one of the greatest composers ever, hes not a dj, not a music producer, a composer.
Would you consider doing more of these? This is perfectly curated.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Crazy to find people that also have thoughts of this vibe as well, good night for now!
that transition from one to bored of canada healed my soul

Love the very obscure tracks and that you found names for them all. Great mix too!
best music for a good trip of Keta or Acid
starting out with Boards of Canada ?! Oh I'm SO in for this! 😍 Thank you algorithms, Buttonmasher, and Joel ❤❤❤
Oh wow. Something more than another compilation of Mau5
Great work on this!
It sounds so much like a movie soundtrack which is ironic considering DeadMau5 made a soundtrack for the film Polar ☺️
Creep v2 is beautiful
Mindcraft02(Soundcloud) Everything you are is literally like my favorite song.
It's so beautiful

Would Waking Up From the American Dream count as ambient? It sounds pretty chill to me.
Man I forgot about that track. Gonna go listen to it again.

Only thing I would've added is "Deadmau5 - Jaded (Uppermost Rework)"
Thanks for putting me on to that. Really nice remix. Shame it's probably unlicensed, but I don't think Joel or his people will go after it.
@@BeefKirky Glad you liked it! Uppermost has good cred in the music scene so I dont think Joel would have any problem with that.
