A test room in Wind Waker’s files has transparent water that shows that Link has a swimming animation that’s usually unseen by the player because WW’s water is usually opaque!

I got my ds all zelda-ed out with a special casing and a new stylus just for that game and i played it to hell and back. It was amazing to be able to play a 3d zelda on a handheld. this confirms that the original legend of zelda link was the smartest of them all, since he knows better to not walk into the water, knowing that he can not swim (kinda helps that he manage to solve some of the weirdest puzzles with weirdes hints in zelda history as well). but since it's supposed to be the same link in AoL, something must have happen for him to lose all of his logical reasoning. so what if, AoL is actually set in the dark world, and you're actually playing as THE dark link (or in some timeline/ the past, ravio), while the dark link that you fought in the game, is actually the hero from the first game. wow. - _knowing the internet, i know that i need to say this first: dont take this seriously, im just having fun lmao_

Drowning is so inconsistent in the top-down games. You take no damage in Link to the Past but do in Link Between Worlds despite the latter being a spiritual sequel. You take no damage in Link's Awakening (DX) but you do in the remake. You take damage in the Oracle games when you didn't in Link's Awakening (DX) but then Capcom decided you shouldn't take drowning damage in Minish Cap.
