It might seem easy to notice at first but remember David Blaine has perfected his craft for so long so he sleight of hand must be insane
He doesn't use sleight of hands, he doesn't believe in them, his wrists were held 🤦🏽♂️
Looks like the reason why David asked them to hold his wrists while performing was to block their view as much as possible with their own wrists so that they couldn't see the gaps properly
The way he listed the suits, he had diamond last and said the other suits louder, kinda psychologically baiting them away from diamond.

Question : (choice) -> (result)
1st : Which do you choose
Diamonds -> I'll only leave the diamonds
Spades or Clubs -> Ok that's gone.
2nd : Which do you choose
Diamonds -> I'll only leave the diamonds
Spades or Clubs -> Ok that's gone, now it's only diamonds left.
If you look carefully at the very beginning of the clip where db is holding the entire deck up for the player to pick his "random" card, notice how the cards at the top of the deck to the right are grouped more tightly together to A - prevent anyone in the room from noticing that they're all of the same suit and B - lower the chances of the player picking any of that suit in the first place
Secondly when LeBron goes "which one do you want me to eliminate" David gives a deliberately inspecific answer so as not to trap himself should LeBron have picked diamonds!

My friends would want to shuffle the deck by themselves, before I even want to begin anything. How would I avoid that? And what's the plan B if they pick a card from top?
If they shuffle it, you have to go to another trick. As for the picking a card on top, you tell them to tell you when to stop riffing through, and the first step is to get the top cards out of the way so you can force them to take a bottom card. Do this by shoving the top 13 over quick then slowing down to go through the rest, and if they try and call at the top, keep shoving and stop late

I'm pretty sure David Blaine gets a lot of people like that. I'm just wondering how he would handle the ones are trying to be smart ass.
If your friends are being smart asses just don't tricks on them. Magic is for people who want to to be entertained not jerks who are always trying to ruin your trick. If they want to hold the deck try asking "why???" but ask it in a way that lets them know they are stupid for asking such a question

He was looking at the deck from above since he's so tall which makes the spaces between the cards less obvious.

You don’t see the gaps unless you’re looking at it from a direct side angle trust me. Lebrons looking at it from like 4 foot up top he not gonna see the gap
It happened to him on Jimmy Kimmel, where the audience member picked the suit he wanted to key. He tries to play it off as hard as he can that he intended to eliminate the first suit, and keep the second suit.

Holding the hand was done right before pressing down.
He explained if they choose the suit you chose for the trick you just say "we're gonna eliminate ALL other suits but that one" which to me would be alarming but I guess the average person wouldn't catch it or press the issue

The thing is, Lebron looked at the card being inserted back into the deck and David also showed the profile of the deck and there weren't any gaps. Not sure if this is what David did. Nice though.

Uber Steve I’m not convinced. MLT showed the profile of the cards and it was sparse. When David showed his card’s profile, it wasn’t sparse. Lebron even looked at the side. Rewatch it, man. David’s card deck was dense, no gaps, and he didn’t rely on a specific angle to fool the audience.

I started looking for the video after I watched the video. But how does he know what card they' choose unless they in on it
Nic trick....
Keep in mind Blaine is very careful how he phrases his questions. He always says "which do you wanna eliminate, etc". That means if someone says diamonds, he will reply back saying " you've eliminate diamonds as a choice, spades and clubs are gone from the deck." he also does things like puts diamonds last or asks his questions multiple times saying spades and clubs over and over again as choices. You'll notice in the video he keeps on saying spades and clubs are left, blah blah. Diamonds only mentioned as choices. wealthy/love diamonds. Human nature tends to want to keep diamonds in a deck and eliminate spades/clubs.
One guy had a pretty close look at the cards, watched them from the sides and the bottom. He would have seen if this where only 14 cards?
He didn’t ask lebron to eliminate, he just asked him which one do u want. If lebron picked diamonds, he would say ok diamonds stay

I always say name one black suit and one red suit...if they say the one I need I eliminate the one I don't need...I never really give them a choice even though they think they are choosing....works everytime
The trick that drives me crazy is the one where David produces a Queen that is holding the spectator's card...that is, the card has changed to have the spectator's card in the hands of the queen.

This still doesn't seem right to me because David Blaine had the whole deck in his hand and he made different suits disappear so how do you explain that he had all 52 in his hand they were both holding his hand so how did they just magically disappear

At the beginning he shows the whole deck and clearly all 4 suits are present and they appear shuffled. The lady chooses club and in the end only hearts and the chosen club card remains. My guess is that he has another set of 13 hearts that he switches to when he's asking the lady to sign (so he gets rid of the entire deck and picks up a new set of 13 cards all from the same suit). And curiously, here too he says "which suit you want to eliminate?" as the first question.
But he picks the card from the side of the deck that he can see clearly all of david's cards

My guess is when both Ad and lbj went to the room, David prob put the card at that time.
When AD and LBJ walk to that room, I'm sure everyone looking at them.
