    Excellent video but you should have also cleaned the fan while you had it apart.

    I think mine just has a cold solder joint or should I be safer to just replace the entire socket?

    • @Powerjackrepair
      @Powerjackrepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      nahh, if it is just a cold solder just add more solder to the leg/pad

    Hi? I have a Samsung NPRV511A02NG laptop that has an issue with the USB port. Where one can not be able to either retrieve data or input data. But when you connect a mobile phone(smart phone) one is able to charge. I have tried updating all the usb drivers i can think of but in vain. Please advice on what to do or how one can repair if it's faulty....

      +victor karanja on a usb port there is a + - signal + and signal -, I am sure your + and - work fine but signals don't work, the best course of action is to get a USB hub and connect it to another usb port

    hey . i have a samsung np-rv413 and i recently moved to russia with my parents . i cant find a spare dc jack for mine on the internet is it possible to use other laptop dc jack for mine?

    • @Powerjackrepair
      @Powerjackrepair  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      worst comes to worst you can just hardwire the + to + and - to -, any local tv / electronics repair place should be able to do it for you.

      i tried plugging it while it was on and something smelled like burnt plastic or something

    • @Powerjackrepair
      @Powerjackrepair  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the reason it smells like melted plastic is because one of the + pins (on the broken jack) is touching the - part. you need to straighten it out to use it.

      i looked at the mobo a while back and didnt see any issue only that one of the dc jack pin is kinda burned somewhat

    Hi, I have a Samsung NP550P5C notebook that is experiencing the following problem:
    A 6 months at the time, he began to get the message that the charger was disconnected, but the charger was on, I thought was bad connection, I took the charger out and put again and no sign. After a few times this happening, I realized he was returning to normal after leaving off for a few minutes and reconnecting.
    The battery is good, every week use it only on battery and did not present any problem.
    The charger is also good, did the test with the multimeter to is providing the necessary power (19v) and Amps, the cable is not broken.
    Today, the notebook stopped charging suddenly, after that the battery is empty the computer does not turn on anymore.
    When I connect the charger without the battery, the charging indicator light turns green very light, but the notebook does not turn on. when I connect with the battery into notebook the light turns red and then off again after about 3 seconds, no more lights.
    I think the problem isn't on conector, because the led turns on only when I connect it, after that, even moving the connector, the light does not light anymore.
    How can I test to see if the connector is defective or if it's on the board?

      your adapter used to overheat and stop charging, now it probably stopped working all together, try another power supply before you do anything else

      Hi, I'm back to thank you for your help!
      I changed the charger and it worked well.
      I couldn't undestand why the old one supply the energy (19v) but don't light the laptop
