I was fortunate to have just moved to San Diego in December of 2015 and caught the best waves of my life for the next year! The waves were still pretty good the following winter, but definitely went down to what was probably normal by spring of 2017.

rincon is easy to wire, the point has two main sections. The hard part is taking off deep and not having a souther snake you. Diego has more variety and is more consistent than SB.
Some fantastic stuff----Sandspit...that telltale Backwash!! can mess it up--OR pitch so far out, more than just an "Almond Eye"!! Epic!! Joe Roper's--Knew it was IT, the very first second--Known//Met Joe in 1972!! His Son JoJo is an incredibly talented Surfer. IF you don't know what Joe's shins & Feet look like, you will never know it is him on a wave, at the "lounge"---because That is all you will see of Joe!! JoJo getting some Monsters @ Killers, off Ensenada, Mex.

Everyone's welcome in Washington, but that's because our waves are hardly ever good, it's cold/blown out, and getting to the coast takes a few hours. But when you get there, a mutual understanding is shared between all the surfers because of the hell you have to go through to get there!
Washington state has some very nice slabs and big wave spots, you're just short on filler waves between the big days.
What song is playing at 24:00-26:00? Great tunes. The California coastline reminds me of my youth in LA. Always in the ocean until my lips turned blue.

This is about el nino, a weather phenomenon that only takes place in the pacific and mostly affects the west coast of the US. Not that I don't love east coast surfing

At 13:00 the rarely seen Pt. Mugu rock (Murphy's), then right after with the triangle rock sticking out Supertubes. There is another a little south called Deadman's. All three of these are just north of County Line. people forget but this is Ventura County, not LA.
Watch out for all the Westlake/1000 Oaks thugs that roam this coast. They are all super tough blue belts in BJJ and love to scrap with the Malibu locals.

Who has a boat and loves really cold water? Nice waves, but film seems to lack in some ways ....you decide. Coolum Bch QLD has filthy waves big and small, where you have two problems behind the onshore winds some days or early surfs are a must and houses are overpriced and subject to sea level rises.... All beaches in Australia are the property of the people. Peter

I surf in an inland city. I don't use a board and there is no ocean. Apart from that the surf is great. Also I get to wear a shit load of rip curl and quicksilver, cool billabong graphic tees. All the bitches think I'm such a rad dude until they hit seventeen and realise that I'm a fucking idiot

Eddie Da Silva lots are killed. Along with other injuries that occur ( fin cuts, board knockouts, broken bones, joints dislocated etc.) it's extremely dangerous

Sleeping Lion Roughly 2 to 3 people die surfing each while 12-13 people die from veding machines so yeah
