Love it guys. And as a software engineer, I especially appreciate the Open Source nature of it. Just too bad you're so damn far away for a visit! I'm in Canada but will try and get your beer some way, some how!
Very nice, guys. I just discovered the channel and will be following along. My partner and I started homebrewing recently and it's fun to think about scaling up in the future. We live in a small municipality in Norway (Vaksdal), so the channel is very close to home. We'll keep an eye out for your beer!
That's so cool! You certainly should! Hit us up on Instagram if you ever have questions about licensing and stuff :) It's very doable, just takes some effort and time.
I love the look of that pulley trolley you’ve got for lifting the grain basket and sliding it out to dump spent grain. What is the name of that track/trolley system? Have been looking for months for something like that.
I've been waiting for this video for months! Very exciting guys, thank you so much for sharing! I'm currently working on a scaleup to F300 and will be borrowing some of your tricks and lessons 🙌From my experience can recommend replacing the splash shield on cannular with two/three pieces of plastic film/buble wrap on either side - will save you lots of time during canning. Will probably come back with more questions later on, but for now - well done on completing this project!
It’s the Petzl Jag system and it works great! I got it from a company in Norway called Prostage. I would say it’s overkill though. But I’m a climbing nerd 🤓
We set a sparge water limit to our heater (37L) and then also set a limit on the max mash volume limit (142L) to make sure we don't overflow the basket. We have no problem with this and do constant 120-130L batches. The downside of course, if that we do have thicker mashes and have to resort to using dextrose for higher ABV batches if we want to have the desired 120L volume. Hope that helps!
RS PRO Round In Line Extractor Fan, 150mm. It's actually not powerful enough so we plan on replacing it with something more powerful and then to use it as an inlet fan for fresh air during high steam activities. If you have a smaller system then I think it's a great fan for the price! Remember it doesn't come with a power chord so you need to wire it yourself :)
Nice video. Using a B80 myself with a F40 and a F80. What do you use for oxygenation? I use pure oxygen now but have read that compressed air is better; not sure if this can be bought on small bottle’s however.
Right now I’m also using pure oxygen but plan on moving to an air pump. The only key with an air pump (you can use an aquarium pump) is to have a sanitary filter on the air line to catch harmful yeast and bacteria from the air. Bottles last a while though :)
So, do you guys sell wholesale kegs as well as wholesale cans? Are you discussing licensing in any of your videos? Do you have a small taproom or plan to have one?
We absolutely sell kegs in addition to cans. Content coming up on that soon. We haven’t discussed licensing yet, but we certainly can ☺️ of course it will be Norway specific. We don’t have a taproom and don’t have near-term plans for one. A bit too expensive to get a place with good foot traffic. There isn’t really a culture of driving to breweries here due to the strict regulations on driving with alcohol. Any other content you’d like to see?
Like my brewery, but clean. Not being mean but do you think you can make a buck with those volumes and hand canning like that? Or plan to upgrade with sales?
Not mean at all and a great observation! You are absolutely right that this small of a brewery will take forever to make a good profit. The goal is to make enough money to afford doing larger gypsy/contract brews on other’s systems. This will allow for more profit and more growth with a dream of affording our own “proper” system some day (10+ BBL). This is both our second job so till then we just want to have fun and enjoy the ride. Becoming rich isn’t really the end goal, having fun sharing beer is :)
4:01 best re-enactment on the whole brewtube
Thanks! It was a lot of fun to shoot 😂
Really cool setup! excited to see more content
Certainly more coming :) thanks!

This is great!!!
I plan on getting a similar setup so I will be very interested to see your progress with it. Thank you for sharing and good luck in your adventure!
Awesome! Thanks for joining along :)
Nice video guys
Thank you 😀
awesome!
Thanks!

Skylotec rail system and petzl jag pulley. Super overkill and might be hard to find 😅

Great advice! Do you then just throw it away when done with the canning session?
@@BentGateBrewing just spray it with any surface cleaner and wipe a few times, no need to replace and lasts forever.
Good work 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Thought bent gate had to do with „bend gate“, an issue a couple of years ago with Apple iPhones that got bent when carried in your pocket. :-)
Hahaha! Maybe we should start saying that instead :D
Where did you purchase the pulling hoist with rail? Does it work good?

according to my recepies the 40l sparge is not enougth for most of my beers, how do you deal with this? I also got a B150pro :))))
