Sleep Paralysis: When the body wakes up, during REM. REM is when your eyes go through a sleeping cycle, a cycle when your entire body is relaxed, numb, or “off” some may call it. Sleep Paralysis is when you wake up during your REM Cycle, which happens every single time you go to bed (or even just a nap!) REM is Rapid Eye Movement. Your eyes/brain goes through this constantly as you sleep. You are unable to move your body, nor talk because of course as you sleep your body just kind of... Shuts off or goes numb some call it. (Like Taylor said) The reason why you imagine scary, or weird kind of figures, or people because you can physically not move your body at all so your brain starts imagining things due to not being able to move. *So that practically means your brain scares itself and that’s the reason why you hallucinate these creatures or figures. Do not be worried if this occurs. Just relax, try to ignore the creature your brain is imagining, and breath. Like Taylor did try to move one single part of your body to signal your brain to wake. I only took 8 months of Brain Studies in college 3 months ago... So I cannot tell you every little detail but I tried. *You are loved, special and important no matter your gender, sexuality, religious beliefs etc. Just thought I’d share a little piece of mind with you.* Hope this helped. 💗
Yeah, still didn’t explain WHY the brain conjures up those images. You just said it’s because it can’t move anything. What? Why does that mean it imagines weird and creepy things?
Michael Scott the reason why you see figures is because your brain still thinks you're asleep, so it's still in the dreaming state. The only way to get through sleep paralysis is to either wait it out or slowly make little movements until you can move your whole body again.( or someone just wakes you up). It's basically when you are completely paralysed because it's when you wake up during sleeping paralysis which is basically so you don't act out your dreams. It's scary but as long as your not on your front facing a pillow you'll survive Edit: also don't panic. Cover your back and front and your chest because that will help you breath if the figure is hugging you or sitting on your chest. Stay as calm as possible and think happy thoughts and hopefully it will stop.
Taylor Louise In Florida (which is where Taylor and I live) there's a storm almost every day so it's quite good for telling scary stories at sleepovers and stuff 😁
Sometimes my body lunges myself awake. I will be in a deep sleep and suddenly I sit up really quick. It always freaks me out because I have no control over my body. It just happens.
Apparently that happens when your heart rate decreases to a level at which your brain thinks you are dying, so it gives you a sort of jumpstart. Might wanna double check, not sure if this is true.
I've had sleep paralysis before, I was sleeping on my side and I woke up facing the door. My covers were down to my waist because my room is always so hot at night and I pulled them down to try to fall asleep easier. I tried to pull them back up to my neck, but I couldn't move. I tried to talk, but my mouth couldn't move. I wasn't at panic level yet until I turned my eyes to face my door. I saw a figure crouching down like it was a frog. My heart began racing, as I saw the figure getting up very slowly. Now that it was standing up I could see that it was as tall as the door frame. It had crazy tangled hair, its body was skinny, and it had long claw like fingers. I'm not gonna lie, it looked like the girl from Lights Out. This was when I was 2014, two years before 2016, when Lights Out came out. The figure then walked over to my bed. I was now beginning to panic, trying to move, trying to scream, as my body was sweating. The figure stopped toward my face as I could only see its legs. My eyes moved to look at the figure. It was looking down at me, then, it moved its hand, stretching its claw like fingers at my face. It then touched my face feeling it. It then all of a sudden stopped, moved its hand away, turned around, and walked very slowly out of the room. I then finally was able to move. I shot up and was catching my breath as I was getting out of bed to turn on the hall light, I didn't see the figure. I slept with the hall light on for the rest of the night and didn't have trouble sleeping then. The thing that freaks me out to this day is that I've never had a history of sleep paralysis. You guys are probably thinking I'm making this up, and you guys can think so, but this is the truth. I hope it never happens again.
Dam bro thats scary, I had it one and I keep my door locked from the inside at night which helps since I can see it and I know that nothing without a axe can get to me
Wow thank goodness I never experienced anything like that :S Seems traumatizing. I had other scary stuff happen tho which freaked me out hard. But never that I cant move my body. But often when I woke up I saw things that werent there . Like a little boy standing in my door and he kept standing there until I started screaming. Or spiders on my bed, like huge crab like spiders.
Sleep paralysis involves the mind being in a dreaming state while you're awake, so maybe you experienced a technically similar thing but just without the paralysis part. I also think there's levels to it: one time I had sleep paralysis and couldn't make a sound, another time I was able to yell. So who knows
hey Sabrina :) And yes true Lucas, thats what I think. A few times I experienced the in between stage from going to awake to sleep and it kind of feels like an electrical sensation going through the entire body. it is so weird
I have sleep paralysis almost every single night since I was 12, and only if I fall asleep on my back. My mind is awake and I try moving my fingers, my arms, even opening my eyes and I physically can't. I can feel something standing next to my bed like right at my sides but I can't move or even look. Even when I can finally wake up and open my eyes it always feels like something is there in the room with me, just that gut feeling. Even at 20 years old now I still experience it all the time, but it doesn't scare me anymore. I've gotten used to it
Zach I’ve had it all my life. I’m exactly the same except I can see, however all I see is my door slowly open and a figure there. It slowly walks towards me. It has red eyes and has like claws. All I can do is watch until it goes away. However, I started to drink camomile tea before bed and listen to really calming music and it doesn’t happen as frequently. It’s just a small tip. Also, If you don’t like camomile tea, you can try peppermint too.
Damn thats scary... but whats even scarier is i've had similar experience with sleep paralysis, except that I've had it more often. I hope they don't happen to you anymore, because no matter how often it happens one can never get used to that weird feeling
Shaclone wtf are you doing here xD I am the guy on twitch you banned.. my names "league9589" can you unban me I'm actually a big fan of yours. sorry I offended you man.
The Führer Sleep paralysis is when the brain wakes up during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) but your body is not awake yet, so you can't move. Hence the name "Sleep Paralysis." And you sometimes see scary figures of ghosts, when they're not even there.
This was amazing especially with the thunder and everything. Never heard of sleep paralysis and I can't even imagine how scary that must be. But I loved this and hope you do more of them.
Can't move and have way too realistic hallucinations. One time I had and my hallucination figures weren't even scary yet just hallucinating while being immobile is scary.
It is scary...I've had it before...it's when I can't move your body. Sometimes u can awake or your body can be half asleep. Sorry if I explained it wrong I din't really know about it..so idk meh mom told meh it. But i'm not very is explaining it.
Idk I had it once like in 4th grade and I didn't know what it was so I just tried to move and I did. No demons no hallucinations *Edit* if you don't know sleep paralysis is when your mind wakes up before your body. When sleeping your brain kinda puts your body in a sleep paralysis so you don't act out your dreams so your brain then wakes up while your body is still in sleep paralysis
Possibly my all-time favorite ASMR video. This is a work of art, seriously. Her voice and style is just perfect. Wish she would do more of these whispered storytimes.
I've had a similar experience with sleep paralysis. This happened to me 5 or 6 times and each time I clearly remember. It is a disgusting feeling of helplessness, which I do not want to repeat, but the worst is that I can't predict it.
Nastikmousse they say your less likely to have sleep paralysis if you lay on your stomach. Most cases are similar, people fall asleep on their backs, they open their eyes but cant move and see a dark shadowey figure
I saw your name and I was like yes! An asmr video now I can fall asleep 😴 but then I read the whole title , and I'm now I don't want to fall asleep ! 😩
+ Rainey Can Glad to hear that. ^^ I have already experienced sleep paralysis myself and when I first experienced it I was falling asleep (hypnagogic sleep paralysis) and I noticed that I couldn't move anymore and it felt like my soul was being sucked out of my body and after that I had a lucid dream. After a while it happened again but this time I had it while I was waking up (hypnopompic sleep paralysis) and I didn't see anything scary but I heard weird and creepy sounds (I can't even describe them) and my body was getting really hot because I was so scared and I kind of felt like I was going to see something I don't want to see if I stay like this any longer so I tried to fully wake up and it worked. I was so confused after that so I did some research and found out that it mostly happens to people who sleep on their back and when it happened to me I was also sleeping on my back (in both cases).
Thanks for the video. To calm you and others who experience this down, I'll share some of the insight I gained when researching lucid dreaming, which will hopefully help you being less alarmed about this state. As far as I understand, sleep paralysis is a state where the mind is awake while the body is still/already asleep. If you were able to move when going to bed, chances you became permanently paralyzed during your sleep are slim to none, so the best thing to do is STAY CALM and try to fall back to sleep. It's hard for the mind to wake up the body in this state, but it is easy for the mind to fall back to sleep if you don't panic. Later they will both wake up simultaneously, as should be. You might even embrace the sleep paralysis as one step on the way to reaching lucid dreams if you want to try this. It is a similar state, just the mind isn't fully awake, but only parts of it are. Also, about the figures you see and the sounds you may hear during sleep paralysis - again, don't panic. The eyes and the ears are part of the body, thus they are kind of asleep, too. They don't produce reliable input to the brain, that is why these hallucinations may occur. You think you see or hear stuff during sleep paralysis, but most of it is actually just generated inside your brain (much like dreams are created in there) due to lack of actual input from the eyes and the ears. So try to remember this the next time you experience the phenomenon and then you can try to stay calm and try to fall back asleep, no harm or permanent damage will be done.
I've experienced sleep paralysis since I was 5. The best way to deal with it, as scary as it is is to go with it. Make peace with it and you will gain some power over it. Fear will always allow sleep paralysis to dominate you.
this sounds silly but if you're ever near an indian(native american) reservation, find a genuine hand-made dream catcher and hang it in your window. i know of several people very close to me who had been having issues with nightmares/paranormalities and the dreamcatcher seemingly eliminated most, if not all of them. i hate to say our houses are "haunted" but there are many unexplainable things that we've seen/heard/felt and these things seem to work wonders
how you’re describing the figure you saw, dementors from Harry Potter come to my mind. Maybe J.K. Rowling has had a sleep paralysis before & she based the dementors off of the figure she saw. I’ve heard a lot of people see about the same figure. Edit: the dementors are based off of J.K. Rowling’s previous depression. But idk she also could’ve based it off a sleep paralysis.
Seeing the same thing as a bunch of people isn't a big deal tbh. We've all seen many movies and already know what the monsters we may see look like. I wouldn't worry about it being real
J.k. Rowling is a very spiritual person she knows waaaaaaay more about sleep paralysis and astral projection than the average person. It's only scary because most people never understand what's happening, those who know are very aware that sleep paralysis is the gateway to the astral plane, and you can fully have control of what you do and where you go. Lucid dreaming is also connected to sleep paralysis.
CLICKED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. LOVE YOU QUEEN. THANKS FOR THE TINGLES!! Edit: Taylor, if you're reading this, I just want you to know you are the best asmrist out there. You upload at the perfect times and you have the most relaxing voice. I can always count on you to make me fall asleep, so thank you. You are so funny in your videos which is something you don't usually find with asmrists. Ps: OMG IVE HAD THE SAME SLEEP PARALYSIS SITUATION AS YOU DID. It was before school at four am and I couldn't move and it was so scary. I saw a dark figure in my closet because I leave it open all the time, but I thought I was being kidnapped 😂
Holy cow! You did it. You hit a million viewers. Thsts so awesome. Been watching your vids since when you only had half that. Good for you. I don't even watch tv much anymore. For tv I just kinda watch the different you tube channels im subscribed to. Your one of them. Anyways. Congrats.
I remember when I was 6 years old it was like 5 in the morning I woke up because I was thirsty, now when I was 6 I wasn't able to reach the cups on the counter,so I wanted to ask my mom if she could help me....I couldn't move...of course I was like: uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....when I was little I used to sleep on a mattress in front of my parents bed and I also used to sleep with my dog, so I looked over her and she was sleeping I tried to pet her but my arm wouldn't move...I was scared... I look over my parents closet and there's a black figure and a white cloudy figure fighting each other...I wanted to scream I wanted to move but I couldn't...apparently the black figure was made of fear, negative thoughts and the white figure was made of hope, and positive feelings....the black figure won and started to get closer and closer to me...I wanted to kick it but I couldn't move I close my eyes which felt like a second but when I opened my eyes it was already 10 in the morning...I was able to move and I never told anyone what I experienced
I have this thing called “Exploding head syndrome” Yes, it sounds weird but it’s true, it’s where just before you fall asleep you hear an EXTREMELY loud noise like a bomb or cymbal or trumpet blast... and it scares the life out of me :0 i hate it :(
That's actually really common, feelings of falling from high places, muscle twitching and hallucinations can all occur during the transition from awake to asleep. In fact, sleep paralysis is just waking up with residual chemicals that are released by the body to essentially paralyze you and prevent you from acting out your dreams.
If you search up Psychology and dreams it is all there. The Falling Feeling. The Exploding One. Sleep Paralysis. Night Terrors. And others. Its awesome. I would Like to experience all of em.
For me I couldn't open my eyes and couldn't move my body. I would just be awake on the inside and talk to myself in my head. I would also just move my fingers and toes then eventually everything and wake up. I hate when it happens it's super super scary even though I can't open my eyes. I still feel someone or something stare at me closer and closer. I can feel the presence of something every time. It happens to me like once or twice every 2 to 3 years. It's super eerie and I just hope it never happens again but If it does I hope I can't be able to open my eyes again so I don't see anything scary. I'll cry and deprive myself of sleep!
It happens to me way more often than I would like... sometimes I'll see figures moving around, while I can't move, and that is terrifying... or I'll hear knocking at my door or the doorbell ringing, but I can't do anything about it. It's totally freaky. Then when I finally do wake up I have to get up and see if there was actually anyone at my door... (there wasn't of course)
eviexeve think about happy thoughts or watch a happy video. I've heard stories that if you think about something happy and keep calm the figures turn into something fun and calming
Oml i once had sleep paralysis and i woke up i couldn't move i saw faces and shadows on the celing of my room i was terrified i tried yelling but i could only open my mouth it terrifying
try to relax next time, because you're actually in the dream world. with that being said, inside the dream try to imagine something funny, haha i am sure you'll enjoy it
Camilla Sanders try and learn lucid dreaming it helps a lot really a lot you have a lot more control over sleep paralysis I can lucid dream I used to be stuck in a cage in my night mare and when I feel like it I can change the scene
Just experienced this had some weird scary dream and woke up couldn't move or anything for like 10 seconds but I didn't see anything because I was facing my wall
Yeah that's really scary, especially when you can't breathe as well. The only way to wake up is stop panicking, get the breathing back to normal and focus on that rather than what 'can be' around. Good to have stories like that shared online :)
I used to have sleep paralysis ALOT (still do a little) there would be nights where I would wake up have sleep paralysis go back to sleep and have it AGAIN there’s been one night where I’ve had it 3 TIMES IN A ROW shits crazy man it’s come to the point that when I have it I don’t even feel scared anymore as a matter a fact I’m starting to get really annoyed by it
I remember my first time having sleep paralysis and I thought I was really awake but I couldn't move my body at all or open my eyes and it scared me to death then I realized there was a black figure in the top right corner of my room and then it lunged at me and was on my chest pushing me down and I tried going back to sleep and moving around a lot and nothing happened so I let a couple minutes go by and I realized that I was awake and huddled in a corner of my room and idk how that happened but it was so scary 😖😥
I've been there before. The figure hugged me so tight that it feels like i can't even breath. I tried to scream for help but nothing came out of my mouth. After all of that over, i asked my mom did she hear me screaming or shifting but she said i literally just sleeping normally. I never want that to happen to me ever again.
I've dealt with sleep paralysis consistently for 4 years and am now aware on how to wake myself Up even from a deep sleep to get out of bad dreams ect. The most important thing to do while experiencing sleep paralysis is trying to move your arms and legs and once you succeed you'll be awake and alert and most likely a little freaked out if not terrified. The first time I had it I wokeup and just turned the lights on and went to sleep on my stomach ( lowers the chance of having sleep paralysis by a lot ) if you have had sleep paralysis just try to remember the position you fell asleep in and try not to sleep in that position or it might happen again. If you need anymore tips just reply I'd be happy to share anything to help anyone. Goodnight everyone ❤ love you Darling 😘
Lilo I've been having it for a couple years. The dark figures happens very rarely on me (happened to me a few minutes ago btw). Luckily I can wake my self up too. I start with my fingers or toes.
It happened to me 3 times in a period of two months. The first time was absolute terror simply because I wasn't familiar with this phenomenon. It was more terrifying because I was trying to fall asleep but couldn't and then it struck out of nowhere. It started with the feeling of dread so immense that my spine started freezing from bottom upward. When the frost sensation got my heart the terror culminated - I started hearing weird sounds behind my head i can only describe like someone pouring water in a glass that empties itself constantly. The worst happened when something started pulling my hair violently from behind my head my heart nearly exploded. From that point on I don't remember anything, I woke up the other day regularly, wondering if I experienced an alien abduction. People who experience sleep paralysis know the true meaning of the word fear.
I've had it before, however I am a horror movie fan, and I am used to being scared of the dark, weird sounds, etc, But this fear as a kid protected me now of being scared of this stuff..
During sleep paralysis, I heard weird harsh whispering from a woman's voice in my hear. I couldn't understand her, but it was harsh and I was so scared. I didnt understand why I was experiencing it because I was on my side and it usually happens when you're on your back, but I tried pulling and wiggling my head more into my blanket, and i start crying. Once i woke up and could move, I looked every where in my room and my Christmas lights were on all around my room so it was lit up pretty well, which scared me more. I HATE IT SO MUCH!
I was actually reading something that told me sleep paralysis started appearing in the late 1400s and the most common occurrence was an old ugly woman who many called Mare. This is where the term “nightmare” came from
More storytime please! I've had sleep paralysis but my hallucinations were auditory instead of visual. I heard a voice coming from the ceiling warning me to "be quiet" (at the time I interpreted that warning was to protect me from a something evil in the room) Since it was the first time I had paralysis I believed that I was having an out of body experience and it was somehow my spirit speaking to my body from the ceiling. I was terrified. Just like you were. I wanted to wake up my boyfriend next to me so badly to help me but I couldn't scream or even move my hand. Then I reminded myself that my dogs were sleeping in the room and if there was something evil in the room they would be barking or alert at least. I finally fell back asleep and then found out what it was the next day like you did by researching. It has since happened quite a few times, usually with auditory hallucinations, of a female disembodied voice talking to me and always the adrenaline and fear. I try so hard to wake myself up. It only happens if I fall asleep on my back though which only happens if I'm incredibly tired so that might have something to do with it. Now that I know what it is I can get the fear to subside pretty quickly. I will try your trick next time and the holding your breath trick too.
I had the same thing as u once. In 5th grade I had a dream my whole 5th grade class was in the hunger games and I died and I woke up and I couldn’t move and I tried to yell for my mom but I couldn’t move and then like 3 seconds later I woke up and then that day when I woke up I told my whole class I died for 3 seconds in the morning and came back to life and looking back on it I crinkle my nose I thought I was the coolest kid ever 😂
I had a dream where a few of my friends and I were in some weird place kinda like the hunger games. If you watch anime, it was kinda like Sword Art Online.
i fell asleep after she told her story at freshman year and i woke up to someone crawling up my legs, and i was so scared but it turns out it was just my little cousin looking for attention
The thunder sound is actually really soothing
Depends on person I guess
I love thunder!

Jesus Christ on a bike! You're basically having a nightmare while your body's asleep and brain's awake.

All I can do is watch until it goes away. However, I started to drink camomile tea before bed and listen to really calming music and it doesn’t happen as frequently. It’s just a small tip. Also, If you don’t like camomile tea, you can try peppermint too.
Zach so if you don't fall asleep on your back, you don't get that?

Daniel Perez It's still scary, I get feelings of extreme panic every time.
I remember when i was in a deep sleep there was a loud thunder that it woke me up and i thought it was a bomb 😂
Perla Diaz 😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

This was amazing especially with the thunder and everything. Never heard of sleep paralysis and I can't even imagine how scary that must be. But I loved this and hope you do more of them.
I can proudly say that Taylor is the only ASMRist I like. ❤️❤️
So do I

I’ve never had sleep paralysis. Sounds really scary.
Its demons
Can't move and have way too realistic hallucinations. One time I had and my hallucination figures weren't even scary yet just hallucinating while being immobile is scary.
It is scary...I've had it before...it's when I can't move your body. Sometimes u can awake or your body can be half asleep. Sorry if I explained it wrong I din't really know about it..so idk meh mom told meh it. But i'm not very is explaining it.
Idk I had it once like in 4th grade and I didn't know what it was so I just tried to move and I did. No demons no hallucinations
*Edit* if you don't know sleep paralysis is when your mind wakes up before your body. When sleeping your brain kinda puts your body in a sleep paralysis so you don't act out your dreams so your brain then wakes up while your body is still in sleep paralysis
Anna Sturdivant It sounds like it'd be some form of torture
Possibly my all-time favorite ASMR video. This is a work of art, seriously. Her voice and style is just perfect. Wish she would do more of these whispered storytimes.
I've never had sleep paralysis before but I have woke up to someone crawling towards me on my bed, I was so terrified I couldn't make a sound!!
ASMR Angel you sure thats not sleep paralysis
ASMR Angel it was me
Oh sorry that was my cat
ASMR Angel what happened after that!
stop scaring me
I've had a similar experience with sleep paralysis. This happened to me 5 or 6 times and each time I clearly remember. It is a disgusting feeling of helplessness, which I do not want to repeat, but the worst is that I can't predict it.
Hey, you inspired me to make a song about cabbage. It's up on my channel now & I'd love to hear what you think :)
I just wiggle my finger and my body slowly comes back after like 10 seconds
I’ve had it more times than i can count it is really awful and I know how it feels
Nastikmousse they say your less likely to have sleep paralysis if you lay on your stomach. Most cases are similar, people fall asleep on their backs, they open their eyes but cant move and see a dark shadowey figure
Dgk Ilovehaters you are giving me Stranger Things vibes lol 😂😂😂😂
I saw your name and I was like yes! An asmr video now I can fall asleep 😴 but then I read the whole title , and I'm now I don't want to fall asleep ! 😩
i probably should not have watched this before going to bed cause now i'm scared this will happen to me
Sammmme
@alxxpspqr omfg that's awful 😱😞😰😧😦😦
It is really rare i had one in my whole life and the probability is very low

Rainey Can YOUR PROFILE PICTURE UESSSS
Sleeping on your back is what you want to avoid.
Black Rose thanks for the tip!! It actually didn't happen to be thankfully!!
+ Rainey Can
Glad to hear that. I was so confused after that so I did some research and found out that it mostly happens to people who sleep on their back and when it happened to me I was also sleeping on my back (in both cases).
lol thats a relief i never sleep on my back, always on my side or on my chest
Your hair is lush.

Her: mentions scary stuff
Me: puts my legs under the cover
You should do whispered or soft spoken ghost stories for Halloween!!

SpiriX cringe
SpiriX 😂😂😂
It’s-a me, ASMRio!
I've experienced sleep paralysis since I was 5. The best way to deal with it, as scary as it is is to go with it. Make peace with it and you will gain some power over it. Fear will always allow sleep paralysis to dominate you.
It’s my birthday today! Thank god the world didn’t end yesterday. Thank You for the great story Taylor!❤️
I love BWD Happy late bday
congratulations on 1 million subs!
for some reason Im just waiting for a jumpscare when I listen to these kind of videos, that aside, great video :D
I love how she says in the description 'Happy drifting', on a scary video... I don't think i'll be drifting tonight.
this sounds silly but if you're ever near an indian(native american) reservation, find a genuine hand-made dream catcher and hang it in your window. i know of several people very close to me who had been having issues with nightmares/paranormalities and the dreamcatcher seemingly eliminated most, if not all of them. i hate to say our houses are "haunted" but there are many unexplainable things that we've seen/heard/felt and these things seem to work wonders
PLEASE DO MORE STORYTIMES!!!!!!
how you’re describing the figure you saw, dementors from Harry Potter come to my mind. Maybe J.K. Rowling has had a sleep paralysis before & she based the dementors off of the figure she saw. I’ve heard a lot of people see about the same figure.
Edit: the dementors are based off of J.K. Rowling’s previous depression. But idk she also could’ve based it off a sleep paralysis.
The last thing I ever wanna see in my bedroom at night is a freaking dementor. I'm glad I don't experience sleep paralysis often.
Seeing the same thing as a bunch of people isn't a big deal tbh. We've all seen many movies and already know what the monsters we may see look like. I wouldn't worry about it being real
The dementors represented her depression
That's a bit off bro. Just because you've seen a guy get shot in a movie doesn't mean you won't be scared when a gun is cocked at your head.
I loooooove candle and match sounds. Plz do more
CLICKED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Anyways. Congrats.
Ur vids are my fave asmr Taylor!
Good idea on trying to kick it🙃
Animating with Moonlight yeah......
The fighting figures were a gateway. I believe if you cheer for the light and think happy thoughts it will win and you will lucid dream

he wants to go to sleep too
I thought it was Kill 'Em All.
I have this thing called
“Exploding head syndrome”
Yes, it sounds weird but it’s true, it’s where just before you fall asleep you hear an EXTREMELY loud noise like a bomb or cymbal or trumpet blast... and it scares the life out of me :0 i hate it :(
Tito its true i do experience it too
I feel like i am falling from a high place when i am falling asleep... does it happen to anyone else?
That's actually really common, feelings of falling from high places, muscle twitching and hallucinations can all occur during the transition from awake to asleep. In fact, sleep paralysis is just waking up with residual chemicals that are released by the body to essentially paralyze you and prevent you from acting out your dreams.
JULIEZAAN I think it happened to me once or twice
If you search up Psychology and dreams it is all there. The Falling Feeling. The Exploding One. Sleep Paralysis. Night Terrors. And others. Its awesome. I would Like to experience all of em.
Why is she so pretty damn
For me I couldn't open my eyes and couldn't move my body. I would just be awake on the inside and talk to myself in my head. I would also just move my fingers and toes then eventually everything and wake up. I hate when it happens it's super super scary even though I can't open my eyes. I still feel someone or something stare at me closer and closer. I can feel the presence of something every time. It happens to me like once or twice every 2 to 3 years. It's super eerie and I just hope it never happens again but If it does I hope I can't be able to open my eyes again so I don't see anything scary. I'll cry and deprive myself of sleep!
It happened to me too i just couldnt open my eyes nor move it was so scary and i felt that i was like that for hours
(there wasn't of course)
jesus that is dramatic
but ya its happened to me too its scary.....i dont like thinking about it
Whenever that happens, start breathing fast, and slow, and your body will realize ur conscious.
I have a scary story

Why are you watching asmr at night?
Everything Emma me tooo :O XD
Everything Emma yep it's 1 am
Everything Emma Are you a real girl?
Yeah that's really scary, especially when you can't breathe as well. The only way to wake up is stop panicking, get the breathing back to normal and focus on that rather than what 'can be' around. Good to have stories like that shared online :)
I used to have sleep paralysis ALOT (still do a little) there would be nights where I would wake up have sleep paralysis go back to sleep and have it AGAIN there’s been one night where I’ve had it 3 TIMES IN A ROW shits crazy man it’s come to the point that when I have it I don’t even feel scared anymore as a matter a fact I’m starting to get really annoyed by it
Voltzinator same with me
Same here, the fear is gone but definitely disrupts sleep.
Voltzinator same it sucks
Voltzinator yea I only got it once and it was really scary and now that I think of it I really feel bad for you bro
You Lot Are Dumb but that's how normal humans sleep
I remember my first time having sleep paralysis and I thought I was really awake but I couldn't move my body at all or open my eyes and it scared me to death then I realized there was a black figure in the top right corner of my room and then it lunged at me and was on my chest pushing me down and I tried going back to sleep and moving around a lot and nothing happened so I let a couple minutes go by and I realized that I was awake and huddled in a corner of my room and idk how that happened but it was so scary 😖😥
Vegetas worst animation ever even worse than Dbs that must have been scary..
I get it every night
I've been there before. The figure hugged me so tight that it feels like i can't even breath. I tried to scream for help but nothing came out of my mouth. After all of that over, i asked my mom did she hear me screaming or shifting but she said i literally just sleeping normally. I never want that to happen to me ever again.
SxCixxPuxxre damn that sucks
SxCixxPuxxre HAHAHAHAHHA LOL

Eye Tea she did it before in her most popular video
Eye Tea yes I want that to
I've dealt with sleep paralysis consistently for 4 years and am now aware on how to wake myself
Up even from a deep sleep to get out of bad dreams ect.
I start with my fingers or toes.
lucky I never experienced it
You wouldn't want to
BumbleGun1102 most of the times it just happens without trying
vegyess same
Don't jinx it
Same
It happened to me 3 times in a period of two months.
Taylor: black cloudy like figure
Me: Hell no to the no no no
Octavia Hart deadass I was scrolling then I read that then she said that
Haha
I love how long and pretty your hair is💖💁🏼
When your shortsighted almost everything you see in the dark is like a black cloudy figure
You should really do more storytimes! They're gaving me tingles and they are pretty interesting!
I Love when you open and Close the Match box
Just what I want to listen to while I try to fall asleep
Once I felt a bite in my finger (it was hanging from the bed).I couldn't move or wake up until like five minutes later.
AyeItzzKate That so f***** scary
AyeItzzKate That was a spooder
AyeItzzKate oh sorry that was my cat
AyeItzzKate Well it could be a pet or sibling. Do you have any pets or siblings?
Two Garcia why would his sibling bite his finger in the middle of the night?
Another story time please! For me whispering is the best part of ASMR.
Her hand shadows look like she has wings which make sense since she is an angel 💕
Ronox The almighty Slavic pepe has cast his judgement
During sleep paralysis, I heard weird harsh whispering from a woman's voice in my hear. I couldn't understand her, but it was harsh and I was so scared. I didnt understand why I was experiencing it because I was on my side and it usually happens when you're on your back, but I tried pulling and wiggling my head more into my blanket, and i start crying. Once i woke up and could move, I looked every where in my room and my Christmas lights were on all around my room so it was lit up pretty well, which scared me more. I HATE IT SO MUCH!
I used to see multiple shadows and hear them telling me terrible things. It's all a trick of the mind.
I was actually reading something that told me sleep paralysis started appearing in the late 1400s and the most common occurrence was an old ugly woman who many called Mare. This is where the term “nightmare” came from
Eyebrows on fleek
Now you surpass Maria in terms of subscribers. Queen of ASMR.
Norah lmao
I had a dream where a few of my friends and I were in some weird place kinda like the hunger games. If you watch anime, it was kinda like Sword Art Online.
Lol
i fell asleep after she told her story at freshman year and i woke up to someone crawling up my legs, and i was so scared but it turns out it was just my little cousin looking for attention
She is not lying ,I’ve experienced sleep paralysis for many years and she describes what its like perfectly
This is why I sleep with a eye mask and a nightlight
Background noise on this one is wonderful 👍🏽😍
