Have you been to Botswana? I saw some episodes of "The Number 1 Ladies' Detective Agency", which are all about Botswana. Looks like a fun place! You might enjoy the series, too.
Oh I will have to check that series out. I have not yet been to Botswana, but I hope to go one day. Did you ever see the movie "A United Kingdom"? It's the story of how Botswana's first president. Check it out.
OMG, I can think of so many things to say! I might have to say them all in 3 parts, too. Most Westerners don't understand that other countries can have many languages. The only European country that is comparable to Uganda in this respect is Switzerland.
Say them in 3 parts. I love 3 part things! Yes most westerners think Africa is also a country. It's problematic! Did you know that when Uganda was still a British protectorate, Kabale, Uganda was nicknamed ‘Switzerland of Africa’ because of the hilly nature and coldness! Interesting!
Natalie Brown OK, here is another part: All of the pronunciations of Kitenge are correct! Look at this recent video about how to pronounce "vase" from the professional dictionary editors at Merriam-Webster. Any pronunciation that you hear is correct. th-cam.com/video/y7AqzM4OmUo/w-d-xo.html
How spread is Swahili in Uganda? Because often it is named as one of countries that has Swahili as language, but the one Ugandan person I spoke to (yet), didn't speak it.

Natalie Brown I appreciate your special "accent" to make yourself understood a little more easily. I have to do this with hearing impaired people.
