I thought I was the only one getting over-emotional over a solo lol. But seeing John back and hearing HIM playing again, just brought tears to my eyes. He really is the soul of this band.
That's one of the stand out things for me. Anthony sounds great. He's absolutely on it and I cannot respect him enough for the hard work he must put in. He doesn't often get praise but he 100% deserves it right now.
Finally they played Wet Sand on this concert tour, I have nothing more to dream about. John seems to feel more confident, comfortable and relaxed, which makes his solos brighter, fresher and more exciting.
I don't care what anyone says, Stadium Arcadium was a great album and their song writing reached another level of musical maturity in that one 💿 shown in this great song and performance 🎸🥁🎸🎤
Yea, I always thought Stadium was the peak of RHCP. Everybody else disagreed with me saying it was Californication, or BSSM, but Stadium Arcadium was always my favourite album. John really poured his soul into it.
Stadium Arcadium is definitely the most well distilled album of the chillies, the purest summary of their whole spectrum of sounds throughout the ages.
They sounded great and it’s def up there! But for me Pink Pop 2006 is easily #1. Favorite solo for sure and John ends it by literally becoming Jesus at the end with that sick shot at the end.
@Harry that’s exactly how it seemed to me too; song after song of flawless performance flowing past far too quickly. I was dancing my socks off, thinking ‘Can they really be this amazing or am I dreaming?’ These videos prove exactly how great they were on that night, and I’m so glad we have them to see over and over. A million thank yous @Federico Francesco Falco ♥️
Love how he did the "key" bendings, that bring that strong and beautiful feeling of the original studio solo (a solo that seems unbeatable) to this great and also beautiful version
John felt like he was in the zone last night. The one jam I could see Anthony and Flea just staring at him either in awe or just wondering if he was ready to stop soloing and play the next song. All I know is it was epic and I’m so glad I got to be there to see and hear it ❤️🔥🌶
Is secretly my favourite song of theirs and was their right at the front to see this. Made the wait even more worth it! Hope when I'm in my late 50s I can move like Flea and Anthony!
People say the miss Josh... IAM glad Josh helped keep the band going and he did the best job anyone could of done to substitute John.... But there is one in John and Ian so glad he is back.... There was a missing touch for years....it's like GNR without slash....it just not the same without the man who made the hits with such passionate solos and bends .... irreplaceable.
@@amsathac I’d take wet sand over both buddy. But I’d love to of been there Saturday I think they did London proud 🥹 Glad I swapped Manchester for London 😎🤘🏽
FINALLY!!!! One of the songs I’ve been waiting for them to play!!!😭😭 how I love John changes the harmony from the way he did in the past and still makes all the sense!! ( wish AK didn’t YEAH and let John do it alone🤣 )and then goes the solo…🤤🤤
Yes my friend! Absolutely agree (again) 😅 that "Yeah!" part too important for me and John so wild alone with that scream 💯🔥and 🎸🔉🔊🙌🏼 (Btw Anthony gives the best singing of his life on this tour and maybe also the whole new album.) ✌🏻🌶️
Such an insanely beautiful song, one of my favorites from them and I am elated to see John back where he belongs. His spot in the band I feel is and always will be his whenever he wants it. Great execution from everyone with this one. ❤️
Good going Frederico. You had the golden circle spot, so glad you put it on youTube so I can see the Chili's in close proximity. I bought tickets on block 136 even with my Nikon 35X magnification couldn't get it as close as yours! Cheers. Awesome show! Pity it was a bit short, I remembered the O2 show I saw almost 5 years ago was much longer! Anyway, Wet Sand. One of my favorite songs! Seeing Frusciante's string master class was awesome. But I do miss Josh Klinghoffer too! Frusciante still the best!
Thanks for uploading this, my favorite song by them so far!! Love how well everyone sounds nowadays! I wish they had played it at Barcelona's concert ;_;
I saw them Saturday night and was hoping they’d play this … a little bummed I didn’t get to see it, so thank you so much for this! Hope everyone there last night loved the show!
absolutely amazing... this is my first time seeing even a video of john playing the whole song live... amazing how he can play everything... no backing needed. greatest band ever.
I'm seeing them Aug 4 in Seattle. I really hope they play this one! Behind Scar Tissue, it's their best song. Edit: That "YEEEAAAHHHH" was 💯. So rad to see JF and Anthony singing together again. That solo was nice.
Anthony sounds great and John’s solo was amazing, but I kind of miss when only John did the big scream “Yeah!” right before his solo. It still sounded amazing.
Travelled from Manchester after Outbreak Fest on the National Express just arriving to the stadium at the time of the opening jam. I live near Stratford anyway so knew my way around thankfully. Wouldn't wish that nightmare on anyone. After having looked at setlists across this tour I had little faith they'd play Wet Sand, but was looking forward to Hey. The latter wasn't played, but when this started I began jumping up and down on the spot. I had to switch my mind off from the drunk morons beside me shouting "play something we know!". Unbelievable. This was the musical highlight of the year alongside Tool in London and a few other special shows. Flawless.
I traveled from Brazil just to see the Peppers in Manchester and in the first London gig. For weeks, I have had such a strong feeling they would play Wet Sand, which didn’t happen in any of theses concerts. I decided to also attend the second London gig, in the last minute, and told a friend: I have to go, because I will simply die if they play Wet Sand and I’m not there. They finally played it. And I was in the front row. Guys, I swear… I just dropped the cup of water I was holding. I cried so hard that at some point, the security guy handed me a tissue. This is a moment I will never forget, and the video actually surprised me, that was an AMAZING performance. Thanks for filming it!
I really wanted these RHCP shows with camera footage from the stage, like Slane Castle, Rock in Rio, We have the cell phone footage, but they're not that good, but I still thank the people who recorded it

same man bro, brings emotion out of guitar like no one else
its incredible how good anthony sounds. frusciante's solo. just wow. this band will live forever!
True, Anthony's been impressive lately!!
So true! He is just getting better
In one of the podcasts they said that when frusciante is around all of them up their game. That’s true for AK as well
you forgot to add how good they look,, considering that they are around 60.
the magic of frusciante
I thought Anthony's sounded amazing on this tour. The best he's ever sounding. They are all amazing.
what are you guys smoking, he cheats every harder note
@@rayaqindo it better 🤙🏻
Dude Anthony sounds so much better than he did in the 2006 performances of this song !
i saw them play it in 2006 at Earls Court, was amazing then, arguably better now
@@newukshooter2932 I also saw them in 2006 in San Diego CA and they played this song.

@@DemonSlide I can't remember who opened but Patti Smith did a couple of her songs with the boys during their set
Don't know about that, bro. Anthony clearly used autotune in recent RHCP album. Voice always gets less sonorous by 50s.
Finally they played Wet Sand on this concert tour, I have nothing more to dream about. John seems to feel more confident, comfortable and relaxed, which makes his solos brighter, fresher and more exciting.

Might be the best version of this they've played live
Up there with PinkPop and Fuji
I agree!

One of the sickiest solo's of the tour yet

i was stood in sheer euphoric disbelief when this started playing. What a show.
I was lucky enough to see them both nights in London. It was amazing. This, emit remmus, otherside, soul 2. It was otherworldly

Yeah but they didn’t do this, otherside , zephyr song or scar tissue:( where were all the chill ones?
Man this is was the best set they’ve played to date! Zephyr and Wet Sand 🤩
Disagree - I think Saturday’s set was better. No scar tissue or otherside?
