So pulling a gage up with tape does not affect it at all? I would think it to be much more sensitive if you have to measure changes in force using the bridge on the gage. How much force can a strain gage actually withstand before it’s suspected?

How I can solder the gauge wires. They are so thin. I have tried to solder at low heats but that was not working

Would you be able to tell me the maximum temperature the SG401 adhesive can withstand? I've gotten contradicting answers. Thank you.

I have a question: If he has a ruler made of aluminum or iron, should I clean the ruler with 80 grains of silicon carbide before applying strain?

May i know, how can i know more about behaviour of strain gauges at low temperature?
What are the installation procedure to be considered at low temperature?

What kind of glue do you use? is it glue for eyelashes? Thanks

The proper glue to use is called M-Bond 200 & it's used with a 200 catalyst. I wouldn't trust normal super glue - it's essential the gauge is properly bonded to the surface, else the data will be meaningless

we wanted to collect vibrational data from the strain gauge and feed it to NI DAQ.
my question is which type of strain gauge should we use and with which amplifier module.
    Thanks in anticipation !
