Sorry for the little cut at 8:09 I was double-checking that the recording was working properly, since I've had issues with it glitching out and not saving properly in the past, and if that happened here, I would have found the nearest cliff to yeet myself off of.
Big agree with what you said about the fighting having loads of RNG and it making it annoying. most non budget players don't realize how much RNG you need for the teams that are pushing it with value. It's still rewarding to win but it does corrupt the enjoyment of what could otherwise be a peak fight. Also when the fight first came out the life drain could kill you even if you won the fight and made you lose... It was very annoying. (Also you deserve more subs. Always makes me sad you haven't gotten more :(
Oh man, if I'd lost to the DoTs after finally getting him, I think I'd have chucked my phone out the window lol. That'd be an insanely cruel thing to have to look out for. And thank you, I appreciate hearing that! It's fine though, I'm just glad people like my stuff!
Did not expect you could survive his HP Downs right at the end. Very nice gameplay tho, made me realize some approaches I could also do with other bosses
This was the fight I flat out told myself: "Give yourself three attempts to get him as low as possible, then start burning those leylines because FUCK THIS." Seriously Constant AoE Constant DoT Berserker class Hits hard enough to wipe Foreigners in a few turns anyway Deliberately designed to circumvent Van Gogh despite being curse centric God forbid he crits and you don't have invul 'cause that's a line wipe right there Damage cut that puts more DoT on you the more you mitigate it Can give himself invul and a stack of his gimmick Every attack can give him a stack of his gimmick I know what they were cooking. They *_specifically_* wanted players to feel like they were fighting an embodiment of 14,000 years' worth of hate and curses. But holy fuck, they could have AT LEAST made the support from Cu mitigate some of this crap better. Oberon right after is VERY MUCH a pushover on purpose, cause if he were hard too I guarantee people would rage quit the game. Even as it stands Cernunnos is a filter. I deliberately came at him with the absolute most meta strategy I could and he still kept wiping me because "Lol, rolled a Yahtzee." Shit's ridiculous.
...*exhales* Honestly I got mad respect for you for doing this. I didn't have a meta support for the longest (Castoria was my first- got her on the anni banner she first dropped on) and frankly I don't think I have the patience for this without a second one to maximize damage, just so this fight would end more quickly.
I mean Leyline stones exist for this very purpose. So that the dev team can make hard fights without having to worry about players with less stacked accounts and/or patience to be stuck. The Cernunnos fight is very much bullshit gimmick on top of bullshit gimmick, but that is on purpose
@@MetalGearExcelsusMGRR 1. Spreading high damage curses throughout the party, which will set Van Gogh to 1 HP in 1 or 2 turns if she absorbs them all. 2. Stun immunity.
I have the invencibility team (Castoria, Morgan, Lady Avalon), and who carry me in the last moment was Cu Chulain alter. I can say, I feel it like it was a battle against a true god.
demeter was worse than this because of her mechanics. It's not post-damage 10k heal in a berserker like this, it's an absurd amount of regen and infinite mitigation cycles in a caster. And to top it all, the useless mandatory lancer AoE support. Cernunnos, hard as it is, was made to be beatable by anyone; I remember a guy simply put support castoria, and two lv1 zerkers, and kept punching him, using her skills to deny damage and increase attack, and using the leyline stones. He had to use 4, but it's acheivable with 3 if RNG helps, and nothing else in LB6 would require continues (except maybe melusine vs ego muramasa/caster cu because, I don't know, another useless mandatory support for the pile), so everyone would reach this battle with 8-10 leylines left. You remove his curses, and all his defense is also gone. So, hard, yes, but everyone can pass this fight with the continues (and a mandatory support which is finally helpful for something). Demeter does not give that option; if you don't have enough damage to bypass her heals+defense, not even the 10 stones would be enough. Someone starting today has no access to any NP5 welfare rider, NP5 ST berserker (which would be useless because I doubt they would have a setup to keep any zerker alive), will not have enough mats to level the only viable 3 stars (ushi/mandricardo), probably won't have castoria for the np batteries and at least one np denial, and won't have any command code to remove half her mitigations. So, you'd use a stone, come back with all nps, use once each at 25% efficiency, get max hp reduced, die 2 turns later, and she would regen and refresh the defenses. That fight was a hardlock, unlike this one. This fight would be 400% harder if cernunnos was an avenger and, given the story, it was pretty much what he should be. But no, I wouldnt want to fight this shit as an avenger because, as usual, no one starting today will have the only NP5 welfare (from the rarest class in game) which would be able to deal decent damage to it. I truly hate this game CE/CC mechanics. Gachas wouldnt be half as bad if 95% of all CEs were removed from existence. To date I don't have a single one of those 1 turn taunt CEs, black grails, kaleidoscopes and etc, but I (and everyone else) am always getting this shitty chibi shinji, sakura bento, la folia, and all other garbage available.

you don’t gotta apologize for nothing king
Really messed up that Cernunnos got poisoned again.

Thank you, and yeah, most DOTs thankfully work like that.
the proof that in FGO , you can beat the game with almost every servant.
nicely done lad!!
This was the clip I've been waiting to see from you. Beautifully done.
Much obliged and pardon the wait!

out of curiosity, how is the fluffy boi designed to circumvent van gogh?

Thanks for the hard work for defeat this annoying boss using f2p servant
Glad to be of service!
Congratulations man, what a BEAST!
Thank you!
That last bit having only Shiki survive had me impressed, well played
Holy shit. That's nice. Close call on that last NP. One more curse stack and it's all fucked.
I’ve had quite a few runs where the fluffball lived exactly because they had one curse stack too many lol
It ain’t fun!
Starting to think i gave up a bit too early on this fight. Wish we could replay story fights.
"yeet bow"
- Robin
That exact 1k hp and 70% charge Shiki into the double NP damage CCs and NP for the kill was clean.
if we can only pick support altria in this battle, I'm fucked.
I didn't know there was a command code to increase the np strength!!!! Clean as f
Impressive !
Thanks!
Theres more effort put into this video than all whale clear of this fight combined, very nice
So the 3 starts and mass is not a problem what is the problem is that I don't have the free 4 starts so when re getting them bacj
Yeah especially nightingale archer
Now, i can finally have guide to beat that fluffy. 😭 Thanks
Did we have a Shiki rerun event👁👁
Você é Incrivel!

I thought Cu would be the hero on this one
How did your Robin Hood start off with 70% NP?
50% from the CE and 20% from Append Skills.
