Very cool. Net is most complicated part. I disagree with comments saying, "Just buy an actual set." I think it depends on the situation. If you play all the time, sure. If you play four times a summer and would enjoy building this while saving $40 dollars, then this is a FAR better choice. It all depends on the situation. Good video and suggestions. Might build this with my kids. Fun project.
Its a much better deal to just buy the official one in the long run. You get unlimited free parts, which will happen a lot if you play often and people fall on the net. Also support spikeball, they are a great company!
I have several small trampolines about the size of these I use for my kids gym. It seems to work well and if my own 2 and 4 year olds fall on the trampolines it's built better. Plus any ball can work. In physical therapy I've used small trampolines and a ball for therapy. Also, basketball has a trainer you throw a ball at. Not an innovative concept. I can use those nets or DIY.
Or... just buy a proper one because those holes around the rim are awful. Not to mention tightening and loosening the net for tension looks like a chore
I'm always one for DIY, but the amount of time spent sourcing, cutting, & assembling, not to mention other inconveniences like leg slippage that Spikeball remedied, it's just better to buy the original.
Your spike ball net is better quality then that yellow and black one not well made into some one falls on it yellow legs easily brake not worth the cost selling it for

Where does spikeball say that you get unlimited free parts? The warranty terms say you need to make broken parts claims within 7 days?
