Tune in tomorrow for the "Which side of the bed do you sleep on?" conversation which is bound to evolve into the "I like camping." conversation. Meanwhile, by the end of the pre-tapes Spencer will have half the table covered in various drinks, Roth will be showing us pictures of dogs and cats on her phone, and Dan just might be the great Cornholio with his flannel on his head.
Subarashii !!! We get Charting on tuesdays for the next while. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are their live taping days, and when they make extra pre-tapes.
I miss you guys live, but I am sooooo grateful for these pretapes. I have been watching every day for about a year and a half and I didn’t even realize how much of an impact you guys have on my life until the live shows were gone :( my family is just outside of LA county too.. praying for all of you!!
It was amazing having Roth Cornet back hosting. That 'Avatar' story made my day, "...its hell here". XD Thank you to Dan Murrell for bringing up 'Batman ( 1989 )' and the state of comic book movies at that time. 'Batman' really was a cross cultural phenomenon, good times. Stay safe everybody
Roth's definition of 'breakfast burrito' is anything in a flour tortilla with an egg. Seems legit. I laughed so hard at ''The 20s are coming in your face!'' that I hard trouble breathing ha ha. :'D
Me: I can't believe I'm watching Roth, Dan, and Spencer talk about breakfast burritos. Also Me: I could watch my rental of Terminator: Dark Fate. Me: guess I'm watching Breakfast Barrito talk.
Soon we'll have the local cut-ins with local talent such as: Spencer playing "My Heart Will Go On" on a recorder with a fully-trained Dancing Joe in the background.
Did any of you catch Dredd 3D in 3D on the big screen? How was it? I only learned of the movie long after it left theaters and it's one of my favorite, rewatchable 2D movies.
And yes, there are bird like mutants, like Beak, other than that, Deathbird, sister to Lilandra of the Shi'Ar empire has the same avian genes as her people, but with talons and wings as a mutation.
Movies that are great in 3D......Tron Legacy. I was living in South Korea at the time that it cam out and I not only saw it in 3D, but I went back to see it again in a 4D theater. It was amazing.
Arrggggghhh, the memories of sitting through that for the sake of my son who was so excited to see it. I keep trying to forget and then someone mentions it in a random comment.
On the Graham Norton Show, Ryan Reynolds said he was "60% confident" it wasn't him who leaked the Deadpool footage. That doesn't sound like a denial to me.
More questions your pretapes. Best/worst "blank check" movie. Like trevorow did book of Henry with his jurassic world clout and taika waititi got Jojo rabbit made after Ragnorok
Man, hopefully you guys have a lot of these pre-tapes stacked on the shelves. Heard it's going to be like five months or so before this all blows over. Gonna miss seeing you guys live.
Depends on where you are and how bad it gets. The majority of persons will experience some flu symptoms and economic problems. The 1918 pandemic was a million times wrose, and humanity survived. Though .. we should all take the proper precautions.
Titanic and Avatar aren't the only James Cameron movies that people doubted. Before The Terminator came out, Arnold Schwarzenegger called it "some shit movie I'm doing that will just take a couple weeks." The entire cast and crew of Aliens was openly hostile and insubordinate towards Cameron because they felt he was a major step down from Ridley Scott. As you guys mentioned, both Titanic and Avatar were raked through the mud up until their releases because no one believed Cameron could pull them off. Even his arguably least popular film, The Abyss made double its budget. He may be a nightmare on set, and not all of his films hold up years later, but one thing's for sure, never bet against James Cameron.
Thank you Screen Junkies and Fandom! You and other awesome TH-camrs like you are helping to keep everyone sane in this time of self isolation. When distractions are necessary, why not learn a thing or two? Thank you for all that you do.
I got to see Titanic on the big screen in 2012 because it was the ship's 100 year anniversary. My mom took my best friend at the time and I to see it and it was amazing. 💗
Not really. We just drifted apart as we got older. I only added that in because it is what Roth said and I could not believe how similar our stories were.
21:10 I'm Mexican and I'm offended by this question. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS SOFT SHELL OR HARD SHELL TACOS! There are tortillas and if it's hard it's a tostada. Just because it's bent doesn't make it a taco.
Ever think of using a stream service like Mixer or Twitch? Just a thought during these times. It does depend on your home internet situation though. It’s West Coast where you’re at so I am guessing you’re on the faster end of the spectrum.
Hugo was probably the best use of 3D in any film because the movie is about cinema and its advancements especially in technology so its use makes both logical and emotional sense in the movie.
On Roxi’s channel she said they told her she’s not filming at all for the foreseeable future, which means no income at all for any hosts considered freelance rather than full time, which I’m assuming includes Roxi, Ed, Danielle, Emma, etc. Maybe Danielle is different because she works on Honest Trailers, idk. Not sure if they’ve just dropped their freelancers or if they’ve shut down altogether, but the lack of communication to us and lack of care and support for their integral contributors feels very un-screen junkies. Go subscribe to their individual channels, y’all. In some cases that’s their only source of income right now.
They haven't "dropped" anyone from my understanding. All of this stuff is pre-taped by a skeleton crew so far. And from the sound of things they are still trying to figure out if there is a way to even do the show now that things are being even more restricted. That's probably why they haven't been on point with communication. Things are just changing too rapidly. Hopefully they can get a setup of a group video chat and get the freelancers involved.
Yes, everyone should ABSOLUTELY subscribe to everyone's individual channels and support them. These recent episodes were all pretaped in a day, and the next batch (featuring Joe/Emma/Roxy/Ed) were also pretaped in a day as we ramped down our schedule. We're doing our best to take care of our own and adjust as things change- and honestly we know as much as the rest of you when it comes to the day to day of what's happening out there. -joe
Afaik you would still get income (whatever ad revenue left over after yt takes a chunk) on older videos, too, not just new ones. So: what the universe is telling us is to watch and rewatch eeeeevvery video from people we want to support. (And, obviously, don't skip the ads or use ad blocker. 😑)
Fandom Entertainment I know y’all couldn’t have been prepared for this, and I know LA freelance culture is its own whole thing. I’m hoping Fandom can maybe learn from this and build in some safety nets for their peeps in the future. I love all you dudes (you know I adore you, Joe), but tbh the additions of Roxi, Danielle, and Emma are the only reason I kept with it after Roth took a back seat. I’m middle management at a faceless corporation and they’re taking care of me. These people deserve the same.
It would be interesting if they did a chat video from different places. Like their heads appeared in boxes as it does on CNN lol. It wouldn't be that hard to do and it could include any of the "freelance" people. I feel like all you need is a webcam and away to record it. Of course the quality would drop significantly but I don't care about that. Anyhow, I also want to say (if they actually look at this) thanks for doing the pre-tapes. It's going to get really hard for me in the next week or so as my job has also shut down and most of the city I live in is now in a sort of lockdown. Good luck to everyone and stay safe.
Who was planning to go to a space with dozens/couple hundred people in close proximity and breathing the same air? Unless it was one of those screenings with the huge reclining chairs.

The cornholio bit would never work. there is no t.p. for his bunghole left on the shelves.
@@neverlistentome But that's exactly why he'd need to start demanding t.p. from everyone he meets. Hmmm, this gives me an idea...
Everything you just described sounds amazing.
All bow before The Great Danholio!
That's sounds fun. Honestly I love when they get sidetracked, it ends up being hilarious.
Am I the only one waiting for Charting with Dan?
I don't mind if you do it on your couch while video chatting with lon
They're probably did a bunch of pre-tapes and thats all we'll get for awhile. Im sure they're social distancing for 2 weeks....
