Great video I just had this injury on Christmas Day of all days. Went to ER today and confirmed complete tear. Waiting for surgeon to call me this week. Great info on what to expect
I woke up one morning at the age of 72 and couldn't fully straighten my right arm and it was hurting in the area of the distal bicep tendon. It didn't resolve in a few days so I got an MRI. The MRI report says that the distal bicep tendon has a small partial tear. I have no idea how it happened. I'm 78 now and haven't had surgery. I still can't straighten the arm and it hurts a bit from time to time if I overuse it. I'm curious why I can't straighten the arm and if that is a typical symptom of a distal bicep tendon tear.
I’m currently one week out of surgery postop and I’m wondering if anyone has had trouble opening their hand, my fingers are very stiff and I cannot move them an example would be as if I was counting using my fingers 12345 and I cannot open them without using my other hand. Has anyone else experienced this? I had a complete rupture of my distal bicep tendon they used a button technique to repair
I had the same issue after my surgery it was due to a nerve injury during the surgery. I regained full motion in 2 months. Hope you’re getting better now
@@LowEnd31st the tendon repair surgery went well. Post surgery/therapy was a bit rough but I gained full movement in my hand back to 100%. I honestly thought my hand wouldn’t ever be the same again but it took 7 months for it to be back to normal again. Therapy helped tremendously. Hope this helped! Have patience it will come back.
