There was a time in my life when I hated music like this. Music that was sweet, and upbeat, and calming... It used to put me on edge. I've been through a lot in my years, and that left me pretty messed up. Always nervous, always on edge, always ready to fight to stay safe. It was miserable. Feeling that way every waking moment frays your nerves and tears away at your sanity. It's taken a long time, ten years and counting, to even begin to deprogram that hypervigilance and just learn to relax, and be happy. Nothing will take away my life anymore. I'm safe now. Well... As safe as you can be. I can rest, and everything will be okay when I wake up. It's only when I found myself relax to this tune did I realize how much I've grown, adapted back to normal life. I might not be there yet, but... Hey, I'll get there. Not sure why I decided to type this out. Maybe someone else will be comforted by knowing someone else felt like they do? If so, know that things get better.
Respect to you for writing this. I definitely think someone will come across this post and relate to and maybe even feel comforted by what's said here, so I think it's great that you took the time to write something like this for people to see on the Internet.
