I mean try talking to the punk instead of staring.. most are really cool. some are insane but i mean really they're more like spikey hippies these days, nobody's down to smash the state anymore :((

How does one build such a self-confidence like them? I think most of us are captured in social standards we'd like to leave a bit. Sorry I am not English.
The self confidence comes when you stop worrying about social standards and be yourself. Having an outward appearance that rebels against social norms actually helps to achieve that. It puts off an impression that you are outside of the zone of criticisms of social standards and unaffected by them.
Just dont care what others think. A those few that "harras" you, ignore em. Or you can just move away in most cases. They will stop when they notice you dont get effected. Atleast been the case for myself. Then again i dont use social media, youtube is proberly the most social i get via browser :-P
The fact some of you people think someone had to be developmentally screwed to want to look different says a lot more about your limited social circles than it does about them.
His friends are not filming whatever, they have different kind of life don’t care about social media. Their looks maybe crazy or whatever but I am sure they are happier than most of us
