I love the sound of skins sticking in the morning. I would have bagged the peak, just for the fact that it was possible. Sketchy trip down. May!
In retrospect, I am sure it would have been fine to tag the summit but still happy with the decision I made.
Was this filmed relatively recent? I thought couloirs need to be climbed in spring. Is it because the weather has been unusually warm here in Colorado?
Filmed last May
Hi! I have a question. I’m looking to hit a few 14ers this summer (late June early July). I think a cool idea would be to climb Sherman and be up on the summit by like 3am for a bit of star gazing and a sunrise. Is this a good idea and will my Honda civic make it all the way up to the gate?
www.thevirtualsherpa.com/mt-sherman-14er-trail-guide/ & I don't see why it would be a bad idea so long as teh weather was good.
