My school was one of the few that had a VCR so although I knew this animation existed, it was often fast forwarded through to get to the actual programme. I did see it once live when I was home ill from school though.
No, The practice of this Junction of ITV Schools on 4 lasted 6 years, between September 14th 87 to June 28th 93, Channel 4 took over the running of Schools programmes in the Autumn of September 93, The Holding device was no longer use for the first programme of the day in Janurary 93 and was cut short to 40 second clock of just a minute. Schools programmes on 4 was last seen in June 2009.
I believe the original question was asking how long S4C took the ITV Schools on 4 normal junctions during network-network programmes. From what I gather (willing to be corrected), the example seen here pretty much continued (i.e S4C using their own roto/clock for opting out into a local show and then using an ITV Schools on S4C roto/clock back into network) during 1992-3.

My primary school teachers often let us watch the programme when it came on. It was in secondary school that the teachers had to record programmes.
I remember seeing this in primary one in 89 and then I seen it again in science class and my mate saying how ancient is this good to see it again
I like this ITV Schools on Channel 4
It was my 8th birthday 3 days ago 👍😂
How long did the practice of taking the C4 junction last? Was this for all of the 92-93 year?

Shame they couldnt bring it back.
It certainly would be a blast if they did bring it back and hopefully they won’t sabotage it by using modern day cgi.
