- In this video we show off one of our newest patinas in the Traditional line, Rustic Brown. Rustic Brown was designed to work on steel but it also will develop a vanish on zinc, bronze, brass, and copper.

i'm looking to use this as an exterior finish on a heavy steel BBQ grill. is there any problem with situations where the metal will be exposed to high heat (300ºF-1000ºF)
The patina can take a good amount of heat without changing, it is the clear coat that you need to look at to find out how much heat it can take. I might try using an engine clear coat or something that is rated really high in order to keep the metal from changing colors.
Id like to touch over an aluminum lightsaber hilt with some a14, but am wondering if handling it would be bad for skin or metal toxicity. I guess I'm already handling aluminum, but wondering if the patina would be different somehow.
You would want to seal it so that it doesn't burnish off. Here is the video of the saber I built: th-cam.com/video/Q3gN6mD8kVI/w-d-xo.html
Would this work on stainless steel?
Unfortunately Rustic Brown does not work on stainless steel. Honeycomb and Slate Black are the next closest for a brown on stainless steel.
Is this not just ordinary copper sulfate?
Copper Sulfate is a different patina, you can find that video here: th-cam.com/video/qI6v9lWch54/w-d-xo.html
Where can we buy the chemical
