7:00 Suddenly I'm reminded of Martin Brundle walking around the Formula 1 paddock with his silly radio microphone aerial and meeting Ozzy Osbourne there.😂👍
Nick enjoyed the tour with you. Thanks for this good video. God bless you.

First time watching your coverage! Great and quick overview. I hope you had a great convention. I wish the best year yet, 2025! Thank you for visiting our great California. Hope you come back soon. All my best from Hollywood California.
Great to see Amos working on something new. He's like the American Tats. We're going to get a lot more cool stuff from him in the years to come, I'm sure.
Every time i see a Nick Batt NAMM video, I hear him in my mind saying, "Daaayyyve Smith ... another hit product," from the 2016 NAMM launch of the OB-6.😢😊😊😊 Dave was such a star at NAMM.❤ th-cam.com/video/yUb5FO4jO90/w-d-xo.html If I think a synth sounds good, I go back to this video to see how it stacks up to Dave jamming on the OB-6.
Medeli, yes, they made the keybed on my Kurzweil PC4 VAST synth, weighted 88. It is very good and controllable with fast reactions. Which is surprising because I gave my Medeli AKX10 away because it was unplayable with velocity. However when I MIDI cabled in to control the AKX10 from my Roland RD-2000 it was still uncontrollable, so the problem was with the engine or sampling, not the actual keybed. The AKx10 was certainly not the same keybed as the Kurzweil obviously.
If I remember the layout correctly, there’s the main hall you walked through, the lower level with a lot of foreign manufacturers, string and wind instruments and newer companies, then upstairs was some larger companies like Yamaha and Fender and posher piano companies in the larger meeting rooms and software companies in the smaller rooms…I think Roli was up there one year too. Then the old ice arena had a lot of amps and interface companies…aaaand, then there were some exhibitors in the hotel meeting rooms adjacent and sometimes even in the odd hotel room as well. Then you have the concert stage and food kiosks outside, but if you really want to eat you know to go to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles (of Tarantino film fame) a few blocks down the street and finish off with Joe’s Italian Ice a little farther on. Joe’s Crab Shack (not related to the ice place) is pretty good too if you want crustaceans. For fast food along Harbor Bl, Raising Cane’s is pretty tasty. There’s a Morton’s and Ruth’s Chris steak places nearby too, but if you take a 20 minute cab ride to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa you can get a ribeye steak for two for 1/3 the money that tastes just as good as either of those places. Other cab ride grub, for Mexican I recommend an Avila’s Ranchito, and there’s the 8 million pho restaurants in Westminster/Little Saigon.
BX1 is a prototype at least a year away from retail without a working FX section yet, but there's a sounds only demo of the current state of play here th-cam.com/video/vUtcplu6KTs/w-d-xo.html
yep - it has been stated that Leviasynth is a name they registered just as they thought it was a cool name.. and just incase they wanted to use it.. and they actually registered some other names too.. I'm sure they will bring out something at some point.. but yeah name registrations aren't a good indicator in their case
Man, I could watch an hour or two of this. As someone who can't afford to travel, I really do get a kick out of these walking tours.
Hi @Hobbersharp checkout some of Synthaddict's streams 🙂
@mattbrown-mb thank you! Will do :)
Me too, love these types of video. Longer! 😊
mennnn I could watch this for hours and hours haha loving it!
Love your NAMM coverage Nick. I look forward to it every year. ❤
Really good to see Amos Gaines is still making synths, that guy is a design genius with his Moog Sub37.
I still have my Sub37. Was surprised to learn, just now, that he isn't at Moog anymore hmmm.
Right!!! I'm more psyched to see him working with a new company than any of the NAMM news!

Really grate coverage this year. Thank you y'all!
Excellent coverage and a really fun walk and talk. Great presentation.
Thanks to the whole team for bringing NAMM to my living room once again. Maybe one day I'll be able to travel there and thank you in person :)
Thanks again for all the videos and work to post them, a pretty interesting selection of new gear this year.
Nick enjoyed the tour with you. Thanks for this good video. God bless you.

Walkabouts are cool, especially when done by synth royalty!😂👍👍👍👍
thanks for the walk Nick
Brilliant walkabout… lots of Brundle vibes on this one 😝
Great impressions! Thank you for the report!

GREAT NAMM Z025 SHOW TOUR ...
THANKS A LOT DEAR NICK !!!
💙⚪❤
Thanks for the tour! Cool to see all these booths back with new products
You got your foot steps in. Nice walk around. Awesome to see Amos!
love your namm coverage right on sonic state!!
In the recent Star Trek: Picard series, this building pretended to be Starfleet headquarters !
Nice coverage Nick. I was only thinking about the Jacob Brashears OB-X project recently, great to hear that his remake could be on its way
Love this!❤ thanks!
Thanks Nick, really enjoyed the tour. Looks like you could get lost in there.

great share, guys! Thank you ...cool shirt matey!😉😉👍👍
I wondered what had happened to Amos. Great to see him! 🙂
Love "no-filter" Nick. So good, especially the 1970s sandwich selection 😅
Great job Nick!
People wait in line for limp biscuit?
😅
Instead of showing only the back of Nick's head (lovely as it is), PAN AROUND a bit next time so we can see the hall as Nick points things out... 🙂
Amos!!! I love Amos! so cool
Did Nick say Stylophone? 😂😂 Great tour, really wanted this, just to feel the vibe!
Relic-6 was the Shear Electronics synth with Jacob Brashears (although he expanded it to 8 voice at last check in I think)
0:20 So Nick has changed his name to Jim...
Nice walk! A thought for those who vacuum carpet every day!
Next year, Paulee in Hall-E.
NICE!
The older Nick gets, the more British he becomes.
I didn't know the laws of physics would permit someone from England to complain about the food in LA. . .
@@russ254 I was thinking something similar..
You didn’t wander around the building and get lost for 6 hours this time?
Haha.... that was a cool vid.

18 Minutes wasn't enough sir lol you stopped the right before my favorite hall lol
14:40 there's me!!! and why is my backpack open lol
We need a NAMM SHOW in NEW YORK CITY!!!
This was the Nick "There I've Said It!" Episode
I am so happy that I don’t have to be there.❤😊
6:21 was that murdabeats that just walked pass him? 😮
Roger Linn was going to be at the LM clone booth.
muSONICS, Ou Yes Ou yes 👌🏻
Please, do a short performance/review of the BX1, Nick!
BX1 is a prototype at least a year away from retail without a working FX section yet, but there's a sounds only demo of the current state of play here th-cam.com/video/vUtcplu6KTs/w-d-xo.html
Musonics looks like the old STG. But they are 4U??
Was it really worth you going?
13:22 … Nick drifting to the right of frame, for some reason … lol …
8:00 muSonics guy is articulate and informative ...taking Nick by surprise...lol...not all of us Americans are daft
He used to be the lead engineer at Moog. Nick knows him well. Him seeming surprised was just him realizing he needs to keep the walkaround moving.
5 second interviews!
Any fascism featured at NAMM this year?
We haven't seen *ASM!* Are they there?
5:47
yeah they are there - but nothing new, unless you've not seen the orange/silver Hydrasynth colours
Dang, the rumors were out about the Leviathan, guess it was just that.. a rumor 😕@@Wagoo
yep - it has been stated that Leviasynth is a name they registered just as they thought it was a cool name.. and just incase they wanted to use it.. and they actually registered some other names too..
I'm sure they will bring out something at some point.. but yeah name registrations aren't a good indicator in their case
Spectrasonics?
Maybe go around to the acoustic piano manufacturers……
17:51
thats all from NAM… ? poor performance
Please report to the toupee booth! ASAP!
