Did zoe really live? didnt she appear inside Ethans head with daddy jack at the end. or did killing eve helped her get cured before something happened to her?
Zoe appeared inside Ethans head because she was alive, atleast that's how i understood it. Lucas wasn't there because he wasn't under eve's controll and the Mother wasn't there because she was dead. Zoe and her Dad were there because they where still under eve's controll aka alive.
Don't you kill Jack with the Serum and that's what leads up to the Choosing Zoe or Mia so going on that itd possibly mean Zoe was killed Eve or a Molded
The whole "new umbrella" thing is actually because the old Umbrella Corp is gone. Now, a mercenary group (which Chris is a part of) has taken up the name "Umbrella". They are literally the anti-umbrella.
@@massivelyscrewed177 Neo Umbrella was the pseudo-Umbrella organization in Resident Evil 6 created by Carla Radames after her betrayal by Simmons and she splits off from The Family. Blue Umbrella, as it's affectionately called, is officially just known as Umbrella Co. - they specifically wanted to use the original name so that they could try and break the stigma of the original.
You know your stuff but if interested there’s a 6pt walkthrough on TH-cam that’s pretty cool placing dlc where it should and explaining. Even to a dedicated RE fan it was a cool watch, go back through the games. Just search RE: Timeline/Lore 😎🧟♂️✌🏼
The thing with the hand. They kinda established that the medicine has properties that can heal large wounds and even chopped off limbs. If you get stopped by Jack near the door on the floor after the dinner scene, he chops off your foot and dangles the medicine in front of you. You simply put the foot against the stump and pour the medicine on it and it seals back up
It isn't the medicine that does the work though. It's the early stages of being infected; you're not really under Eveline's mind control yet, but your regenerative powers have been amped up to 11. The medicine works more as a tool of speeding up the process. The reason his hand is stabled is most likely because Zoe couldn't provide him with medicine, so she had to stable them together so the nerves could regenerate, etc.
Razhork is this a fact or somthing you just made up? because I believe your not infected, in resident evil 1-0 herbs seem to heal you even after getting scratched, or even beaten the shit out of no problem.herbs in this franchise are a really powerful medicine
Ethan sure as hell is infected :D Theres a document later in the game that describes the early stages of the infection. There is a mention of severed body parts being able to reattach and later in the process having visions of the Infector (Eveline)
Haha I just really loved the new CEO, WHAT have we been up up!? This is dreadful! Yeah, it's possible she's with that nebulous evil rival that Ada worked for
She worked for The Connections which are a crime syndicate involved in BC (Bio-Chemical) research, money laundering, murder and trafficking of weapons and drugs.
At the beginning it was all about Mia, but after a while the objective was to get out of there. Like when the cop showed up, did you saw Ethan going all like "My girl is in danger!"? No, he said: "I need to get THE FUCK OUT! NOW!".
You know, have you ever thought that at the moment, Ethan was certain that Mia was dead, so his first thought would be: "Ah, crap. I accidentally killed my wife and now I'm being dragged away by this crazy old man. And now they're forcing me to eat this crap. Jeez, I need to get out of here". I'm pretty sure he thought Mia was dead until the whole thing with Lucas.
1. The two samples you obtained for Zoe were parts of failed D-type bioweapons. Eveline is the first E-type so the serum wouldn't do much but suppress the infection. 2. Documents stated that anyone that was too far gone with the infection, would not be cured. 3. Mia was being controlled, but could still resist Evie, albeit a small bit. Zoe seems perfectly sane for someone who's been infected for so long. Now one would think it's because she has a strong resistance to Evie for no goddamn reason, but that just makes her even more suspicious. Back then, Zoe stayed in her trailer away from Evie while the Bakers were taking care of her, which explains why she wasn't as crazy as the rest of them. Although, since Eveline didn't really care about controlling Zoe, there is no hard evidence that she could have resisted Eveline's powers while Mia possibly could have helped with the serum suppressing the infection and the fact that Evie still sees Mia as a mother.
I was playing this game in the same room as my mother and i made a random remark "The little girl is the grandma." And my mother said "That doesn't make any fucking sense." Kinda sums up this game.
Lysergic SubjugantDominion my boyfriend saw that and search it up. Turn out when she was with Mia and the organisers; she was giving something to keep her in check. Without the organisers; she ages up quickly and become the grandmother✌🏻
Lysergic SubjugantDominion It's explained in the salt mine lab why she turned old... After going loose on the boat, Mia and the other guy couldn't keep up her medication obviously. This accelerated her aging process and in 3 years she had aged considerably. The times you see her as a little girl are all hallucinations caused by the mold.
*Spoiler alert!!!!** Lucas did kill someone, you are when he was younger he was teased by a kid because of his mental disability. So he tricked the kid over with the lie of a birthday party, after the kid came over he locked him in the attic. After a few years Lucas was given a new room/home and his old room was given to Zoe where she complained about a foul smell and a dark liquid dripping from the ceiling.
@@evilshrimp4521 Its actually chris redfield. Hes working for neo umbrella because the BSA asked him to. He says numerous times that he isnt fond of working for them. All of this stuff was explained in the free Not A Hero DLC.
Ok,answer why the hell anyone would pick a random chick you met for a couple hours only on the phone instead of your wife,a.k.a the main person you came there to save in the first place
@@caliqm2199 Okay so. On one hand you have your wife, how lied to you, worked for a criminal organization, didn't even do her job right, tried to kill a child (granted she was a bit insane but come on, look at how she was raised. A weapon. And even so Mia could have easily taken control of the situation simply by comforming to her desires, but instead looked at her as a monster), and basically becomes estranged and unhelpful the entire time. A person who not only caused the mess in the first place but also willingly lived with it like a dog rolling over to die. Then you have someone desperate to escape this cruel hell, who didn't ask for what she got and definitely didn't deserve it. She wanted to be free. Sure, she wanted to save her family too, but she also knew they were too far gone to help. She was helpful. She praised you, helped you, stapled your hand back onto your wrist, depended on you, made the serum, gave you all the information you needed to continue. Now you're asking "why pick a stranger over your wife". Its really all about perspective. But I believe the real choice was to save Zoe, because if you play the DLC to save her, she survives the ordeal with the efforts and help from her uncle. And it really only makes sense to see her calsify. The true choice I believe was to save Zoe because in the end, Ethan should have let Mia go in the first place. He never should have ran out there. He had no business out there. Yeah he came there to get her but in the end she caused this mess. She let Eveline go out of control and she didn't do a damn thing to take control of the situation but instead let dozens of innocent people die and it was Ethan who had to clean up her mess. Now I could also argue why Mia could have been the true choice but beyond the main story she isnt even mentioned or important. You have to somehow find it in yourself to forgive her for lying, working with a criminal organization, and telling him to forget about her for 3 years until finally he gets that note eveline made her send. Naturally, when it comes down to it, the only thing that makes Mia a choice to save is obligation because she was your wife. Life lesson fellas, never let obligation be the drive to make an important choice. Is this a good enough answer?
@@alexandriafrost9505 You make a valid point. But there are some points to your point that I don't think make a point.I don't think Mia should have conformed with Evie's desires, you think if Mia just complied with her request then everything would be fine and no one would have to get hurt? The Bakers (although not willingly) conformed and that happened, that's the kinda family Evie tried to create. As for Zoe,well she did make the serum and she does give you head for the serum, but except that I don't think she was the best sidekick.Throughout the game I was sorta like "Hey,could ya just tell me were the dog heads and keys are?Hey,I know I have to get past your mother, but could ya give me a few tips like what are her powers what should I do against her?" As I said before you make a valid point, but in my opinion Ethan should save Mia,subjectively. Objectively of course saving Mia is the best route as that saves both of them. Anyways can ya tell me what the hell was up with the Baker house?
@@caliqm2199 Maybe, but she didnt even make an effort. But because of her blatant dismissal of a child and unquestioned obedience to kill said child if anything starts going wrong, I simply cant accept that Mia is any good. But moving on! Well the issues with the Baker house is revolved completely around Eveline's powers going completely out of control. Okay you see, Eveline is this super powerful bioweapon produced before her birth and raised in a lab. And she can produce this "mutamycete" type of mold on her own which is the substance that allows her to control everyone infected. She can spew gallons upon gallons greater than her own body mass. This is the stuff you see all over the house, the mold. The process this stuff and it keeps people further under control. And then the Molded monsters were all once people or fed people, completely under Evie's control. The house is the way it is simply to enhance Evie's control. Honestly I dont even feel like this is a good enough response but I did a bit of research just to make sure I got my facts straight. It feels like the baker house is so much more mysterious but this is really just it. The house is simply her headquarters of control. And if you try to leave her without being cured, she'll kill you, plain and simple. Actually I'd like to help you see it like this. Eveline uses the mold to infect. Then continues to produce it around the house. The mold you see around the house is like a network. If you saw at the beginning the mold is primarily in the basement where you first meet your first molded enemy. But then as the game progresses, you start to see it in the upstairs lefthand hallway. Its spreading and quickly. Maybe shes getting pissed? I think so because she sends more enemies after you. I hope this helps. Anymore questions?
That would be pretty awesome. Like the new Mass Effect, I'm not a Mass Effect fan, then again I'm not a Resi fan either, but it's interesting to see what they did and did not like about a game.
Half the fun in Souls/Bloodborne games is just trying to figure out what exactly is going on. The gameplay is great, but its "figure it out" way of telling you what's happening is tremendous. So I'm with you there.
I watched a vide called, 10 dumb things you missed in resident evil 7, and he pointed out that once you defeat marguerite and go back for the lantern there is a noise and he said everyone looked up and he showed videos of people looking up, I also looked up and missed marguerite's weird long spider arm reaching over and grabbing the lantern, and that made me go "wait what"
I'm guessing you didn't play in VR mode where you can look around a lot more quickly. I had enough time to look up then look back down and see her snatch the lantern.
The whole point of "the molded", if I remember correctly, was they were trying to make the family bigger. They would be fed the same meat that Jack tries to feed Ethan in the beginning but instead of being like Jack and Marguerite they would turn into the molded monsters. It didn't work on everyone.
Idk if it's all the food but could have something to do with it. I think it's more so once you get infected and you die the mold takes over pretty much and eve can then control you and or regress r progress the molded fungus in the body which is why she sped up zoe's infection at the end. Eve turns them into molded once the mold gets to a certain progression aka when the host dies.
From what I could gather, the serum only breaks the link with Evaline, because Lucas received some of the serum from whoever developed this BOW and said that it stopped her from digging around in his head and making him act uncontrollably psychotic. Don't know if he received the serum before or after the 'Happy Birthday' tape but his bizarre behavior is pretty much just him acting like he is crazy to not raise the suspicion of Evaline. Ethan pretty much cures himself of the negative effects of the infection by killing Evaline, since that breaks the link. Also the time spent infected and under the influence of the 'head' BOW determines the cure success rate. Anyone under the influence for a short amount of time can be cured completely, anyone under influence for a significant amount of time simply dies after being 'cured' (This is what happened to Jack after he was cured with the serum) and using the serum on the head BOW itself turns it into a super creature (this information is in one of the files in the salt mine but its blacked out, you can fill in the blanks yourself after seeing what happens to Evaline)
Master Of Coincidence I don't think jack actually died see we know Marguerite died and she did not appear in the spirit talk section jack and zoe the only two people still alive or infected did fee if lucas is free from her control and Marguerite died that explains why tgey weren't there but that would mean jack is still alive
I think the simple reason for Jack being there in the dream sequence was that he's the "main antagonist" Featured heavily in all the promo materials and regularly shows up throughout the game. I really dont think there's some deeper lore reason or 'hidden secret' behind it. Marguerite, Jack, Zoe & Eveline all die the same way, by crusting up and crumbling to pieces, Jack never crumbled to pieces after the first fight, only after he was finally defeated in his super form. Marquerites lack on inclusion is either due to cut content or the team didn't think that the players would have that much of an interest in her (which thinking back to it now, I certainly didn't. She was aggressive at the start and then disappeared only to show up in the old house, she just wasn't around long enough for players to have a vested interest in her or learn more about her) Also you need to keep in mind that Zoe could be dead or alive when that cutscene happens so it doesn't really provide any insight as to whether or not jack is dead. It seems to me that most people that are pushing the "he's not dead" theory are just people who really liked his character and what him to appear again somehow.
Who would not pick your wife over some lady who you have known less then a day and know nothing about! also before you are like "she helped you" she actually made you do everything just so she can be saved because she knew Ethan was trying to save his wife... easy catch.
Noctis Lucis Caelum Not really, she never created Eveline she looked after her and it was her co-workers fault Eveline was released if you have seen the Mia segment.
when did that happen? ... he could have taken both chicks (given, there's a huge risk he would be killed if one was "possessed" or whatever and went crazy)
@@polymerclayfigure Mias infection was her own damn fault for working for a shady organization that makes bioweapons. she was the bad guy. besides, the fact that she was possessed doesnt make the trauma from the Baker house incident any less painful. She must be like a walking talking PTSD for Ethan.
jackoblllllllll It obviously wasn’t her intention to harm Ethan when she decided to work for them, and she probably didn’t realize that she’d end up being possessed either. Obviously Ethan isn’t going to be able to ‘just move on’ from that incident but he most likely acknowledges that Mia is innocent and didn’t want to hurt him.
still a knife. I mean, you never really get to see the knife mia's holding up close unless if you get stabbed, we never really know whether it's a kitchen knife or a combat knife.
Mia is working for an bio-terrorist organisation and you see her using weapons in the flashback so she's clearly trained. Ethan is potentially also working for somebody but we don't have much to back this up just yet.
Eveline is a fungus bioweapon. The phyllums of Fungi include; Basidiomycetes, whose hyphae grow so densely that they form larger colonies called Mushrooms, Zygomycota which use their hyphae of have (almost) sex, Chytridiomycota which produce sperm like spores that can swim, and Ascomycota which divid into identical buds, much like budding yeast (Saccheromyces cerevisiae) which is the producer of Ethyl alcohol for Beer, but also (Ophiocordyceps unilateralis) a parasitic fungi that uses ants as hosts. It can release hormones and other chemicals into the ants convincing the ants to climb to the top of the trees while the fungi feeds off of the rest of the ant. When they reach the top of the trees the fungi makes them hand from a leaf so that the fungi can release its spores. When infected the brain of the ant swells, understandably the ants become very agitated and often aggressive attacking and eating other ants on the way to their inevitable death, whence the infects reaches its climax. My girlfriend believes Eveline may be either composed of multiple fungi species that have all adapted to attack nervous systems like O. unilateralis or simply a mutated species similar to O. unilateralis, but more symbiotic (aware that it needs the host to survive). In RE 7 The behaviors of the "hosts" (ha pun)-- They become very hungry all the time and are eating what the Fungal species can digest, not what they themselves can eat. They become very violent and irritable, often lashing out. They continue with this erradic behavior feeding the fungus until the infection becomes too strong. When the human host is completely infected they "lose their minds" as if the fungus has taken complete control in order to survive. Thus the host is "immortal" because even if the human does die, the fungus will still have the body. The mutations would take place at the point when the fungus is maturing at a high rate and able to grow beyond the host, still using the hosts' muscles for support. This is when it is too late for the cure. For when the fungi dies all that is left is what they haven't digested. This is just a theory.
Michael Wood a lot of lets players miss this part because they rush through that first section really good so like most ppl dont actually know the true limits of anything herb related in the Resident Evil series
Michael Wood My leg got cut off near the end of the game in the mines. Freaked me out because I thought I had died but then saw my foot and saw I was able to grab it.
That's not rushing, it's just good instinct to grab the hatch key, lose/hide from Jack, and escape. Also in *no other* _Resident Evil_ were you dismembered, able to reattach that limb, and use an herb or first-aid spray to be just fine. In the past, dismemberment was always the death animation followed by *"YOU DIED"*.
in Resident Evil 5 there is a document you can find that is essentially a hit list of the top ranking members of Umbrella that knew Umbrella's B.O.W. research, everyone on that list is either confirmed or assumed dead, one of the names on that list is Ethan Winters, the MCs name in RE7 is Ethan Winters
also it has been established in atleast 1 past game (Revelations) that Umbrella's properties ended up being sold off after its collapse, for instance in Revelations its the 3 Cruise Liners, so it isnt inconcievable to think that the Bakers could've bought the house either from Umbrella themselves or from the bank when they went under
I can't remember which one, due to not actually playing the game for a while but there are streams and videos on youtube that go in depth into re lore and history that includes finding and reading every document in the games
did you read all of it or just skim it, because i said *it isnt inconcievable to think that the Bakers could've bought the house either from Umbrella themselves or from the bank when they went under* which seeing as they renovated it before Umbrella went under it means they probably bought it from Umbrella themselves, you see the theory included them buying from ewither Umbrella or the bank so the problem you have isn't actually there...
I always thought the reason they made mold people was due to Eveline projecting her idealized version of a family, warm and receptive... ofcourse they're lunatics because of her influence, but that explains why they always initially try to feed you. Why they invite you to their table. Why there are signs of humanity in their dialogue rather than just flatout killing you or strapping you to a table to be molded.
The notes found in the mine are clearly pointing the fact that Eveline forced the Bakers to kidnapp people and infect them so they could join her growing family. What's more, she seems to like some people more than others, that's why some are killed, some become molded (last phase of the virus evolution) and some are like Jack and Marguerite (Intermediate phase) !
I actually saved Zoe on my first playthrough and it was a complete waste. After they leave and Eveline tosses the boat, you wake up as Mia and I'm like "how'd she get out here?" Basically you're not supposed to save Zoe.
On point 4 they are missing out on a completely obvious fact about the juices: 1. It draws away from the fact that Ethan is infected because theres a "hidden" attack scene that you can trigger in the near beginning of the game, When your being chased by Jack baker with the shovel, if you head into the room where the locked trapdoor is, he will knock you down and chop your right leg off, then he will move to the wall ethan is looking at and set down one of the miracle drug spills and says: Come on ethan! You can do it. | In a creepy ish tone. Then you are forced to pick up your own leg, crawl painfully to the drug and grab it, meanwhile Jack watches you suffer as you hold your leg in place and pour the liquid into the severed cut and then push the cut off leg back against your body, causing it to fuse back together as good as new. I think we shouldn't be looking at the fact Ethan is possibly infected, but more in the fact of what in the name of primus is in those miracle bottles owo;
My thoughts exactly. They've had Green Herbs and First Aid Sprays as a common item, either found like weeds or bought from the pharmacy, for almost 2 decades, so it should be understandable that there's been advancements in medicine since then, but not only does he seem clueless about first aid bottles, he also seems clueless that the world he lives in has had scary shit like zombies and Bio-Weapons for almost 20 years now. In modern day America, almost everyone has a gun and a first aid kit somewhere in their house. In a world with Zombies and monsters, it'd be even more common. So why the hell did Ethan, who knows he lives in a world of monsters, not take even a knife with him when he went to the spooky house in the middle of nowhere. Think after all that, we just have to accept that RE7 is not perfect, not every plot hole leads to a game theory, some of them just lead to the "oh, they just got lazy and fucked up" realisation
I'm willing to bet my life that that isn't Chris. Capcom always does this stuff. Chris would never work for Umbrella. The BSAA would be using their own logos and Helicopters. The emails Lucas was sending to Chris were from 2015. Why would he wait two years to come bail them out? Let alone be working with Lucas. That's a classic Umbrella "Sit back and watch the experiment" thing. Not only that, the Albert-01 was clearly inspired by Albert Wesker, it even looks like the handgun that Wesker uses in RE5. Chris was born in 1973, and that's such a drastic difference in a design that's been fairly consistent in previous titles. That's Umbrella doing it's sneaky stuff. Ethan knows they're on their way because he hears them on the radio near the end of the game. That's too much circumstantial evidence. No idea who it is, though.
Jack Baylis finally someone that doesn't make huge dumb theory's in the comments. I swear these comments are giving me headaches. Thank you. And yes, Umbrella back to their shady shit.
Blaze Ferno in re5 i believe there was a document with a list of people that knew of the umbrella BOW research that ar confirmed or assumed dead: one of the people on that list is ethan winters re7 mc is ethan winters
I thought, in my opinion, that Ethan was always infected but, was immune to the virus, a carrier if you will, and the hallucinations possibly had something to do with damage taken throughout the game’s story which has made him become severely weakened and fatigued, hence the hallucinations
The first-aid solution is supposed to basically be magic. If Jack takes you down with the spade early on, he cuts off your leg, then lets you reattach it yourself with a bottle of first-aid so he can play with you longer.
When Ethan needs to remember a map, with his own brain, rather than snap a photo on a smart phone [which he apparently has the entire game, based on the ending?] magic seems more plausible than nanobots. Chem fluid is nano-runes.
I really thought this only happened to me, the first time I played he didn't cut my leg off but I played again and got stuck and had the craziest wtf moment ever
Evidence for the theory that Ethan worked for Umbrella or a rival company is that he is supposedly keeping secrets. In the chainsaw fight Mia asks Ethan what he is hiding.
when somebody is infected and they’re too far gone the infection is in every cell of your body and when the serum is introduced it makes your cells calcify
also I think with the moment with the same Jack Baker once the body died there was nothing for Eveline to physically control but due to the hive mind their consciousness lives on with Eveline beyond the control of her fungus.
The Apocalypse has happened... that was back in '98 and this is all after the Uroboros outbreak on the ship... which could explain all the tar like substance they call 'mold'
Feels like I'm one of the few people that went with Zoe the very first time. And tbh it was for purely pragmatic reasons. Judging by Marguerites letters it sounded like Eveline was already with Mia when they met the Bakers (which was later confirmed) and Mia had shown clear signs of being infected with whatever everyone else had when she cut off my hand. So if Jack was "so far gone" that the serum killed him instead of healing him and Mia was most likely given Evelines "gift" before Jack received it, then I felt like it would only make sense that the serum would kill her as well. Sure, she looked sane, but she was the only one that seemed to be able to switch in and out of her insane murder-persona so her seeming sane at that moment wouldn't have meant anything in regards to the progression of her infection. While I didn't know Zoe I at least knew that Jack was the guy that found Evie so Zoe must have been infected at the earliest around the time Jack was but most likely a while after him which realistically gave her the better odds of surviving the serum-treatment. My bad for treating the supposed virus like it's actually a virus and not some magical mumbo-jumbo that doesn't follow any rules xD
No. I agree. I didn't go too anal about it, but I thought something along those lines. And, to be honest, I thought that was the choice straight for the bad end, and I tend to do bad endings first so I can savor the good endings better. I'm also a big softie, so I spent like 5 minutes alternating between looking at Zoe and Mia. I just couldn't decide at first because on the one hand, Zoe had helped you get through the Bakers' lands and even made a serum for Mia as well as hers (which was her actual objective)... although I guess it wasn't too much trouble, but she could've just ask Ethan to throw her the serums and make a run for it with Miaor alone, which she didn't. And on the other hand, Mia is your wife, so there's that. I ultimately chose Mia, but I reloaded and went for Zoe for the reasons stated on the first paragraph.
For the whole "why is the Baker house so crazy?" question I would chalk that up to their son, Lucas, if anything. I mean I think it's just supposed to be a nod to the Spencer mansion but if you really want to try to rationalize it, Lucas was an inventor and a pretty intelligent person who happened to be a sociopath. It's possible that he was performing experiments and stuff in the basement (there is a dissection room) and then incinerating the corpses. The only reason I would suggest that is because it's revealed that he's in contact with another company (Tentsu? Umbrella? HCF? who knows) so he might have been doing research for them. Doesn't explain all the weird doors and keys and everything but I think we're just supposed to do the ole "willing suspension of disbelief" thing.
yeah, idk much at all about this lore but it seemed like lucas was actually trying to work with the whole evie plan compared to the rest of the bakers who seem like victims to it (except zoe wtf she doin) but to me its why lucas escaped while the rest of the fam died. but if you pick mia at the end i wonder if zoe dies or escapes as well ?? idk.
Ammy Marie I think it's possible that Zoe is still alive depending on your interpretation of "there were no survivors found." Either means she escaped or died there. But to clear some stuff up for you about Zoe, she was in direct contact with Mia and stayed far away from Evie and her family to prevent succumbing to the virus faster. That's the only reason she isn't like the rest of the Bakers
Zoe is alive, she succumbed to the Virus, it didn't really turn her to something like her mother, she was only frozen like a white Crystal, then her uncle, Joe saved her life, then she's back to normal, Umbrella found her and saved her life because of Ethan
I was surprised you didn't cover the scene where you play as mia. When you go into her past story, it covers alot about what she was doing, what happened and what happened in the ship. If you play the other small content that gets unlocked after finishing the game, you can open even more information about the backstory. Its very interesting and I didn't want to tell too much. Most likely someone has already talked about this information but just in case no one has, I kindly ask you guys to check it out to answer some of your questions :)
Wolfangel23 Ethan can win all the arguments with mia now for the rest of his days mia :you forget aware anniversary Ethan : you know what I didn't for get you cutting off my hand
Wolfangel23 mia : you stab me in a neck with a axe! Ethan: you stab my hand with a knife a screwdriver and don't forget you lied to me disappear for 3 year's and when I found you you put me in my worse night ever !!!!! mia :I was infected Ethan : Mia don't even start me on that!!!!!
Wolfangel23 I like the thought of Mia standing and Screaming in her psycho mode "you picked her over me?!" And ethan just raising his left hand and pointing to the chainsaw cut without saying anything, just standing there with the "are you fucking kiddin' me?!"-expression.
On the boat i found a magazine talking about raccoon city and how the survivors are recovering so what i think is umbrella was under new management and their trying to undo everything helping people and try to be more of a peace keeping organisation and rescuing the survivors and pretty much saving everyone
RE 4 tells us that Umbrella went to hell after the truth came out, Leon narrates that before you start playing, in the next installments and movies Umbrella is no longer a thing, Tricell took the spotlight and then Neo Umbrella became a thing, but they were by far a corporation, they were more like a terrorist organization developing and selling BOW's, this new Umbrella is a "WTF is this?" kinda thing.
Also on your map there's a room called "Granny's room" or something, and everyone assumes it's grandma's room too I mean... she's got her false teeth in it. But why would that room even exist if grandma isn't even part of their family???
There was once an actual family grandmother. When you're in the "Happy Birthday" room, you see the old family picture on those television monitors. The photo is of Lucas' birthday party when he and Zoe were just little kids. In that picture, on the far left, you see an old woman sitting in a chair, smiling at the camera. This obviously is not Evelyn, since the photo was from when Lucas and Zoe were children. So, the family once had the actual family grandmother living with them. I'm assuming she passed away since the photo was taken.
-Could be Marguerite's mom (Zoe and Lucas' grandmother) since it's her family's old house if I remember correctly -Or could be Eveline's imaginary grandmother (Marguerite)
@@bigboss4178 I don't think Marguerite was ever Eveline's "grandmother". She was more of a replacement mother when Mia made it clear she wasn't interested.
Looking back it's crazy how accurate you guys were about the Lucas stuff, basically all your theories about future DLC including Redfield and the locked door were spot on!
Something I noticed, but I don't know if anyone else did, is that Ethan's injured hand steadily heals itself during the game. Like, shortly after it's reattached, there's a scab there from where Mia impaled it with the screwdriver. However, later, the scab is gone. The hand also subtly changes colors, I think, as the game progresses.
Inhaled Corn the color change thing is correct. Playing through twice I noticed after the dinner thing it's more pale and lifeless. Then around the time you get to the trailer it's got a greenish tint. Then later just before Jack V2 boss fight it's a little more flesh looking and obviously at the end it's pretty much back to normal. And of course the whole thing about the impaled palm thing would heal as the juice stuff heals deep cuts pretty fast so a large hole wouldn't take much. And I'm playing through a third time while watching this. And I think you can fully heal your hand right off the bat after it being impaled by just spamming all your heals. So I think it's designed to be more aesthetic.
ethan is also infected so the longer he spends infected the better the healing factor gets. so he probably dosent need the stapples by the end of the game
Ethan is 100% infected no doubt, he got captured by evie and there's no way she didn't infect him. However it might not matter anymore now that she's dead, there's no one to control him anymore.
Evie could be living inside of Ethan, like a virus. He never did get a serum, and Umbrella is hauling him off in a chopper to a undisclosed location.... maybe the next game is them trying to extract evie and then shit goes bad again.

Ecap There's actually a little bit in the game where you read that what they feed.you infects you and because Ethan refused to eat the thing at the start and they never got a chance to force feed him it as the cop came then you decide to run away you don't get infected
@@taylorbrown7426 I prefer using the secrets/essence when playing madhouse. It apparently magically made my rump a bit sturdier when Jack came to slap me with his shovel.
You guys seem to forget that the healing juice managed to re-attach your leg when Jack cut it off IF that happened to you. So no, you weren't infected in order to re-attach your arm.
false the medic just accelerates the cell regrowth the infection does that on its own it just takes longer the only reason ethan is able reattach his hand and leg is because hes infected
The juice immediately heals the hole in your hand from blocking the Machete. And when your legs gets cut off, you put the 2 parts together, and pour the juice on it, and it reattaches it. The juice promotes rapid cell regeneration, which means that the cells heal the 2 parts back together. Plus, when you're infected, you see the little girl. But Ethan sees her as the grandma until after the boat incident. So he gets infect on the boat. Before then he didn't eat the 'food', so he wasn't infected.
I thought it was Lucas, too, until I watched it again and payed attention to what they were saying. There are many references to it being Jack, not Lucas: - "I'm getting tired of this, Jack!" --Ethan - "First you take my new daughter from me, then you conspire with my own flesh and blood [...]" --Big-Eye Monster - "Daddy's coming!" --Zoe, just before BEM busts into the room.
I don't regret saving Zoe. Didn't like Mia. Rubbed me the wrong way and seemed like their marriage was screwed? And Zoe saved Ethan. But then Zoe ended up dying, so that really sucked.
Poor Ethan he was super happy just got news his presumed dead wife was alive asking him to come get her he gets there his wife cuts his arm of with a chainsaw then he goes through hell and back escapes with Mia starts to live a normal life then boom Chris comes back years later and shoots Mia in the head five times making the entire seventh game pointless
Herbert Sidik With Chris, I believe this game was set before even Resident Evil 0. I believe this fungal infection was a test before the T-Virus. I believe this game was a way to reboot the series.
Courtney Crewse It may or may not be true, but I had the same feeling. Or it had, at least, passed my mind that this game could be a sort of prequel to all of the events. But idk.
The reattachment of the hand doesn't mean you're infected. Some people will miss it, but Ethan can also get his right leg hacked off at the shin. Near the start, right after the dinner scene, if you try and unlock and open the hatch with Daddy too close he will grab you and chop off you foot. Then he will walk to the other side of the room and set down a heavy first aid kit. You pick up your leg (it actually goes in your inventory) and crawl over to the kit, using it to reconnect your leg. My take was that Ethan gets infect when he is taken into the ship.
PRoX2010 I know this is old but I actually think he gets infected way beforehand. When your infected you start seeing hallucinations of Eveline's younger self. So I think it's sometime before you grab the D series Arm. I've even heard it could be near the very start when Jack force feeds you the guts.
@@choppermuscle6358 when mia sewed his hand back on the (first aid) or possibly something she used for it is what infects him. Could also be when he first makes contact with mia since she has the infection in her. At the table granny aka eve was sitting next to you.
The only thing I never understood, was why Zoe was so pissy with you and Jack. She understood that Jack was innocent, n regardless of if you cure her or not, she acts the same, so that made absolutely no fucking sense to me
The game states specifically, that the earliest signs of infection is seeing visions of Eveline, meaning that Ethan was infected sometime before obtaining the first ingredient for the Serum. (As that is when he first sees her) But considering how the infection works, then I think it needs Eveline in order to fully mature. It is a fungus, so it might turn others who she doesn't want to control into "Molded". That being said though, Ethan might still be infected but the fungus is dormant within him. (Could be a future plot point.) As for his severed arm. If you fail to escape Jack at the start of the game when he comes looking for you by the dinner table, he can cut off your leg as well. When he does so he toys with you, and gives you some "Medical Goo" which he informs will help you. You use said glue to reattach the severed leg and it works just as fine as before. Hence stitching the arm on shouldn't even be needed, but we know that the "goo" can reattach severed limbs. As for Mia. It is made rather clear that Eveline doesn't want to control Mia. She wants Mia to decide to be a family on her own, and tries to show her that. The only time Mia is taken control over is when that idea is threaten by a outside source. In this case Ethan who has come to take her away from Eveline. The moment Mia tells Eveline that she doesn't want to be a family, all cards are off. But the problem is that Mia is already cured at this point if you follow the good ending. If you don't then Mia loses control and is killed. During the vision with Jack Backer, the only two to appear (if I remember correctly) is Zoe and Jack Backer. At the time, Zoe is the only Baker you didn't "beat" in some sense and she was a lot more sane than the rest. Jack on the other hand is the only one you "cured" out of them if you went by the "good" ending. That may have caused Eveline to lose some control over him, while him still being a part of the said "hive mind". Zoe is still part of the "hive mind" but isn't in direct control, so she also appears. Lucas is probably still roaming about and is under control, therefore he doesn't appear and Margarita is already dead and gone.
I'm pretty convinced that you are actually working for the bad guys. Mia works for the company that made and took care of Eveline and it seems like so did Zoe given how much she seems to know about the situation. I like this theory because I can write off Redfield as "Imposter Chris" because he looks bizarre and is no longer voiced by Roger Craig Smith.
He looks a bit like Young Chris, in a world where Buff Chris is still around. After the "two Adas" plot point in RE6, the mind races with possibilities... _gloriously dumb_ possibilities.
Geez man, with this game, how can we be sure that Umbrella (or some competitor to Umbrella that Mia may have worked with) are the bad guys? Game's got a lot of weird shit to it, who knows, after all, they do change RE games every 3 installments, so maybe they're going with an alternate universe in these games? No idea
"If I go evil again, I don't want to be caught without a knife." You two crack me up. Just finished playing it, and that was a spot-on analysis, thanks. Also saved me from bothering to play it again with saving Zoe.
To the Ethan point... The healing juice IS that good. In the early part of the game, just after the dinner, if Jack catches you before you make it down the hatch, he cuts off your leg with that spade of his. And then you use the healing juice to completely reattach it, the staples might only be necessary because it was so much later that your hand was reattached. Not to say that I don't think Ethan isn't infected by the end of the game, but just that that particular point IS made if you happen to get caught.
Nah I don't think that's because the healing juice is so good. I think Ethan is just surprised that his leg is OK again and that the juice worked, but I think it only worked because he's obviously infected. How could he not be? If he's not at the beginning, he's certainly at the end after Eveline envelops him in mold, which is known to infect people. Mia gets infected that way on the ship.
Yep you gotta pretty much provoke this shit to happen, and even then it doesn't always happen. I actually had to try 7 times or so until it finally happened.
I think Zoe's death was from the vaccine. I'm guessing she was so infected by the mold at this point that it had the same effect it had on Jack and Evie. Maybe Evie gave the family some degree of protecting from her mold, since that was what she wanted, and when she withdrew that well...
Thanks. I also think Evie rejected Jack because she was obsessed with having Mia as her mother. I think she used Ethan as a bribe of sorts, a last ditch effort to make Mia play along, which backfired, badly.
yeah, i think this too, because note mia or marguerites death to becoming molded, they lack that almost melted look if you know what im going for, meanwhile both jack and zoe kinda get this odd extra effect right before they mold up and die.
Good point. I have a few theories. One is that since MIa was one of the people who created Evie maybe she was given some sort of proto-vaccine that gave her some immunity to her powers. Or simply being around her for so long made her resistant to the mold. Or it could be that since Evie was really hung up on making Mia her 'mommy' she held back on both Mia and Evan. Not using her full strength on them.
No-one seems to know that the "first aid" stuff can reattach limbs, proved if Jack catches you after he breaks through the wall. He cuts off your leg, gives you first aid, and you reattach your leg
About the Wonder Drug Goop Juice. In the beginning when you're first being stalked by Jack. If he catches you enough he'll actually cut your leg off. After that he actually stops and laughs at you, handing you the "Stronger" medicine with which you reattach your leg to the wonderment of Ethan! It's a crucial plot detail regarding the juice stuff and I'm surprised it's so easily missed. If you wanna see for yourself you can check part 1 of Jacksepticeye's play through around the 53min mark
The medicine isn't the cause of his regeneration, but rather a means of speeding up the process. Ethan is absolutely in the earliest stage of being infected, which is having regenerative powers, but not quite under the mind control of Eveline yet. The process of the infection is pretty nicely shown throughout the game. Suddenly half way through the game you start seeing Eveline in the old house, when you first get the D-arm. At the end of the game you're going batshit crazy with hallucinations everywhere just prior to killing off Eveline for good.
Just so you're aware, it's NOT Eveline that kills Zoe, she just THINKS it is. Zoe is infected and too far gone, so the minute you infect her she's actually dead -- and then freezes on the boat thinking it's Eveline.
Well to me what doesn't make sense is when you read the file, it clearly states the window for administration of the cure has to rather quick other wise it just kills the host. So if Mia arrived with Evie at the same time wouldn't that mean Mia herself is to far gone for the treatment to work? She was gone for what, 2-3 years? So to me either one you pick would result in death. IDK, maybe iam wrong but that's what I kind of read into the story.
Yes, but Eveline needed her alive, so probably made sure that Mia didn't go crazy pyscho bonkers -- see, in the bad ending, for example. The moment Eveline doesn't need Mia is when Mia throws you out of the room and she's possessed and she goes off the deep end.Mia was saved, because Eveline saw her as "Mommy".
tbh I kinda just assumed that the "redfield" that is with umbrella was like, chris's son or something, since raccoon city takes place in the 90's and this is 2017. chris would be a LOT older than that.
There's a rumor going around that Lucas worked with the company the made eveline. I mean the baker house is connected to the salt mine laboratory that they were transferring her to, so that might explain the weird locks and the morgue
urmomrox117 I don't remember exactly, but in my playthrough, I remember reading a thing about Lucas working for a company that I believe was the old umbrella corp. mia also said at one point that competing companies would try to take evaline. I assume that Lucas actually planned on evaline appearing, and he cured himself so that he can oversee her.
+Shannon Swiggart He haven't cured himself, an unidentified B.O.W manufacturer (also known as third party) sent to him a cure that allowed to stop mold at early stage - so he could keep his regenerating abilities, but prevent Eveline from controlling his mind. Evie haven't spotted any difference at all, (as it says in e-mail in the salt mine "You haven't only made that thing look like kid, it's stupid as one"). In exchange, he spied on his "family".
Amazing video. Loved your guys' opinion and how funny and positive your podcast was. One thing I would say is that Eveline was having people kidnapped from different parts of Louisiana due to her wanting to expand her family. This is referring to the notes in the room before you encounter the first molded and in the morgue.
There is a third party in Resident Evil 6. Ada was working for them if I recall. Also Alyssa Ashcroft is alive from Outbreak. Which makes Outbreak canon or makes RE7 from the outbreak universe.
@@catfish64115 do you really think the dispatcher will believe a man telling them that he’s in a secluded house with an unkillable man, a bug lady and a psychopath
@@Dctctx Well, to put it simply. no. But he could’ve said he was kidnapped by a bunch of psychos and boom. Police are on the way. Or, if he did say ...what you said, 911 would still have to come, you do realize that 911 will come no matter how crazy, stupid, or disturbing as it may be.
Now that I think about it, it makes more sence to mean Lucas. If it was a paper that Lucas was tracking their status it would probably have more than one "L" on it.
On your point about Ethan, it seems the game actually jokes about the first aid meds itself. If you let Jack Baker catch you as you enter the trapdoor at the beginning, he'll cut your foot off and force you to crawl to a bottle he places on the ground. Ethan then proceeds to pick up his foot and hold it up to the remainder of his leg, and then pours the first aid med all over it. Ethan then bewilderedly takes a few steps on his reattached leg. Jack then proceeds to rage in the corner of the room, giving you long enough to escape through the hatch.
The First Aid actually can reattach limbs. If you are not able to get undetected to trapdoor at the beginning of the game when Jack hunts you, he cuts off one of your feet. Only to give you the First Aid Juice which then reattaches the cut off foot to the leg without any repurcussions. So it is possible that because of that his hand is functioning. The stables were probably put there, so that the hand can be reattached properly.
RhyXion how do you get it to happen during the chain saw fight? Got my ass handed to me but only got cut in two and violently killed. No limbs being cut off and torture with the medicine for me.
To clarify some of the stuff mentione (everything I've gotten from the wiki): The group Chris is a member of is called Blue Umbrella and is either a clean up subsidiary of umbrella or a seperate company, either way Blue Umbrella deals with fixing bio weapon outbreaks and stuff. Mia is an Agent for the Connections(a secret organization), and her and another agent pretend to be Eveline's parents and are vacationing on the storage ship, Anabelle. But in reality Evaline is being escorted to a Connections lab. Eveline is a bio weapon made by the Connections by introducing a fungus during the Embryonic stage. This leads to her having the ability to control the mind of anyone who comes into contact with her. Eveline then spends her entire life being tested on by the Connections in a secret lab. The Connections was particularly interested in her because unlike the other viruses amd mutants they had made, Evaline was capable of ending a war without any blood shed, but due to their past, The Connections had to keep her secret. Also Evaline's obsession on family is believed to come from her never having one while growing up. And another thing about Evaline is that the reason why she aged so much was because of the fungus, she initially had medication to slow down her aging but list it in the hurricane. Ethan was actually infected with Evaline's fungus, which is why his arm was able to function after having to staple it back on. Anyways, when Ethan killed Evaline, the fungus in him also died making it so he was no longer infected. And Ethan was not nearly as connected to Evaline as the Bakers, which is why he doesn't become evil, and is also why he doesn't die after killing Evaline. Lucas, shortly after becoming infected by Evaline, came into contact with The Connection and was given medication that cut off his connection with Evaline. However, Lucas was still infected and the infection made him go evil, but unlike Jack and Margirite, Lucas could not be controlled. Lucas then continued to pretend to be under Evaline's controll in order to help The Connections research Evaline. But Lucas eventually went rogue and mad with power. And after Evaline's death, Lucas was still alive with the infection but is then killed by Chris Redfield. Lucas also sent all of his research to an unknown client before his death but Chris stops the Emails from sending. (All off this part is speculation made by me): And I guess the reason that Margirite isn't in that vision thing that Ethan has is that she isn't dead because Margirite was killed by Ethan which wouldn't permanently kill her, only the vaccine and Eveline could. And as we know Jack and Zoe bother died in those ways, but Margirite was shot to death.
We could of taken a shoelace, and tied it down, or shoved something in the way so when we let go, the door couldn't close, but the real reason is the same reason we have to look for the spade key and the diamond key when we have a pump action shotgun, a rocket launcher and a grenade launcher. Because screw logic, this is Resident Evil. Though considering how spooky that whole part was (the spider arm creeping out to grab her lantern, the boss battle, the dark rooms leading in, the ghost girl, the spooky graffiti, the dark enemy filled rooms leading out) I would of been perfectly fine with saying sorry to Mia and Zoe, finding a car and getting the hell out of there. Leave that shit to Chris and his team of Umbrella badasses (to be honest, I get the feeling even if we never showed up, Chris would of showed up pretty soon anyway n saved the day, the only difference would of been maybe Zoe died, but I can't imagine Chris' team would of had any trouble subduing her peacefully and capturing her. Hell, with their cures, I bet it would of been a hell of a lot easier. I bet they could of just had tranq rifles full of cure n shot the Baker family before they were even a threat. Either 1 shot killing them or curing them. Literally their only issue would of been the molded and Eveline herself)
I know old video but, I think you're expecting too much consistent and logical behavior from a bio weapon with the mind of a child, and people basically driven insane by her influence.
Because of Zoe knowing everything that was going on, I assumed she was the grandma in the wheelchair for a long time. Which then made finding her bra in the trailer hilarious to me
The weird question I have is who was he on the phone with when he was driving up in his car? That might be able to tell us who Ethan really is if we got that answer. It also poses the question of where the heck did his cellphone go?
I think Lucas sent the email as there is a part when we see his laptop and he's claiming to have all these hacker skills, so theoretically he could have hacked Mia's email. Not sure what his reasoning would be to do it though
Choose Mia - both live
Chose Zoe - both die
Hard decision...
Songbird If you want them both to live, choose Mia. I don't have the game but that's what I would do.
this may be late but which is cannon tho
Don't you kill Jack with the Serum and that's what leads up to the Choosing Zoe or Mia so going on that itd possibly mean Zoe was killed Eve or a Molded
The whole "new umbrella" thing is actually because the old Umbrella Corp is gone. Now, a mercenary group (which Chris is a part of) has taken up the name "Umbrella". They are literally the anti-umbrella.
It's known as neo umbrella aka blue umbrella
@@massivelyscrewed177 Neo Umbrella was the pseudo-Umbrella organization in Resident Evil 6 created by Carla Radames after her betrayal by Simmons and she splits off from The Family.

@@drumsno Yo guys, how did u know that?
The entire point of the Game is to save Mia, if you saved Zoe, why the hell did you go through all that in the first place? :/

+Mano770 I mean... he did believe that Jack was dead the first two times.
Basically saving Zoe is pointless
EXACTLY
Hunter Kuchan yup
Yes, and people would know that if they noticed the subtle hints.
can you elaborate please? I'd like to know the list :D

Lysergic SubjugantDominion Your mother seems cool
Lysergic SubjugantDominion It's explained in the salt mine lab why she turned old...
After going loose on the boat, Mia and the other guy couldn't keep up her medication obviously. This accelerated her aging process and in 3 years she had aged considerably.
The times you see her as a little girl are all hallucinations caused by the mold.

As for Zoe,well she did make the serum and she does give you head for the serum, but except that I don't think she was the best sidekick.Throughout the game I was sorta like "Hey,could ya just tell me were the dog heads and keys are?Hey,I know I have to get past your mother, but could ya give me a few tips like what are her powers what should I do against her?"
As I said before you make a valid point, but in my opinion Ethan should save Mia,subjectively.

Maybe, but she didnt even make an effort.
@@alexandriafrost9505 No I didn't mean the mold,I meant why are there so many secret entrances and weird places like a morgue and a slaughterhouse?
You guys should have more videos like this, Just talking about your opinions in games for half an hour
I completely agree, doesnt even have to be games
That would be pretty awesome. Like the new Mass Effect, I'm not a Mass Effect fan, then again I'm not a Resi fan either, but it's interesting to see what they did and did not like about a game.
would love some bloodborne/souls discussion
Half the fun in Souls/Bloodborne games is just trying to figure out what exactly is going on. The gameplay is great, but its "figure it out" way of telling you what's happening is tremendous. So I'm with you there.

I watched a vide called, 10 dumb things you missed in resident evil 7, and he pointed out that once you defeat marguerite and go back for the lantern there is a noise and he said everyone looked up and he showed videos of people looking up, I also looked up and missed marguerite's weird long spider arm reaching over and grabbing the lantern, and that made me go "wait what"
Yes, im wach that video too :) First time when I play RE7 i looked up too xD
I was looking in the hole 😄
I'm guessing you didn't play in VR mode where you can look around a lot more quickly. I had enough time to look up then look back down and see her snatch the lantern.
I looked in the hole and I was like how are you still alive guess I’ll defeat her again
Huh thats funny i saw it when i first played through the game but i still found it pretty creepy though
well. old timers remember when phones were things called land lines. so if yoh call that number ALL the phones rang.

ahh tru
they aren't even like, cell phones you're picking up aha. and the whole house is outdated. still wanna know how zoe knew what you were doing
Lucas A. Lucas *did* have cameras set up!
You found his room where he watched you after the birthday puzzle
Right, but that still doesn't explain the timing.
yes, there was a room in the house that looked like a security room with monitors..
Eve turns them into molded once the mold gets to a certain progression aka when the host dies.
i thought the put people in bathtubs with barbed wire over the top and poured stuff over them
From what I could gather, the serum only breaks the link with Evaline, because Lucas received some of the serum from whoever developed this BOW and said that it stopped her from digging around in his head and making him act uncontrollably psychotic.
She was aggressive at the start and then disappeared only to show up in the old house, she just wasn't around long enough for players to have a vested interest in her or learn more about her)
Also you need to keep in mind that Zoe could be dead or alive when that cutscene happens so it doesn't really provide any insight as to whether or not jack is dead. It seems to me that most people that are pushing the "he's not dead" theory are just people who really liked his character and what him to appear again somehow.
Who would not pick your wife over some lady who you have known less then a day and know nothing about! also before you are like "she helped you" she actually made you do everything just so she can be saved because she knew Ethan was trying to save his wife... easy catch.

What about lucas
Eveline is a fungus bioweapon. The phyllums of Fungi include;
Basidiomycetes, whose hyphae grow so densely that they form larger colonies called Mushrooms,
Zygomycota which use their hyphae of have (almost) sex,
Chytridiomycota which produce sperm like spores that can swim, and
Ascomycota which divid into identical buds, much like budding yeast (Saccheromyces cerevisiae) which is the producer of Ethyl alcohol for Beer, but also
(Ophiocordyceps unilateralis) a parasitic fungi that uses ants as hosts.
In RE 7
The behaviors of the "hosts" (ha pun)-- They become very hungry all the time and are eating what the Fungal species can digest, not what they themselves can eat.
This is my girlfriend's theory in her own words.
Dope
If you get caught by jack at the beginning he cuts off your leg and gives you the first aid thing and you put your leg back on.
Michael Wood
a lot of lets players miss this part because they rush through that first section really good so like most ppl dont actually know the true limits of anything herb related in the Resident Evil series
Michael Wood
to waste it.
I think it also depends where you are caught I was caught by the ox door and he just beat me to death
This video hits differently after Village
in Resident Evil 5 there is a document you can find that is essentially a hit list of the top ranking members of Umbrella that knew Umbrella's B.O.W. research, everyone on that list is either confirmed or assumed dead, one of the names on that list is Ethan Winters, the MCs name in RE7 is Ethan Winters
also it has been established in atleast 1 past game (Revelations) that Umbrella's properties ended up being sold off after its collapse, for instance in Revelations its the 3 Cruise Liners, so it isnt inconcievable to think that the Bakers could've bought the house either from Umbrella themselves or from the bank when they went under
Vyperus69 Which mission?
I can't remember which one, due to not actually playing the game for a while but there are streams and videos on youtube that go in depth into re lore and history that includes finding and reading every document in the games
The problem with that theory is that the Bakers renovated the house before Umbrella collapsed.
did you read all of it or just skim it, because i said *it isnt inconcievable to think that the Bakers could've bought the house either from Umbrella themselves or from the bank when they went under*
which seeing as they renovated it before Umbrella went under it means they probably bought it from Umbrella themselves, you see the theory included them buying from ewither Umbrella or the bank so the problem you have isn't actually there...
On point 4 they are missing out on a completely obvious fact about the juices: 1. It draws away from the fact that Ethan is infected because theres a "hidden" attack scene that you can trigger in the near beginning of the game, When your being chased by Jack baker with the shovel, if you head into the room where the locked trapdoor is, he will knock you down and chop your right leg off, then he will move to the wall ethan is looking at and set down one of the miracle drug spills and says: Come on ethan! You can do it. | In a creepy ish tone. Then you are forced to pick up your own leg, crawl painfully to the drug and grab it, meanwhile Jack watches you suffer as you hold your leg in place and pour the liquid into the severed cut and then push the cut off leg back against your body, causing it to fuse back together as good as new. I think we shouldn't be looking at the fact Ethan is possibly infected, but more in the fact of what in the name of primus is in those miracle bottles owo;
Both of you guys should read the description of the cure bottle.
..............congrats you predicted the ending of re8
Thank you. And yes, Umbrella back to their shady shit.
i do my best lol
Isn't umbrella different than the umbrella corps?
nah
It's not the umbrella that caused the raccoon city incident. Chris now works for the umbrella corp's, a mercenary anti bio weapon task force.
if Ethan is an untrained civilian, how dose he know how to repair two different types of firearm?
instruction manual? lol idk
Blaze Ferno I imagine those repair kits come with instructions on how to fix up the guns.
It would have to be very specific because a 1911 fundamentally functions differently than a breach open shotgun.
Blaze Ferno in re5 i believe there was a document with a list of people that knew of the umbrella BOW research that ar confirmed or assumed dead: one of the people on that list is ethan winters re7 mc is ethan winters
***** its one of Spencer papers was one of the scientists killed by Wesker its in Spencer mansion idk I haven't play that much RE5

Yep, magic.

Why does evil Mia say "What are you hiding, Ethan?" in the chainsaw fight? Think about that.

Evidence for the theory that Ethan worked for Umbrella or a rival company is that he is supposedly keeping secrets. In the chainsaw fight Mia asks Ethan what he is hiding.
ClawOfFate these theories and games make my brain hury why cant things be black and white like they used to lol XD
thank you c:
Or MIa suspect that Ethan is cheating on her with another woman
when somebody is infected and they’re too far gone the infection is in every cell of your body and when the serum is introduced it makes your cells calcify
i fully expect there to be a secret ending where Zoe is like the dog from Silent Hill 2
also umbrella became neo-umbrella in RE6 so maybe blue umbrella is an entirely different group
also I think with the moment with the same Jack Baker once the body died there was nothing for Eveline to physically control but due to the hive mind their consciousness lives on with Eveline beyond the control of her fungus.
Brett h or maybe this game set in a timeline before the zombie apocalypse
The Apocalypse has happened... that was back in '98 and this is all after the Uroboros outbreak on the ship... which could explain all the tar like substance they call 'mold'
Urmay the mold altogether is a fungus given the progenitor virus.
LaBerengenaAtomica you need to edit this comment
Why?
Edit (lol): I do see some typos as well as errors in my grammar and orthography here and there, but I don't see why otherwise.
I picked Zoe. She helped me through the game where Mia tried to kill me all game. Fuck Mia
Technically, Eveline wasn't a virus. She was a fungus.
Sir Spookington wasn't the order for the shadow locks made by Jack Baker though?
Jason O my mind is a meme and a lie refering to this
Zoe is alive, she succumbed to the Virus, it didn't really turn her to something like her mother, she was only frozen like a white Crystal, then her uncle, Joe saved her life, then she's back to normal, Umbrella found her and saved her life because of Ethan
The real wait what moment, would be how Ethan's shirt stays fairly white throughout all the bs he went through
I was surprised you didn't cover the scene where you play as mia. When you go into her past story, it covers alot about what she was doing, what happened and what happened in the ship. If you play the other small content that gets unlocked after finishing the game, you can open even more information about the backstory. Its very interesting and I didn't want to tell too much. Most likely someone has already talked about this information but just in case no one has, I kindly ask you guys to check it out to answer some of your questions :)
um how about the fact the old lady ended up being the little girl??
Miranda Myers thats plot twist not wait what moment
THQ 07 It sure as hell made me say "wait, what?" I'm still confused as to what tf that is about and why/how tf it happened.
Miranda Myers that's not a wtf, it's all explained.
She is degenerating w/o the serum thingy, so she appears to be an old woman
Maybe if you took the time to read those documents in that certain room in the mines area it would clear that up for you.
I like how Mia gets mad but all you really have to do is point to your hand
Wolfangel23 Ethan can win all the arguments with mia now for the rest of his days
mia :you forget aware anniversary

Ethan : Mia don't even start me on that!!!!!
John Handzlik Ethan: Did I get a happy greeting? No. You came up to me and said Knife to meet you babe
Wolfangel23 I like the thought of Mia standing and Screaming in her psycho mode "you picked her over me?!" And ethan just raising his left hand and pointing to the chainsaw cut without saying anything, just standing there with the "are you fucking kiddin' me?!"-expression.
Note: Ethan does actually fully reattach his leg with First Aid if Jack chops it off at the beginning of the game.
Very familiar scenes in RE8 🤣
Umbrella versus XxUmbrellaxX
TheUmbrella27
BallisticBacon1 Who's TheUmbrella27?
Umbrella tried to take over the world but this one corporation keeps kicking their ass
then who the hell is Umbr3ll@69420?
Tentsu is the corporation responsible for Evelyn. I believe they are a threat to Umbrella.
Also on your map there's a room called "Granny's room" or something, and everyone assumes it's grandma's room too I mean... she's got her false teeth in it. But why would that room even exist if grandma isn't even part of their family???
It's Marguerite's room. She's the "granny" in Eveline's family with Mia as the "mommy".
-Could be Marguerite's mom (Zoe and Lucas' grandmother) since it's her family's old house if I remember correctly
-Or could be Eveline's imaginary grandmother (Marguerite)
@@bigboss4178 I don't think Marguerite was ever Eveline's "grandmother". She was more of a replacement mother when Mia made it clear she wasn't interested.
@@adamgarris7224 aye, that's why I chose that as my second, less plausible theory lmao. But it probably is Marguerite deceased mother's room
Looking back it's crazy how accurate you guys were about the Lucas stuff, basically all your theories about future DLC including Redfield and the locked door were spot on!
in RE6, the original Umbrella Corp. was dissolved. This new one with Chris could be a new version created by those who wanted to make umbrella better
Another thing too is that Evelin could be making Jack want to kill you to see who is the one that can protect the family the best?
The new umbrella was renamed as blue umbrella and instead of a pharmaceutical company, it’s an anti-bioterrorism organization
Probably the first aid shit, the first aid does kind of have parts of what they call "The Mold" if i remember correctly
ethan is also infected so the longer he spends infected the better the healing factor gets. so he probably dosent need the stapples by the end of the game
Ethan is 100% infected no doubt, he got captured by evie and there's no way she didn't infect him. However it might not matter anymore now that she's dead, there's no one to control him anymore.
Also he sees evie hallucinations which are supposed to be first signs of infection.
Evie could be living inside of Ethan, like a virus. He never did get a serum, and Umbrella is hauling him off in a chopper to a undisclosed location.... maybe the next game is them trying to extract evie and then shit goes bad again.

Wet Basement that could be cool
Ecap There's actually a little bit in the game where you read that what they feed.you infects you and because Ethan refused to eat the thing at the start and they never got a chance to force feed him it as the cop came then you decide to run away you don't get infected
Playing as Chris was so satisfying after playing as Ethan's weak ass the whole game lol
he was surprisingly strong, did you forget to guard frequently? even on madhouse you can take quite a beating if you guard it
@@taylorbrown7426 I prefer using the secrets/essence when playing madhouse. It apparently magically made my rump a bit sturdier when Jack came to slap me with his shovel.
@@gravelrun4028 never used em, ethan could still eat so many mouthfuls of dirt and not die
You guys seem to forget that the healing juice managed to re-attach your leg when Jack cut it off IF that happened to you. So no, you weren't infected in order to re-attach your arm.
Dormammu i think that the first aid juice only work if you are infected
Dormammu I've come to bargain
false the medic just accelerates the cell regrowth the infection does that on its own it just takes longer the only reason ethan is able reattach his hand and leg is because hes infected
Dormammu I have come to bargain
The juice immediately heals the hole in your hand from blocking the Machete. And when your legs gets cut off, you put the 2 parts together, and pour the juice on it, and it reattaches it. The juice promotes rapid cell regeneration, which means that the cells heal the 2 parts back together. Plus, when you're infected, you see the little girl. But Ethan sees her as the grandma until after the boat incident. So he gets infect on the boat. Before then he didn't eat the 'food', so he wasn't infected.
I thought Lucas was that big multiple-eyed monster which was also the cause of serum shortage.
The multiple-eyed monster is Jack.
Oh. 3 times a charm eh?
Wait, what? must kill him 3 times?
Yeah, like "It's dead now. No! it's not!"
I thought it was Lucas, too, until I watched it again and payed attention to what they were saying. There are many references to it being Jack, not Lucas:
- "I'm getting tired of this, Jack!" --Ethan
- "First you take my new daughter from me, then you conspire with my own flesh and blood [...]" --Big-Eye Monster
- "Daddy's coming!" --Zoe, just before BEM busts into the room.
Not really. You Kill Saddler once.
Soooo...Saving Zoe is just...wrong decision?
It's pointless. Either choice is pointless.
In other words is call the "Bad ending"
Maybe Bebi if u choose mia its considered the good ending
I don't regret saving Zoe. Didn't like Mia. Rubbed me the wrong way and seemed like their marriage was screwed? And Zoe saved Ethan. But then Zoe ended up dying, so that really sucked.
In the new DLC Zoe must die your her family member and she gets saved and Ethan sends Chris to get them out.
You guys forgot that Mia helped in THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOWEAPONS
Isaiah Milde she and Alan still caused her to be loose and get Ethan on adventure thing in the first place
Am I the only who thinks that after Wesker died, Chris somehow took over Umbrella and revamped it.. making it "great again"?
Herbert Sidik maybe, after 6 he might have decided to restart umbrella
Herbert Sidik With Chris, I believe this game was set before even Resident Evil 0. I believe this fungal infection was a test before the T-Virus. I believe this game was a way to reboot the series.
Courtney Crewse It may or may not be true, but I had the same feeling. Or it had, at least, passed my mind that this game could be a sort of prequel to all of the events. But idk.
That's what that new umbrella logo made me think
there's a newspaper article that says the people of raccoon city are still suffering 16 years later you can find.
Ah, good old RE. Every choice is wrong...
Shockwave 2
xD ikr
“Mia has never been unfriendly to you”
Um she cut Ethan’s hand off with a chainsaw so...
When she was possessed!
she went penis to skull on one death animation that's not the actions of a loving wife
She was possessed she had no control over what she was doing
@@DrDremur If you look closely he spits it out
@@choppermuscle6358 when mia sewed his hand back on the (first aid) or possibly something she used for it is what infects him. Could also be when he first makes contact with mia since she has the infection in her. At the table granny aka eve was sitting next to you.
I think it does tho r atleast indicated you are infected.
Welp now we know what the truth is haha
E-Series = Ethan Series :D
t series 2
Oh shit
My theory about the lucid dream that Ethan has is that Margaret does appear in the dream, but as the lamp that's in the middle of the table.
hahahah
Cloud Gaming oh yea
I love this sort of semi-podcast format for a video. The lists are great and all, but I'd love to see some more content like this.
Well..... by the end of the sequel to this game, most of these questions are answered.
I love that they explain the secret behind Ethan's resilience. I really thought it was just a very strong case of plot armor
There are people online who think "Redfield" is actually Hunk
In the credits, at the end, says "Chris Redfield"
It's may not be the real Chris, but its not Hunk I'm almost positive
He looks a bit like Young Chris, in a world where Buff Chris is still around. After the "two Adas" plot point in RE6, the mind races with possibilities... _gloriously dumb_ possibilities.
Geez man, with this game, how can we be sure that Umbrella (or some competitor to Umbrella that Mia may have worked with) are the bad guys? Game's got a lot of weird shit to it, who knows, after all, they do change RE games every 3 installments, so maybe they're going with an alternate universe in these games? No idea
2:25 Could you imagine having a phone ringing in your ear as you're trying to beat a boss?
Actually, why isn't this a thing?
"If I go evil again, I don't want to be caught without a knife."
You two crack me up.
Yeah, and Ethan is even like "What the fuck?" funnily lampshading the game's logic
Yea that never happened to me because Jack never caught me. I'm awesome like that.
Yep you gotta pretty much provoke this shit to happen, and even then it doesn't always happen. I actually had to try 7 times or so until it finally happened.
iWillWakeYouUp nah I'm just that awesome.
I think Zoe's death was from the vaccine. I'm guessing she was so infected by the mold at this point that it had the same effect it had on Jack and Evie. Maybe Evie gave the family some degree of protecting from her mold, since that was what she wanted, and when she withdrew that well...
iczer6 ooooooo good theory!!!! I've never thought of that!!!
Thanks. I also think Evie rejected Jack because she was obsessed with having Mia as her mother. I think she used Ethan as a bribe of sorts, a last ditch effort to make Mia play along, which backfired, badly.
yeah, i think this too, because note mia or marguerites death to becoming molded, they lack that almost melted look if you know what im going for, meanwhile both jack and zoe kinda get this odd extra effect right before they mold up and die.
then what about Mia, she was missing for a few years.
"How does she know where in the house I am? I was imagining her in some sort of control panel..."
Literally anyone who calls you in Prey
PREY makes more sense considering the ending of PREY
Jamestopboy but why didn't she act like rest of baker's because if I remember its to late for you if you are acting insane all the time
Jamestopboy but wasn't mia infected longer?
Well to me what doesn't make sense is when you read the file, it clearly states the window for administration of the cure has to rather quick other wise it just kills the host. So if Mia arrived with Evie at the same time wouldn't that mean Mia herself is to far gone for the treatment to work? She was gone for what, 2-3 years? So to me either one you pick would result in death. IDK, maybe iam wrong but that's what I kind of read into the story.
Because she wasn't living in the house. She was infected, but not in Eveline's constant presence; she was outside.
Technically Chirs would be 44 years old, seeing he was born in 1973. Maybe he just aged well.
maybe, I was just assuming.
My guess was it's Hank using Chris's name because he's got a reputation for being in the BSAA.
RickWitha W I'm pretty sure it's " Hunk "
Michael Rain whoops really need to double check anytime I comment with my phone.
It's good they left Lucas for the DLC

Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good.

Soarin Skys outbreak has always been canon and they confirmed evry single game that was previously canon is still canon

The "L" next to Clancy name means Loser.
Play the "happy birthday" tape in game
+josh grove We have. Isn't it much more likely to mean Lucas, though?
Now that I think about it, it makes more sence to mean Lucas. If it was a paper that Lucas was tracking their status it would probably have more than one "L" on it.
josh grove I thought the "L" meant lost because Lucas took Clancy without the baker's knowledge.
Peace Walker. he said that because in the happy birthday tape the clown manniken wrote loser on his arm
I got my leg cut by molded
To clarify some of the stuff mentione (everything I've gotten from the wiki):
The group Chris is a member of is called Blue Umbrella and is either a clean up subsidiary of umbrella or a seperate company, either way Blue Umbrella deals with fixing bio weapon outbreaks and stuff.
(All off this part is speculation made by me):
And I guess the reason that Margirite isn't in that vision thing that Ethan has is that she isn't dead because Margirite was killed by Ethan which wouldn't permanently kill her, only the vaccine and Eveline could. And as we know Jack and Zoe bother died in those ways, but Margirite was shot to death.
Jack was killed by getting is face fucking crushed
I wondered why Ethan couldn't just pull down on the lantern-scale just enough to trigger the door lock
stuffums I believe it would hardly be that perfectly balanced and; When he enters, what else could hold it? You would be trapped
Leave that shit to Chris and his team of Umbrella badasses
(to be honest, I get the feeling even if we never showed up, Chris would of showed up pretty soon anyway n saved the day, the only difference would of been maybe Zoe died, but I can't imagine Chris' team would of had any trouble subduing her peacefully and capturing her. Hell, with their cures, I bet it would of been a hell of a lot easier. I bet they could of just had tranq rifles full of cure n shot the Baker family before they were even a threat. Either 1 shot killing them or curing them. Literally their only issue would of been the molded and Eveline herself)
Considering how badly the Umbrella troops perform in the DLCs; maybe not. I guess soldiers tend to be redshirts in the RE universe.
Trojianmaru it would have to be from someone else’s shoes. He doesn’t wear sneakers
I know old video but, I think you're expecting too much consistent and logical behavior from a bio weapon with the mind of a child, and people basically driven insane by her influence.
The phone calls are explained through the hive mind thing.
So umbrella going the way of Aldi's with an East and a West.
Love this long-form discussion. More of these please.
Some of these mysteries have been answered, at least partly, in DLCs thus far
To answer the email question, Mia sent the email during her flashback on the ship.
Rhiannon Gray possibly to trick ethan into going there? Like he supposedly did to a kid who used to make fun of him
Saige Kerlin poor Oliver, we never knew thee
