Thank you very much for touching this topic. Submission is stretched too far for women even beyond our household. This pay gap needs to be cut as we working just as hard if not harder as our brains are forever exhausted but always gets the shorter end of the stick.
Thank you for sharing this. Nicole, the other silent tax not being mentioned is #RepTax (new word), reproductive tax - beyond menstruation, starts menopause. The costs there are also unbelievable.
You are such a smart woman😊 I personally appreciate you for sharing your knowledge when it comes to finance. Thanks to you and your book, I'm managing my funds wisely now. Keep it up, Nicole - We see you.
I’m a REIT investor as well as a U.S. Treasury Bond investor, I’ve noticed that our diversification strategy has to be approached more consistently rather than in lump sums (like men do). For instance 10-20 shares of 3 types of REIT’s (especially if it’s publicly traded) and keeping a total of 30% of your overall investments in bonds (if using a stocks/REIT’s & bonds investment model). - This is why my net worth has remained at a full, positive number over time before the age of 35 as a black woman. Which is a major accomplishment as a black woman in America (who’s net worth is usually negative or $0).
Well done, Nicolete. This thing came a long way when men those days were head of the house. Today alot of women are single mothers, mothers of extended family's children, this system must be flipped.

Absolutely! We really need policies that make pay equitable
