It's not that it's disappointing, it's just that the originals sets the bar so high, it's a tough act to follow. In the originals, all the lines were voice acted, so I could tell the quips between Sonny and Veradux are all in good jokes. Less so in the remake.

Sadly that Sonny 3 got cancelled and the reboot version seems to be disappointing.
Now I may spit heresy here, but the reboot is actually good if you can disconnect it from the first two games.
Though, obviously nowhere near as good.
