Today a close friend of mine passed away on a motorcycle accident. I remained stoic and calm the whole day. And hearing this again after several years broke me down. I’ve taken care of patients as I was on Trauma team ( a Nurse). People have no idea what it’s like to haves 90% Survival rate ( Severe Trauma) . Boy I actually knew some of the young adults using Cellphones, drugs , and drinking and driving, even knew adults. My hearts go out to their families truly and boy after code we feel like your life has been drained , Your numb and then we cry . We ALWAYS do our absolute best ( and prayed ) before we knew when the life flight patients came in adults , young adults, children. I believe Honestly it’s about teaching when your children are young . My eldest daughter now does Trauma Team and my youngest daughter is a phlebotomist and going to be studying Nursing. Came upon an accident recently in Nevada where a SUV flipped onto the gravel of the highway. There were 5 occupants in the vehicle and thankfully all got out with only a few cuts and bruises. The highway don't care if the driver is sleepy and on a long trip on a unfamiliar road, but even total strangers do. A pickup driver, 2 big rig truckers, and 2 motorcyclists stop and provided assistance until emergency personnel could respond(it was more than 40 miles each way to help). Thank you Tim, Taylor, Keith, and others for this song and bring my thoughts back to that incident that could have turn out much more tragic but all were saved.

My brother was killed while walking back from a gas station on October 21, 2017. I’ve comment before on this song, but last summer when it came on I heard a voice so real that I looked to see who was around. The voice said “what are you doing?” It was something Heavenly. We lose people we love but we can’t dwell on the lose. We have to focus on the life they lived. I’d been trying to accept that when this song came on. It was an amazing experience. Life goes on. I mean beyond this world. But this song will be with me forever. I believe God let me brother speak to me at that moment. I knew I had to go on and stop dwelling on the lose but to hear his voice again, whether imagine or real, just changed my life. Thank you for making music. Music is a gift from God. Use it well.

In 2010 I lost my neighbor Doug to a car accident. A tire came off of a semi trailer and went through his daughters driver side window and killed him instantly and injured his daughter. I still think of him a lot because he was a big father figure for me. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry because it makes me think of Doug.

I’ve taken care of patients as I was on Trauma team ( a Nurse). People have no idea what it’s like to haves 90% Survival rate ( Severe Trauma) . Boy I actually knew some of the young adults using Cellphones, drugs , and drinking and driving, even knew adults. My hearts go out to their families truly and boy after code we feel like your life has been drained , Your numb and then we cry . We ALWAYS do our absolute best ( and prayed ) before we knew when the life flight patients came in adults , young adults, children. I believe Honestly it’s about teaching when your children are young . My eldest daughter now does Trauma Team and my youngest daughter is a phlebotomist and going to be studying Nursing. This song hit my heart ❤️ made me tearful, chills on my arms and the Words say it all . God Bless and Thank you Tim McGraw !!!

Just heard this song for the first time ever at the Tim McGraw concert last night. They played the video while he sung the song & it made me think of my niece who’s the biggest Swiftie fan. Ironically, her mom, my Bestie was killed in a car accident on Christmas Eve. 😢
Came upon an accident recently in Nevada where a SUV flipped onto the gravel of the highway. There were 5 occupants in the vehicle and thankfully all got out with only a few cuts and bruises. The highway don't care if the driver is sleepy and on a long trip on a unfamiliar road, but even total strangers do. A pickup driver, 2 big rig truckers, and 2 motorcyclists stop and provided assistance until emergency personnel could respond(it was more than 40 miles each way to help). Thank you Tim, Taylor, Keith, and others for this song and bring my thoughts back to that incident that could have turn out much more tragic but all were saved.

My brother was killed while walking back from a gas station on October 21, 2017. I’ve comment before on this song, but last summer when it came on I heard a voice so real that I looked to see who was around. The voice said “what are you doing?” It was something Heavenly. We lose people we love but we can’t dwell on the lose. We have to focus on the life they lived. I’d been trying to accept that when this song came on. It was an amazing experience. Life goes on. I mean beyond this world. But this song will be with me forever. I believe God let me brother speak to me at that moment. I knew I had to go on and stop dwelling on the lose but to hear his voice again, whether imagine or real, just changed my life. Thank you for making music. Music is a gift from God. Use it well.

I used to have a housecleaning client and after a couple years, i finally asked them, "why do you have part of a real tree cut down in your outdoor garden room?" I was expecting a funny answer in return lol. But, they said our 22 yr old daughter was driving on icy roads and hit a tree dead on. She was killed instantly. This is the tree....i couldn't help but tear up. I've never seen anything like it. It had a heart carved in the center.

In 2010 I lost my neighbor Doug to a car accident. A tire came off of a semi trailer and went through his daughters driver side window and killed him instantly and injured his daughter. I still think of him a lot because he was a big father figure for me. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry because it makes me think of Doug.
