It's interesting that Today in newspaper i saw Odisha poverty has declined. Almost 6.2 millions people are Out of poverty. Future is on making and we should keep working on it to eradicate poverty to Minimal level.
But Odisha's rank also slipped from 8th poorest state to 7th poorest state. Rajasthan which was poorer than us at 7th last time is now 10th poorest. It shows that we have improved our conditions but compared to other states we are still behind

Hey, I'm from rural Bihar and I can say in confident that poverty eradicated from my village very much like we got electricity, Internet connection, liking roads & bridge, almost all villager have bank accounts, huge support from govt. in pandemic, reduced crime rate, we have primary school, high school, women's collage in the village, water system, etc. I am very happy about the progress. Also, we got these facilities within a decade. Thanks to central govt. & little thanks to state govt..

I see a remarkable change in last 10 in my village ( from Chhattisgarh ) years. The roads are top quality (2 way ) . No one is having raw brick house everyone have pucca and toilet. Almost all household are using both LPG and Wood as fuel. All the parents are aware about education and educating thier child. Now many farmers own their Tractor. Buisness is flourishing and people are ready to spend more for quality services.
Around 30 to 49farmers have solar powered Tubewell. Amazon and Flipkart also are now delivering to home . Because of the roads we now can sell the produces in city. No power cutoff and full speed 4G internet (which is not available in cities). We have a Good Hospital at village with some basic facilities. I myself have benifitted from Ayushman card and i can say that almost everyone is using this facility. Under MUDRA scheme many poor women have taken small loans upto 50000.
UPI is accepable in almost all shops in my village. Choice centers are now Banks and Adhar card is ATM.
I am happy with the performance of recent Govt.
I am also Bihari. So as a bihari I am feeling proudly whenever heard this news. Great news for India also

Bihar urgently needs industrialization, multi national IT companies and such for our youth to get high paying work opportunities in multiple fields, and so they don't have to leave the state for high-skilled jobs present in other metropolitan states.

Poverty rate 2015-16 in my city, Amritsar used to be 7% (which is already pretty low compared to most of India).
But it has reduced by more than half and is now at 3%.
I am proud to see that every part of India is growing, even a small city like mine.
Amritsar is not Small! It is a metro city with 2 million population. Hoshiarpur and Nawashahr have only 1.5 percent poverty now. Which is great to see and its visible.

@@BasedIndianChad actually the poverty rate in Amritsar for Punjab standards was high. Now it is below the average. We Punjabis need to work on the economy to bring the poverty below 1 percent! It is possible.
But the bad thing is. In Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Ropar, Bathinda and Faridkot, the poverty has slightly risen, because of bihari migrants made their hits and jhuggis on empty spaces. We need to do something about those people.

If development started in both states the labour cost will increase and available labour will start demonding more money also start stoping industries. I believe NDA is harmful for National Development. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav has done great job to protect Industry by keeping both states poor and unemployed.
my family income has increase 25-30 times than before. coming from a farmer family in the most backward village where there was no electricity and road till 2018. it was tough to survive back then but now things are good. we had 1-2 bikes in whole village but now almost every household have 1-2 bikes and good house in village. even though mostly are farmers and skilled worker.

I live in mumbai but my parents are from UP they told me there was no concept of doing job back then you have to go to big city like mumbai or delhi to do job but now up has changed my uncle shifted from mumbai to up to do job, i hope demographics will change in future😊

Sir I live in a village where 90% of people have BPL card but more than 50% people have motorcycle, tractor, and all modern facilities include few having cars. Therefore I think most of Indian poverty is highly exaggerated.

If you criticise government on everything then you should have the guts to applaud them on good things as well. It's a commendable job done by government, all different government schemes like jan-dhan,Har Ghar jal, one nation one ration,PM awas Yojana and many other state government schemes helped into achieve this.
It's a great news!Hopefully entire India beats poverty.
