Feb 2011: These are Baby Parrotlets; 5 weeks old. They can fly, but are not yet mature. They are being hand raised, and I will keep them up until at least 8 weeks before adopting them out, making sure they are able to eat solid food on their own.
They will sit nicely because they are from the same clutch and like to huddle together, especially for warmth. As the grow older each one will develop its own personality, maybe aggressive, maybe not. It can depend on how much time you spend with them.
Please research the type of parrot species before you plan on getting one. Parrotlets typically live anywhere from 10-20 years. They mature at a year old, and can become very territorial.

Hi Natalie, remember when birds are like this they are afraid. It's very common in many birds even if they have been handraised. Just be patient & go very slow with trying to gain his trust. Even just sitting next to the cage with him is a start, and then putting your hand by the door with a treat & not doing anything else. You go step by step until he's ok with it. At the very least I think you'll be able to have him step up on your finger. Have a lot of millet on hand; budgies love it

I wonder how all of these babies are doing. They're probably all approaching the end of their average natural lifespans by now. Hopefully the love and care they're receiving has given them at least 10 more years of life...

One time a saw two sun conures at a pet store, their bond was so strong when i took one home, it did not stop crying for the other one. I had to return it to its friend; they were both relieved. If only i could afford them both.
This video had us running to get our first parrotlets in 2013. The whole extended family rushed to buy theirs after they saw how cute they were. Thank you for this. My kids grew up with birds and made memories with them

I used to breed and raise Pacific parrotletts 30 years ago, and they are little stinkers! So much attitude! That long ago, no one knew much about them in my area and I had a hard time selling them, believe it or not. How times change...

If I had all of them ... it would be so hard to let go but I will have to if I have too many to take care of. Mama Joanne will have a handful if she kept all of them. She already has Bowie, Paimei, Smokey and Koolaid until she gave Booboo and Hazel together to a lady name Krista, I think.
