After testing Himi, Holbein, Horadam, and Daniel Smith, it's time to test Mijello Mission Titanium Class Gouache! In this video, I explore its opacity, layering, color mixing, and even its watercolor-like effects-yes, they claim it's a hybrid between gouache and watercolor!
I'll create swatches, test their performance on black lines, and experiment with creamy and watery consistencies to see if they live up to the hype. I'll also share my honest thoughts on its strengths and weaknesses and how it compares to other gouache brands.

Thankfully, we have DaVinci gouache as an option here. Large tubes, fair price, professional quality and made here in California and readily available. And it's available open stock, just as an artist paint should be. Just like Mijello, it has a higher ratio of gum arabic and is more accurately called an opaque watercolor rather than gouache IMO. Since it's a different beast than "designer's " gouache, it's not for everyone, though, and it can take some time to learn how to handle it well.

Thank you for your review. I discovered gouache for myself but i heard that it doesn't make sense to invest much since it's not conserved well. For my student's work i buy the cheapest one, like i buy primary colors + white + umbra in big bottles for USD 2.75 at Hobby Lobby. Does it make sense to get something better?

Oh yes!!!! Cheap art supplies will only make your life more complicated when using them. Getting a better quality will greatly improve your experience.
