Alright people. When I said I would pay to see a movie like this I meant this trailer. This exact trailer extended into a 2 1/2 hour epic cgi film. Everything about, and in this trailer in a movie. The graphics (because this shits on any other cgi trailer or film I've ever seen), the characters like Geralt and this witch (because she foine) and the whole world of The Witcher.
Everyone keeps talking about how good this LOOKS, undeniably true, but focus on how great it SOUNDS. The Bruxa's song in the beginning and end, with the violin in the middle. Fucking incredible.

Watching this trailer just over a year ago was what finally convinced me to buy this game. 262 hours of playing later, I just finished Blood and Wine in NG+. My path is complete.
It has been a while since a game managed to get us this hyped. Everything is artistically well done and hopefully when we play this it lives up to expectations.

omg she is the vampire from blood and wine! the one that run an orphanage for blood. Her design is sooo good, the part between 0:30 and 1:00 is just godlike facial animation, what a memorable face when she look human... So this is happening after the end of the witcher 3, he come back to kill her, "times have changed".
This is the first time i see a pre-launch teaser trailer that answer questions for after the last extension of a game. CD Project really deserve respect. She even sing the song from the menu... this is proof that dlc planned way ahead of the launch can be good if the devs are not lazy scum.
At the end, I almost felt sorry for that thing.

Hollywood really needs to pay attention to the cinematic trailers they are absolutely phenomenal. If they would allow the scriptwriters and directors for these video game cinematic trailers to actually do some movie directions we could actually get a decent movie out there
Did ya'll know witcher is based upon novels released by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and published in the 90s.This scene is a depiction of an opening chapter of the first book called 'the last wish'?? Did ya? did ya?! I bet not
The opening too the first book was him dreaming he was with yennifer, after that it was him recovering from his fight with the striga which was the opening scene to the first game
I take that back, after his dream he walked into a town I believe to get the striga contract

What makes this scripted trailer so badass is that this is how contracts actually go down in the game. Everything in this world is dripping with character.
One of the best trailers I've ever seen.
I like how this trailer is fully based on actual mechanics of the game, for example the moon dust bomb or the potion that deals damage to vampires when they hurt Geralt.

Something that's been bugging me since playing the Blood and Wine DLC is that Regis expressly informs you that only a vampire can kill another vampire permanently. It's why you need his help to defeat Detlaff. It's the reason they say Witchers don't accept contracts on higher vampires. So if that's the case, then there's several vampires I defeated in Oxenfurt, Velen, and Novigrad, that are still on the loose. Not to mention all the ones you fight in Toussaint. Even assuming this only applies to higher vampires, and not the lesser vampires, then the Novigrad city coroner who turns out to be the one torturing and murdering people for blaspheming the holy fire can't be dead. This rule about vampires turns the whole game upside down for me.

The witcher 3 is an eternal game, a timeless masterpiece from history to graphics to music (I still remember the soundtrack of skellige, not to mention that of novigrad or velen, they are all masterful pieces). in this game everything is close to perfection (apart from the Combat system, which I really appreciated). I mean, I finished this game a few weeks ago (including all the dlc's) and I am constantly homesick for skellige, for Toussaint .... the witcher 3 has been an epic journey, which I will never forget.

A lot of games don't need to have movies to them, but then there are some that need a movie to it. This is definitely one of them. A new story, nothing to close the games themselves.
Vampire Concoction - Make own blood became a poison. If a vampire attack us, the blood we spill are poisoning the vampire. Making each vampire attack reflect back to themself.
Just one thing...Awesome.

Mikko Laaksoharju Even I was upset around 5 years ago for not having a PC that could run games at least at medium settings. So I saved pretty hard in 2008 and bought it. It is still running good running current gen games well. Only thing I changed is graphic card to gtx560 in early 2012 i guess.
I just love how everything in this cineamtic is canon. Moon dust followed by black blood potion to deal with vampyre = most effective in game to kill it.

i just beat this game a couple weeks ago and i have to give it a 10/10. everything about it was amazing, if you are thinking about getting this game then i definitely would, i played on PC on medium settings and i have a 1000 dollar gaming laptop and if i played any higher than that it lagged

If you haven't played Witcher 1 or 2 (like me), I think reading the Witcher books adds a lot of background and history to Witcher 3 that may have been learned in the first two games.
The books are easy and quick reading and actually portray Geralt and the other main characters in a slightly different light than in the game. That's just my opinion and I'm wondering if others think the same.
I've enjoyed Witcher 3 a great deal and was sad to see it end, but I don't want to play again in order to get a different ending. I'm satisfied with "my" ending :-)
P.S. I didn't come across this nasty maiden during my play-through. Lots of various female, floating creatures but no one that I fought in a small barn.

Interesting how this trailer seems more relevant to the Blood and Wine expansion, despite being released over year before the release of B&W
- The song sung at the beginning is part of the Blood and Wine theme
- The monster Geralt is fighting is a Bruxa, something you don't encounter until B&W
- Geralt says "Nice tune", which is something he often says when walking around the city of Beauclair in Toussaint.
-Pretty sure that's Beauclair Palace at the end too (although it appears to be winter, and B&W is clearly set during summer)

I know its not worth of effort vs what they get from selling games, but maybe they should consider making short movie series which would raise the hype, keep us on the edge from game to game and get us connected more with story. Imagine all those Skyrim books in short videos and you would see what Vampires did. Im pretty sure you would be double scared after that to go into cave and fight them.
This trailer is outstanding. 4 sure best game 2015 and one of the rare titles where entertainment and not farming until u r dead stands in the foreground.

+UkrainianGaming Well there's still a decomposed body on the ground when Geralt walks away and I would argue a decomposed head's better then no head when you go to prove you've killed your target.
No head would suggest you've not done your job IMO ;)
+Anders “Grotleren” Frøyen I think that's the best part of the trailer. Background song tells a story of how monsters are no different from people, everyone lives their life. So I'd like to believe that Geralt didn't cut off her head as a sign of respect to the creature and foe in many ways much like himself, because he saw that she had to do what vampires do just like he had to do what witchers do.
Geralt is one of the most charismatic heroes in videogame history.

I'm getting this game in the mail tomorrow. I'm really late to this but better late than never i say. I'm just finishing God Of War 2018 and damn i love this game. But i must say the witcher 3 looks amazing. Can't wait to play it. From the looks of this trailor I'm excited. And reading some of the comments on here it looks like i won't be dissapointed with this game.

I can't wait for the time when games (and by 'games' I mean actual gameplay) will look like this. I mean, it's obvious that one day games will look as realistic as possible, like live-action movies, like real life. But for me this kind of graphics would be enough.

Argyle Alligator , no there arent, there are a few kikimoras though, and in the books bruxas also transform into gigantic bats, but this was also a very nice adaptation.

Im playing this game and let me tell you the reviews arent wrong, this game is amazing. looks so real sometimes and is very complex yet not complicated... 10/10 from me.

If you remove Geralt's armor in-game you can see a bite scar on his neck suggesting that this contract happened before Geralt and Vesemir's quest to find Yennefer that's why there was no contract like this in the main game.
