Simple DC Motor Speed Controller Circuit

- In this video, you will see that we can make a DC motor speed controller with two simple parts.
The circuit of this project is very simple and consists of two parts:
- IRFZ44N MOSFET
- 10 kOhm potentiometer
Important note: To use a 12 volt motor, set the input to 12 volts and to use a 6 volt motor, set the input to 6 volts.

✅️Note: To prevent damage to the MOSFET from back EMF, connect a flyback diode with the motor.

if the source voltage drops down, e.g. on a 12vot, you have set it to 6volt, when the source becomes 10volt, will the output drop too?
When the input voltage is 12 V, the output value varies between 0 and 12 volts.
When the input voltage is 10 V, the output value varies between 0 and 10 volts, which can be increased or decreased by turning the potentiometer.

What motor did you use?
Did you put a sink for the MOSFET?

This motor draws a lot of current and you need to use a large heatsink and a fan to cool the MOSFET because if the MOSFET gets too hot it will burn. Also, this circuit should not be used for a long time for this motor.
the motor may not start if trhe pot is turned down since gate voltage is low so max current would be low

Saya menggunakan irf44n dan potensio 10k input 12 v motor rs 550..
Tegangan mentok di 9v..
Panas saat motor mulai berjalan di tegangan 3v..

Gunakan heatsink untuk mencegah MOSFET dari kepanasan.
Saya juga merekomendasikan penggunaan Thermal Pad untuk kinerja yang lebih baik.

Yes, at normal currents, the heating produced by the MOSFET is normal, and a heatsink is good.
Motors often have high inrush current so you must derate the MosFet

I know the inrush current of the motors but I don't understand your solution.
@@Skill_DIY simple. if the nominal current is 1A with an inrush current of 5A then pick a transistor that can handle more than 5A

Untuk motor 3v, inputnya harus 3v.
Tapi untuk motor 12v, inputnya harus 12v.
Tapi rangkaian ini tidak cocok untuk motor 3V.

I don't think there is much difference in using LIN or LOG potentiometer in this circuit, but it is better to use linear potentiometer.
Voltage drop 24to 9 when attach 12 v motor

You can buy parts from electronic parts stores or Amazon

By changing the parts of the project, the circuit may not work properly.
If you use a 100K potentiometer instead of a 10K it probably won't be a problem, but I don't recommend it.
