He’s confusing the meaning of attractiveness, it doesn’t mean pretty, it means desirable , He actually annoys me when he goes off on one of his park building binges
I think it’s great that you have two parts of the campus separated. That’s such a realistic thing in cities where they have different physical campuses, but both part of the same university. Nice to see that realism in your city.

But you need enough work spaces too, with ~550 work spaces available, you can never reach the required 800. Yeah, split campus areas, would be nice, if one you implement them a bit more official than using this I assume glitch or bug, like after reaching level 3 of the respective campus type, you gain access to a subsidiary administration, which can be placed in a campus area without another administation, either any of the current 3 main administations or another subsidiary administration, to mark this campus as part of this university. Reminds me, that I should do this trick in my city, to gain more students for my unis, to minimize the costs. Honestly, you should build both remaining types anyways, the faculty bonuses can be nice at times, liberal arts teaching faculty boosts the amount of student capacity for every education building, which saves me a good chunk of money, since I now need less schools, because the boosts allows higher capacities. But you could build the campuses on budget, like minimal costs, so TeaVille State is the go to uni, the faculty bonuses aren't affected by campus level or amount of students, at least according to my experience. And do not rely on the tuition fees, if for some reason the students move away, you will loose giant amounts of money, I promise you. The liberal Arts could be at Earl Grey Island, together with the promised park and the classic university with a european theme district, behind Hamilton District.
1:06 It is not a match, it is game or ballgame. Here in the States we do not use 'match' for a baseball game unless we want to burn the stadium down or light the manger on fire. Also the center fielder is play far to shallow but as we can see with runners on second and third it maybe late in the game winning run on base. :)
Next university idea! East India Trade School. They are the Pirates. They smuggle(*cough*)study tea and medicine. And their color should be indigo of course! ☕🏴☠️
A down under hello! I think the university should be where you said it would, and it could be Teaville Regional Education Yards, or TREY (pronounced 'tree' though it could still be pronounced 'tray,' like tea tray).
I think it was a neat idea to spread the university campus over different areas of the city. That is exactly what a lot of universities have in real life. And I've never seen that done in CS before.
I'm always happy to return to #TeaVille!-- it feels like my home away from home. You've conditioned me well, though, as now I'm seeing tailbacks and I want to take a look at traffic. Hugo, with his eponymous effect, is both the hero we deserve and need! Your new campus extension looks great. I love the way you work the trees around the different areas so naturally. Great work, as always, Sir Biffa!
@Biffa Plays Indie Games, when you were 200ish beautification short. It looks like you forgot to add the area you built off of your main campus. At about 8:30 mark.
The industrial zones are notorious for slow traffic due to all the trucks going in and out of the factories. Compound that with the fact that the traffic AI as it is right now, all the vehicles prefer to drive on the left-most lane. I have been making my industrial zones with one-way roads in zigzag fashion, with factories only on the right side. Thru traffic stays on the left by default, and those that need to stop would move off. There is also a one-way road at the exit that loops back to the entrance. So essentially I am making my industrial areas as giant roundabouts, or zigzag-abouts. The tricky part is that, since I only build on the right side, the roads are only 4 squares apart. If I build all the roads at once, some of the squares will align with the left side of the next section. I need to get the factories built first before adding the next section. I also make sure that the entrance and exit to the industrial areas are right-turn only. Traffic crossing each other is the cause of all traffic jams.
Yeah that idea for the university sounds amazing! I go to the University of Cambridge and that’s exactly what it’s like - the city is built around the colleges. It’s so amazing and it’s such a nice place to be, I would love to see you recreate something like that in this game!
I think that some flower "parks" around the commencement office would look nicer than all those trees, especially with the 2 parks, just following the pedestrian path. For the rest, good episode as usual :)
I encourage choosing something like the Liberal Arts assets, building it loosely with plenty of paths but very limited parking/streets. I really liked the Theme Manager mod you briefly demonstrated -- choosing building types from similar or related theme sets would complement the campus assets. Also, the policy of not wanting to look for work, but rather go to school, might be fun for the residential areas you zone close to or interspersed among the campus buildings. Thanks for all this great content.
He Biffa, again very nice video. One thing came to my mind at 1:50 : This island thingy opposite of pooplar park looks a bit dragon-shaped. Why not terra form it a bit so it looks a bite more like that and build a small park or something likes this there? Best Regards :)
I like the idea at the end there with the old style college and surrounding area. Could be called ''Old Twining Town'' since they are the oldest running tea company out there
You could use a community college, too, Biffa. In more populous US states, there are two university systems. California probably has the best known ones because they're the biggest: the University of California (UC) system and the California State University (CSU) system. Both are made up of state schools but the UC schools tend to be the more research-intensive, prestigious schools, like Berkeley, UCLA, etc. So for university number 2, you should find some open distant area to make a big sprawling school UC-type University of Teaville since you already have a dense urban Teaville State. It could be massive, with a bunch of specialty schools, a ton of dorms, etc.
I believe that soon Lord Chirpwick needs to make a return to the mountains of Teaville. Would look really nice to have the castle over viewing the city😁
That university reminds me of the University of Jyväskylä, my old alumnus. It's split over three campuses, one of them in the city center, one at one end of a lake, and the third one on the opposite side of the lake, on top of a giant hill. I got quite a lot of gains from trekking up that hill when I had lectures there in the middle of the day and then back to the other campuses!
it will be nice to have an european style buildings near the new artisian university area, maybe with some canals like Amsterdam or road gride like Barcellona. But not so big to change the modern style of the rest of the city
Hi Biffa, looked at interested at your traffic problems in your farming area. I have had the same problems and found the way to eliminate it is to put a silo and barn next to each field, and if possible have the three in a dead end road by themselves. Keep up the good work, and stay save.
Really one of those games i enjoy watching and hate playing (since it feels so empty and boring to me). So thx Biffa for another vid :-) (haven't posted anything in a while) and stay safe ! Edit: 17:22 noclip on/off for the red car :-)
You probably have built the university by now but I really like your idea with the old looking university in the middle and then building around it with the same kind of buildings.
Oh, I love the look of the liberal arts university! I like traditional and old buildings. Our university is a really old building too & our campus is an old hospital. It feels like a lot of history running through the atmosphere whenever I'm at uni.
Would love to see you expand on the earl grey islands but I also want to see you add an old brick/stone college and work on the city traffic! Anything you put out I'm going to watch, love ya biffa
Hey Biffa! Would be a good idea if around the new university area you create a “posh” residential area with big mansions that have big gardens and pools? Keep up the good work on Teaville!
Hey Beffa, I think that area you pointed out should be reserved for a full size university (vs. liberal arts college). I'm sure you find another spot for the LA collage, instead. The the schools that come with the university are LARGE so make sure you save some room for them. Great vid as always.
Agreeing with others that a direct shuttle between the main campus and the new annex would be a good idea. Students could take public transit between classes without needing to stop elsewhere.
They really should make a DLC where you build an armed forces base in the same vein as the university or factories. Depending on buildings it might be an Army, Marine, Navy or Air-Force base or all four, and they do exercises and stuff in the area or help with disasters.
You can make a college town in that open area where the entire section is like a little town just for the university students: university in the center and then shops, housing, and entertainment around
Imagine if you go to that college and you have one class on the main campus and the next in the other spot? Maybe add a train that only goes from the main campus to the 2nd campus
I'd suggest just making a big university. The current sizes are similar community College sizes. Lots of land would make a beautiful dedicated campus space vs squishing in between buildings
Biffa: It'll sort itself out on its own. Me: But the maths aren't right. That says you need 800 workers to upgrade, but the max amount of workers you can have with the buildings in place is 548.
"We'll sort the traffic there another time" is a sentence I need to say more often. I swear I get pulled in for hours and do nothing but micro traffic.
If the University buildings weren't so ginormous; my suggestion would be to have a University campus dotted along the really posh island area. Might be able to get a couple of buildings that way, though.
Agreed. Monorail should be redone now that the area is built up. Place the stations more logical in front of the campus entrance, and the Hugo Memorial Stadium and train station. Also should REALLY put a subway/monorail stop where the two lines cross so more people can get to the main road leisure area. Allow inter-city trains and buses to the sports area!
Quick question for you Biffa. Do you know of any mods that allow you to have an even smaller brush for painting districts? I have started drawing in sub districts within existing ones for things like leisure or organic/local produce but it is a pain because the smallest brush is still so big for setting up small districts.
Building an old town district, hmm. But biffa, that requires proper theme(s), no grid, trams and an old moat repurposed as water canal for all the water sport clubs and tourism, a few squares which functioned as market. The big ben clocktower would fit here. Also do combine the university and residential buildings together, very few places in the world were built as a single complex. Is there possible to get cobblestone roads, even for trams? Definitely a nice old train station will fit in there, the trainline needs expansion anyway. Ban cars but build bikepaths, custom doubledecker buses and trams should cover the transportation there. Try to build the old style french garden - everything symmetric and precise. You have the english version of open park type gardens everywhere, so build somethin different for this special location. And if you can, pls, do not use roads and paths with trees in areas where you gonna use custom forests, it just doesnt make sense to plant the tiny supermarket parking spot generic tree under the 150 year old oaks.
What about naming the Campus M.I.TEA? And I asked myself why you changed the appearence of the city? The trees used to be kind of orange and the water was really blue but now it's gone
I love the idea of doing a nice classic looking college. Bonus points if you coordinate the student housing with the general look. Oh, and this is just a random idea I just had, but... could you build a dedicated train/monorail (or subway if you prefer that) that goes all around the campus? Would that make any difference to the students trying to get around, or are they too content with walking everywhere? Just curious. Nice video, as always. :-)
You got some amazing waterfront right next to the college area! You can like so develop that. Also I am dying to see you drag some more monorail through the city. I might be a monorail fetishist I fear. O no build the next school stuff riiiiight on the undeveloped mountains?? Like, add pedestrian walkways everywhere? AND MONORAIL lol.
Suddenly I realize that if Biffa can wriggle the campus area that way, I can wriggle my industries areas that way too and now I can actually probably have the space for all the stuff for some of these things... Hmmm...
Hey Biffa, not sure if you changed it off camera but I noticed that the first outdoor study area and gym you built weren't zoned with the rest of the campus at 8:35.
Hey Biffa, have you thought about putting a high income community at the top of the mountain near your college campus satellite extension? Looks like you could build a perfect little road up to the summit.
I can't believe how much Teaville has grown. Its It's amazing city. You should be proud of yourself. Maybe one day I will build a cool city. Still practicing yet 🤗🌹❤⚘

I, for one, demand more shameless tea puns. I wish for the dadly-ist dad jokes of them all. I mean willy Wonka level ridiculous.
Old-timey college campus would be great. Go for it
Great Channel, binge Watched your episodes tonight and woke up to the music about 10:30 in what's the name of the song and the one after it?
Would love to see the university since I never used it myself, but liberal arts would also be nice!
The beach volleyball club would be beautiful on that new campus on the beach :)
Suddenly I realize that if Biffa can wriggle the campus area that way, I can wriggle my industries areas that way too and now I can actually probably have the space for all the stuff for some of these things... Hmmm...
Would a dedicated subway line from the gym area work towards the section started at 10:00 ?
Hey Biffa, not sure if you changed it off camera but I noticed that the first outdoor study area and gym you built weren't zoned with the rest of the campus at 8:35.
These aerial shots would be so much cooler if drones were never invented.
Biffa I appreciate your videos
Hey Biffa, have you thought about putting a high income community at the top of the mountain near your college campus satellite extension? Looks like you could build a perfect little road up to the summit.
I can't believe how much Teaville has grown. Its It's amazing city. You should be proud of yourself. Maybe one day I will build a cool city. Still practicing yet 🤗🌹❤⚘
Hey Biffa,
I love your series, the fix your cities and Teaville. A few days days ago I found a another channel that uploads Cities: Skylines, namely Imperatur. He builds really beautiful and does even landscaping. Maybe a look worth.
I've seen him 👍
