I just watched this video, so many years after it was recorded. 'The Villager' was the first march my brother and I were taught, in 1972, when were 10 or 11. It gave me goosebumps, both for the tune, and to see the youngsters blowing their hearts out, and it also brought a tear to my ear to remember the man who taught us to play in the Griffith Brass Band: the late Jack Shannon.
