Thanks for that. I adore Larry. I still watch F Troop frequently, owning the box set.

OMG.... what a guy Larry Storch was. Born in the Bronx where I was raised, I would have never known. And what an actor. When he talked himself into being drunk in Car 54 I was astounded. He was just talented all around. I just adored Agarn; that character was the whole show of F Troop!! But what got me was at 94 how razor-sharp his memory was. I wish I could have visited him. I would have a tape recorder, sat down at the man's feet and let him talk to his heart's content. I know Larry had tales of old Hollywood I'd sink my teeth into. I'm gonna miss you buddy. Wanted to see you go past 💯.

Thanks for posting & sharing Mr Levin. Larry Storch was & is so talented, I remember him as the only actor on F-Troop doing other character roles (cousin Agarnoff etc...). As tough as the Corporal was, his sensitive side would weep at the drop of a hat. I think my all-time favorite line was when the men were becoming disenchanted with Carpenter, he told the Captain; "the men use to call you the old man behind your back - now they call you Iron Pants behind your pants".God bless you Larry Storch, you've given me decades of laughter & joy. Thanks David, for your wonderful 3 interviews of this amazing & beautiful human being !

No wonder I love this guy! He started off as an impressionist and was great at dialects, just like me, and won talent contests, just like me. So how did he end up on radio, television and in films and I ended up in a monastery? Also, he was born and raised in the Bronx, just like my dad.

Lucille Ball gave a lot of talented people their start in show business. We also owe her a debt of gratitude for getting Start Trek on the air. She almost single-handedly sold the idea, and supported both pilots in their pitch to the networks.

brilliant... I laughed my ass off. made me think of all the other American character actor treasures. would love to have seen Vito Scotti and Larry in the same room circa 1980. Paul Lynde, Frank Gorshin... too for that matter. Imagine what that conversation would be like.

My introduction to Forest Tucker and Larry Storch was The Ghostbusters which he mentions here. It was a really cool Saturday morning show... back when they had those. I was probably 9 or 10. (Similarly, Bob Denver did one called Far Out Space Nuts.)

Larry Storch is a classic. He seems to have worked with or been involved with a lot of household names. We no longer see people that are multi-talented, now it seems like they just package a certain "look", regardless of how little talent they have. There are a lot of talented people in the world but they no longer get the chance because they don't have a certain look.....what a shame.

I believe that Larry Storch was a bit confused, because I have "The Ghost Busters" on DVDs. They were Spencer, Tracy & Kong ... however Forrest Tucker played Jake Kong, Larry Storch played Eddie Spencer & Bob Burns played Tracy the gorilla. I loved the show and I sought after it for many years for myself, I was absolutely thrilled when I had obtained the entire series.

4:25.... when I was in the Australian Army Reserves in the 1980s, we used to call ourselves the Fuckarewees... because our section used to say... "Where the Fuck Are We?"
This is the first time I used Larry Storch mention the name of the the Indian tribe.... Got it!!!

TV Networks were schizophrenic in the 1960's. They were constantly shuffling shows, and rarely gave a show a chance to gain an audience. Some of it was due to the pressure to keep sponsors happy, and some of it was due to pressure from the bean counters. It was frustrating to be a TV fan back then.

And some brilliant executive at Warner bros thought that it would cost to much to keep doing it in color since ABC went to color in 1967

All 3 very enjoyable. I'm of an age that I saw and heard a lot of his work. What a guy. But David, you really should get your sound right. Your volume is too weak as the interviewer. Sounds like you are only relying on the cam mike pointing away from you. BTW in the old original joke not fit for 60s TV the punch line is: "We're the Fugarewe?"

Hey, Morgan - you hit the nail right on the head. Originally, these interviews were done for a documentary- my voice was never going to be heard. I'm sharing them now because I think even the stuff that didn't make it is valuable. I'm currently working on using AI to redo these originals. That process is time consuming and expensive. Hoping to get more people to contribute to my Patreon account so I can devote more time to getting this right. Thanks for your comments! Thanks!
