I’ve used wet q-tips to clean glaze off my waxed areas. I also try to clean it off as soon as I can rather than waiting for the glaze to dry out completely. Also a small stiffer brush helps. Thanks for showing us your tips and tricks! Motivated to consider a project like this. 😀

    Thanks for sharing.....enjoyed the video!
Makes me appreciate that I brush on glazes and don't do too much with wax.

I've talked to some potters, that use a makeup sponge to apply the wax. Never tried it myself, but they say it's easier to control. That's always a good thing, since sometimes the wax does what it wants, and I've not found a good way to get it off a surface, if it runs somewhere you didn't want.

Hi Matthew, thanks for these videos. Do you have any videos that show the final result of these after the glaze firing?

Very good glazing video Matt!! I don't mind doing tedious work on pots. i like to pay attention
to details. I wish I could glaze some of my pots, but I don't have a gas kiln right now. Do you have any videos on kiln building or know of some information on building a medium sized high fired gas kiln?? I love all your videos, keepem coming!!

Matthew, do you clear glaze the logo? Seems like the wash might not seal the clay well enough. Old video but still good. Thanks

I'm a total newbie to your channel and to pottery making in general. I've always loved the end product and I always wanted to learn how to do it. It's mesmerizing to me to watch pots being thrown on a wheel and I can just imagine the feel of the clay in my hands. I think I'd love it. You're a wonderful instructor, thanks for sharing your talent. One quick question that is probably silly (though I really feel like if somebody wants to learn something, there are no silly questions), but why don't the tongs you use for dipping the pots into the glaze leave little dots on the pot? Perhaps you or some of your knowledgeable followers can answer this for me. Thanks!

Hi, i am on the path of learning how to make pottery for a few years now, and I can answer you this question. It is because after dipping you Take Your fingers and wipe softly over These littel dots that we're left by the toungs.
      Best wishes Nana

I hope you are getting a minimum of 50 bucks each on your mugs; you're handling your product way too many times to make any profit off them. Can you get 75$ for them ?
