was genuinely the original idea 😂 It just morphed into whatever this mess is. But I DO have another plan for a 'Taron saying brilliant things' compilation at some point because HE'S SO WELL READ and its adorable
I now need a compilation of Taron just listing books he have read and I'll put them in my ever growing list of books to buy. I'll probably buy another shelf next year
I used to read a lot. Like 2 novels a day. Then got away from it when life started being difficult. But hearing him talk about reading made it all seem so cozy and romantic again and this man genuinely got me reading again after a decade. Dudes got some kinda magical power over me. I aint complaining😜

GREAT spread of photos, and I do like the piano one very much as well! Have to say that Taron has a really delicate, beautiful nose that gives him _such_ a nice profile. Nice work on the video!

he's way more open than he is in interviews where he's tryna promote something. I forget that he's a regular person and has negative thoughts too. broke my heart. but he's really really good at the good thoughts so its okay
I had no idea who Taron was until I watched Rocketman this spring. I was blown away at his performance. From there I watched Eddie the Eagle and then the Kingsman movies etc. To hear him in all the interviews you get to see what a genuinely amazing person he is and I think that is what people fall in love with. Also as we all know he is incredibly gorgeous too! Basically he is the entire package.. ❤ ( sorry if that was a bit longwinded) lol
@@megstsauveur6881 no yeah I fully understand! I think Eddie The Eagle is my favorite of his movies tbh. I was around during kingsman but Eddie is the one that got me
Nice video, I'm intrigued as to where you got a lot of the photos. Some of them look like the kind of thing hat would have been taken years ago, laughed at and stuffed in a drawer somewhere. The kind of photo you find years later and wonder what on earth you were doing 😂
those are the ones I LIVE for finding of very attractive people tbh :P I have a habit of doing a REAL deep dive on image searches and coming out with some of the most cringey ones I can find. There were actually even more. I just didn't have enough audio to use them all. Pinterest is a good place to start looking though because you can zero in on his baby face and more shows up.

I swear I replied to this before but it's not showing up. So if this pops up twice, ignore it. The podcasts are Movies With Ali Plumb, Distraction Pieces with Scroobius Pip, and Happy Sad Confused with Josh Horowitz. They're all free on Apple podcasts and probably all the other podcast places too. Distraction Pieces is from after lockdown so is relatively new. It's also way deeper than the others and broke my heart in a few places so be warned. He had nothing to promote and wasn't as guarded as he normally is. Still all worth listening to though.
Thanks! I actually listened to the Distraction Pieces today and it was crazy to hear all of that stuff especially about Kingsman and honestly it really was heart breaking.
god, haruki murakami is the worst, I think he just said that to sound sophisticated or something because murakami books are the most misogynistic, male posturing, ego centered books I've ever read. I can't imagine anybody actually enjoying them. they haven't been made into movies for a reason lol.
I dunno man... he brings up murakami a lot. I think he's read a few of them? There are a few more little snippets from interviews I found after I made this where he talks about him. Idk I haven't gotten around to reading them yet so I have no opinion. But I think Taron seems to really dig the existential and introspective kinda stuff 🤷🏼♀️ .... my degree was centered in Medieval Lit so this ain't my forte😜
I've read Murakami. They have good parts and bad parts. In my opinion (as a woman), Murakami isn't actually... that bad. His descriptions of women are more than occasionally grotesque, but he does have some pretty interesting ideas for his female characters. I can see why someone would enjoy them, TBH, even if you don't. I think he's no more worse than the average male author. I've certainly read so much more horrible misogyny in other books; Murakami just happens to be famous. In some ways, Murakami is... and I hate to say this... kind of better than the average male author. I mean, at least I've noticed that he does put some *thought* into writing his women. Basically, we all have problematic faves, and I don't know why Murakami should be considered one of the worst ever or someone whose work you can't enjoy. Plenty of people still read Stephen King, and that guy wrote a child orgy.
@@iringgasayaw4200 yeah of course, everybody is free to like what they like and have their opinions. i don't see Tarons choice of reading material as problematic, I think it's funny that he brought that up as something to turn into a film tho, cuz that's honestly the LAST thing I would choose hahaha. i know there are a couple murakami films already but nobody's really heard of them. murakami writes women the same way all men do IMO and Japan has a very misogynistic culture. I also just have a very low bullshit tolerance for male authors LOL. now, Nahoko (also a japanese author) wrote a 12 vol. series Moribito which was turned into an anime and a live action series. I think it would do amazing as a feature film, like a harry potter, lord of the rings kind of thing because there's so much material and it's really good. just, please for the love of dog anybody but murakami...
@@miauomiauo if I ever stumble back across them, I'll make sure to put them in a playlist and send them your way. He's never said anything deeper than just that he's read them in though. Just throwaway sentences of 'I've read/am reading such and such' I only know he's mentioned more than Kafka On The Shore because I'd never heard of murakami at all before and I recognize a few of the other titles now since Tarons mentioned them. But I'm "researching" for another video so I've seen about three thousand and 700 other obscure interviews and clips and junk he's done and there's no chance ima be able to remember which one he mentions a specific author. But I promise to be vigilant and remember to save any more I find for you🌸

This is lovely, I read so much as well. I love how many they counted him saying "read"
Im sure there's even more instances that I just forgot to add. Boy reads a lot🤷🏼♀️

Hahahaha YES! That must be it

Agreed! He's got a jaw like a Lego and a nose like Peter Pan and the effect is GORGEOUS. Man could model for a Greek statue and I'd call it art.
