i've watched about 250 of these reaction videos to this song and i keep on sharing this idea ...
this song being open verse should become the longest song ever written with the most contributing artists
and i think if we crown our king this is where Elvis's should be passed because he demonstrates the example of a true and fair leader each of his subjects gets to lead through the openness of his example..
and it comes to us at a time when we have the least support and have to join together and rise up to bring a change to a world that must pull together or were lost .. and we are at the biggest disadvantage we've ever had .. but this is the time and that's what we have to do.. so we will. what makes this song special it's not just speaking on one element.. relationships, addiction, social pressure, emotional obligation, and the desire to persevere.

Thanks to the three beautiful souls for taking the time to listen to a song that speaks the words that millions of us are too uncomfortable in speaking. It would be wonderful to hear all of your perspectives on the topics at hand in more depth. It's why we are here and choosing to spend our precious time listening.

Dax flew them all in and everything for the video. His song dear alcohol has a mega remix, most of them are on that, lol it's like 18 minutes long or something though, but definitely a powerful song, could name many more but dear alcohol is like his biggest, also just an amazing song like this

I can’t watch this song without crying.
Quite a few people in this world just think that men are strong and therefore we don’t have feelings.
We do and our feelings are deep.
We are taught to push them down.
Sometimes the dam gets broken and it just comes out…
Sadly when that happens most people don’t listen to us and just tell us to suck it up. That’s when self deletion happens in me( that’s the TH-cam safe way to say that).

There are a tonne of amazing Dax songs, but I truly think if you are to react to them, you need to listen to the message of the song and analyse that, not just how it sounds. This song still makes me well up everytime, even after countless listens. All of these artists are absolutely pouring their hearts and emotions out to raise awareness to their message, the fact that it’s sounds spectacular is an added bonus!!!

It nice that you guys appreciate the song, but I think as a reaction channel you would do better with songs like this to talk about the big issues the lyrics are talking about. Most of the guys in this talk about contemplating suicide, the guy who said I don't know why I need to ask for help if you were struggling I would have helped you, and the general feelings of not being appreciated as we try to take care of our families. Dax and all these artists are really giving you an inside look at the general male psyche and you can use that to fix or strengthen your relationships with your husbands, fathers, brothers, etc.

I was about to shit on them as well, but noticed they had already reacted to the original song and checked that one out first. They do at least discuss the actual subject of the song and acknowledge his point. No, intelligently articulating a thought is not their strong suit. But they did at least say, "I never thought about it before, but he's right". That's as in depth as they get though. Easy to say this is a reaction channel I will avoid.

I couldn’t agree more. Dax’s songs, especially over the past couple of years truly deserve to be appreciated for the lyrics and message more than the way they sound. Obviously, all of his stuff sounds amazing but the messages deserve the focus of the listener

For those of you who dont know how the Mega Mix came to be and to answer Grandma's question. It was Dax himself that came up with the idea. As a promotion for his original version of the song, Dax held a "Verse Challenge" on Tik-Tok where he posted the melody/lead-up and the public would duet back their verse. Hundreds of submissions. Dax reviewed them all and shared his favorites back on his Tik-Tok channel. After a month, he picked his top favorites, called those artists and got them all together to shoot the video to get what you just watched. This isn't the first time he has done this for one of his songs and hopefully not the last.

Just a bit of background on the song….
Dax had an “Open Verse Competition.” Dax had the first verse done, and invited viewers to submit a tape of their verse(s). It went over so well, that there’s actually a video an hour long …“To Be a Man, Mega Mega Remix” of all the submissions. He had viewers vote, and the top 10 are on this song. Dax paid to fly them out to California, put them up in hotels, and they taped it. This is the finished product, which is phenomenal. God is all over this project!! Thank you Dax, keep the music coming.
God bless you ladies, and be safe out there!❤️🙏🏼🥰

I find that this song is kind of a litmus test amongst reactors and I find women reacting to a small part of the inner workings of our struggle as men to be fascinating this one almost more than most as you have 3 generations of women in the same family doing so.
I'll use ThaGreatwhite as the example. At 11:43 the youngest half glances at her mother either recalling a memory of some male or someone important in general in her life that for a moment was openly struggling and at the time and her wanting to give them a hug or she was looking subtly to her mother looking for an appropriate emotional response to herself emotionally connecting to the lyrics themselves here, most likely though it's some combination of this. Then she swallows in an attempt to push the feelings down followed by a hard blink attempting to turn the feelings off, then a couple seconds later another swallow and a flash of seemingly anger or disgust at the feelings themselves and then one final hard blink shutting the feelings off at the beginning of Dax with the chorus because she goes back to soft blinks and head bobbing to the music.
With the mother 11:38 is where his words start to hit her feeling empathy and her swallow indicates her trying to check her emotional response to the pain being "unbearable". At 11:42 the line of wanting to being given a hug and wanting it to be told its going to be okay fully registers and I honestly feel like at that moment she wanted to give him a hug because her head movement stops completely and to me she genuinely looks sad and then a little confused as if wondering if that's how men really feel which I believe is happening. At 11:52 she doesn't agree to what he's saying with everyone depending on the man telling me that she hasn't, currently doesn't or couldn't understand "why" anyone would depend on a man. I honestly couldn't tell you but it's there.
And not much to say about the grandmother during this sequence as she's just enjoying the vocals and the rhythm of the song in general throughout. Though I will note that she didn't particularly enjoy the rapping sections of the song and generally thought that they brought the song down. Which I have to say that I disagree on a thought like that (remember please that I could and most likely am wrong about some, most or all of what I said throughout) as the point of it all was that through the many different walks of life that world offers (several countries and backgrounds) a small glimpse of the thoughts and burdens of a man are given so that the men that listen to it know that we all struggle pretty much the same
I'm not really sure honestly who this song is more for, for the men to know we all go through similar thoughts, sacrifices and burdens as men in general so that we can lean on each other if we have to because we all understand. Or if it's for women so they can begin to understand men's hardships and struggles with emotions that we refuse to share with the world for the simple fact that people will see us weak or "lesser than". But it sure is interesting to see people reacting to this song, women even more so, because good actors or not some part of the song will resonate and with both men and women when you get true subconscious emotional response moments like this song brings out of everyone I've seen react to this be it hard blinks and swallows to fiddling with a necklace to the cold eyes and of course the leg bouncing and fidgeting. You really get a small window of the person themselves and what resonates emotionally be it a pain or an empathy reaction. I dunno, just my weird armchair psychology and profiling driven by my base desire to understand things and people are the hardest. Let me know, how accurate do you think I was since this is of course all conjecture on my part. Was I close, way off, or somewhere middling. If you got to this sentence, thanks for reading, I dunno if I would have read my armchair psychology book.
Thanks for sharing Kathy, Lulu & Donna

Nice reaction. Yet its sad that it takes a song for any and all women to se tge mans point of view in life. No women ever cared before this song came out. Yeah it takes this music at times. But it didn't save the lives of hundreds of mens lives that are already gone. It takes a song for women to finally understand. Naw. These women should've treated us men like they wanted to be treated. Bit the male rate of giving up doesn't mean anything. Unless you can profit over it. You didn't care beforehand just like the rest of society. Until a song came around that you can make money on. Face it! Youd never care about this subject if it wasn't popular. Popular song, videos, but personally none of you would have ever even thought about a mans feelings if this song wasn't involved. Its life
