Drove one at an autoshow 2 years back. Great all around vehicle. Felt solid, styled nicely and will age well, powertrain was responsive and easy in and out. In a world that's power and tech obsessed I can still appreciate the simpler good all around vehicles.
I would say get a sedan if you have a friend with an SUV or need the extra ground clearance. You might think you might not ever need the extra space when buying a sedan over an SUV, but sometimes you'll see a really good deal on some furniture and not be able to take it home cause you own a sedan 😅

Wow I kinda forgot how well-done VW/Audi’s turbo 4’s are! I think personally, I’d be tempted by an XC60 or an RDX over this, but you can’t go wrong with a Q5.
In the first 5 seconds, I found the perfect reason to buy one, no god awful tv screen in the front. One little one on the dash and everything else staying as it should. I'll buy one just for that.
I'm not the topher lol but I'm an Audi fan and I think I would choose the MDX because of its cool looks (and it's a 2022) and greater reliability. Ideally, you could get a used 2019/2020 Q5 or even Q7(with the dual-touchscreen interior) in the same price range but if you want something new, I'd say get the MDX if u want reliability and cool looks but get the Q5 if u want a smoother, more well-rounded ride with German luxury.

I have a 2018 Premium Plus since its release and i don’t think these subtle changes are improvements. Nevertheless, amazing sporty family vehicle and you can fit a lot of stuff in it!
Same one got it at release, that big turbo is really starting to eat at the engine. already burned a quart of oil and had to top it off at the dealership. Only have another year with it so 🤷♂ but I would be weary.

I’ve rented quite a few of these through Silver Car. I’m struggling to see the updates besides the lights. One of my favorite rentals along side the Caddy XTS which I think nobody is carrying anymore.
I really like this new facelift. The 2018-2020 was too dynamic looking. Audi is going back to their roots of simplistic elegance. I like it. My biggest gripe is that you can’t get the S-Line package on the 45tfsi in the US.
Do you alter the audio settings to you preference or do you leave them as from factory. I tend to find that factory settings are always not the best on any car.
SMH, I really want this car, but there's nothing wrong with my current car ('17 Hyundai Sonata). It makes more sense to keep my car until the wheels come off, but after 7 years of driving it, I'm ready for something else!!

I never attempt to wash my vehicle when it's less than 20° degrees. Especially when there's salt and ice on the ground. It's gonna get dirty by the time you drive off
Too bad, Audi DCT are garbage, only for 36mth leased ... have one in my ttrs and it's trash just like it was in my old GTI. Lurching and not smooth at all. There's reason why Audi is removing DCT from their new cars and higher trim models
@@gilboman have both a 2018 A4 & 2018 q5... the A4 is super lurchy and unsure around stop signs, and 1st to 2nd. But the q5 is noticeably smoother. I wonder why

I own a q5 2018. You would have absolutely zero idea that they are made in Mexico. The doors have that satisfying thunk. Today the cars are built by robots, not the locals.
I’m sooooo tired of the “afterthought tablet” that they use as the interface. They couldn’t have made the Q5 interface similar to the little brother model, the Q3?
Audi interiors just don't look like anything special. For a premium brand, where's the leather on the door and dash?? It's just injected molded plastic and looks extremely cheap. Having sat in new Audi products, they just aren't impressive when comparing to Mercedes or Volvo.
I think they could add more leatherette inside but can’t fault the interior for being well built, functional with high res displays and physical hvac controls. The one screen for infotainment and hvac on the Volvo seems clunkier to me. Mercedes is definitely more of the flashy lux if one wants that. The black color interior doesn’t help in this case too

They’re smoother now in the new model year due to the mild hybrid they added so low speed lurchiness as well as auto start/stop is better
