He just needs to add value when he plays a tempo deck. His dragon deck was the same.. he mutilated a great deck with clerics and value plays. He just refuses to play the short game.
The deck is not terrible, Trump was just playing it terribly.

The deck isn't bad. Maybe not legend good, but it is decent. Trump did play it pretty badly, however. Sending the elite into a 1/1 instead of going face, forgetting that champion needs a dragon to get charge when he played Azure Drake.
In the next chapter of trump's descent into madness: pirate priest.

Add blingtron to activate the pirates, and then toss in mech synergy as well just to be overzealous. it could win some games as long as the servers get DDoSed at the right timing.

Actually murlocks with aoe could kinda work with commanding shout and battle rage. It would probably not get over 10% winrate but still there are more stupid deck idea.

An interesting consequence of the new weapons in this expansion is a decrease in the chance of getting cursed blade from 4 to 3 percent.
Not that trump's weapon cared.
In the first game I saw more pirate warriors trading than I did in the last week. This is amazing.

I love decks that combine different tribes into one. I used to run a mech/beast druid that wasn't any good on ladder, but I had a lot of fun with it.
Did anyone else see patches the pirate and think "Ha, what a bad legendary". I sure did until the meta was formed around a near stonetusk boar card.

Turns out it's good on most deck looking for early game cards.
Dusty I thought he was bad until they also announced Small Time Bucaneer. I think that card with Nzoths first mate make Patches incredibly powerful.
He was the first legendary I got from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan and I'm like" Haha, what a trash card and of course that's the one I get", but it turned out to be a pretty good legendary.
Tbh if i can accept anyone playing Pirate Warrior it's Trump since he's done multiple runs with Pirate warrior way before this expansion. He's not really just jumping on a bandwagon since he's played the deck loads before

actually, the whole problem was that he tried to put too much value in, which is what made the deck bad.

Earlier i was playing aggro warrior (i know i'm cancer but i wanted to climb the early ranks quickly), and i ran into the deck trump's playing, i had almost no chance of winning, but then my opponent played malkarok and got cursed blade, then i topdecked arcanite reaper and won

I've been having more luck with a pirate/jade rouge. Only five pirate cards Swashburglar, Small-Time Buccaneer, and Patches. Been working pretty well.

I made pirate face warrior for the quick grimy goons quest packs and now I feel bad for playing the deck at all.

I've reached rank 7 only with the help of this deck!But i think that Malkorok should be changed.Maybe the Black knight will be better.
Btw,Trump made a lot of mistakes and i think that he could win the match against jade druid only going face.So, deck is better than pirate warriors,but it is still losing against warlocs

Trump's fixation on value is actually plain shortsightedness: he has no semblance of ability to recognize the win condition of decks, matchups, and individual matches. He thinks you can grind out anything with anything if you play the better control game.
Also, a huge thumbs up to Jens for the ending.

Did dragon-pirate warrior change much after MSoG? Before the expansion when I encounter this deck I always go /snort this deck again. Not fast enough not late game enough, that's what I felt. And I don't mean 'mid-range-y'. Not aggro enough, not heavy punches enough late game, just in between neither nor; mediocre.
GotPatches and the 1/2 that becomes a 3/2 when you have a weapon.So it's generally faster.

You know that your opponent is a more aggressive deck, and when such you should be looking for more removal and more sustain right? So why lessen your chance of finding said important cards when you could just, not. Seems like a misplay IMO, the order I would've done would be: Innervate, Jade Idol, Fandral, and Living Roots the 1/1. I'd love to know if my reasoning is actually correct though!
I would tend to agree. But most people have no idea how to play Jade Druid, i see them shuffling Idols very early even when facing my Beast-Hunter p.e. Like, sure that tempo hunter which drops minions like it goes out of style wil be impressed with my neverending value! Oh wait, i died.

+Lethal Pigeon also it's not like this game is super flexible for (infinite) deck ideas. You cant just invent "freeze Aggro ninja jade shadowform-priest" and a) expect it to be good (I.e. relevant), b) be the first and honestly c) expect it to even exist :D

Dragon aggro is inferior because pirate aggro kills opponent before turn 6, usually negating drakonid crusher value.

Playing Sir Finley and hero powering in a pirate deck is a waste of mana, imo. If you're not playing a weapon or a charger/pirate you're giving them time to stabilize.

A Tem it isn't just a 1-1,it makes your deck 29 cards instead of 30 most of the time, and it's a pirate ,pretty great card
