I been practicing recently as well. I used to airbrush in the late 80's early 90's. For the last 15 years or so, i've had a silent compressor under my desk and still have 5 iwata airbrushes. I can doodle anytime i want. I gotta get motivated. Nice job.
@andrewnegri4678 thank you. I had many mistakes but while I was painting it I gradually learn to control the airbrush. It's like I was trying to know the airbrush again. They spray differently each one.
There are factors affecting spray quality. Paint is crucial; although any paint can be used for an airbrush, you'll notice a significant difference when aiming for finer spray. However, not all "airbrush paint" in the same brand will spray the same, even from well-known companies like Createx. The way we use reducers also matters. If the paint is good but you reduce it incorrectly, you'll face challenges. I plan to delve into this in-depth soon; there's a lot to discuss, and a text alone isn't sufficient to explain everything.
There's nothing wrong about 1:1 ratio, but don't hesitate to add reducer. Wicked colors are not so consistent for every color. Some colors are thicker than others.
Thank you. Airbrush is 183 model 0.5mm (try looking for Fengda 183 or PointZero 183) pressure is 25-30psi. The paint is a cheap locally made Keenworth Arbiair (made in the Philippines). And in addition the paper I am using is a Synthetic paper so I could scratch or erase the paint.
I use two unbranded airbrushes and another 4 that are Filipino brand "Hobbiworkz," which is the same as the Fengda brand, which I believe is available worldwide. Another similar brand is PoinZero.
I use different model of airbrushes. My main airbrush is the Hobbiworkz BR183, also i have three of the BR180 model and 1 BR130. Hibbiworkz brand is just a rebrand name made by a local store in the Philippines. If you want to buy it the international (exact product) is the Fengda or the PointZero brand. If you'd buy to another brand, I can't say it's the same airbrush. I already bought from Kkmoon and other Chinese name, they are different.
I'm not certain; it's unclear what's on her shoulder. I just downloaded the reference image from Pinterest, and it was uploaded by a random person, not the creator. This person also mentioned downloading it from another website. So, it's hard to confirm if that's a snake on her shoulder.
However, in my understanding of the image, the objects on her shoulder appear to be dried leaves, symbolizing the passage of time, which can desiccate even beauty, causing it to fade away.
Either you were in a hurry or you were distracted - her right eye is a problem)))) - but still beautiful. I get why the eyes basically ruin everything - they are flat and not wet - reflections and highlights would be added
There are lots of mistakes here and there. I even had splatters and spiders in many areas. While I was painting this, I almost wanted not to continue. Took me 2 months to finished, because I couldn't figured out the many different problems. Till now I am still struggling.
Yes, the splatters are noticeable even in the video - it could be a bent needle, a scratched needle, improperly mixed or low-quality paint (you can see in the video that the paint is not laying down evenly but in specks). And I can't see it, but it looks like the airbrush is an Iwata clone? @@AirbrushNinja but you captured the defocusing effect pretty damn well)))
Excellent!!!!!! I’m just getting back into it at 66. Will see how it goes. What an inspiration. Thank you
