Neje 4 Max- Z axis review and setup

- The Z axis on this machine is the best that I have tested yet for simplicity. A Z axis that doesn't require many moving parts. I have also added the auto air assist relay to the M7 connector on the board. This machine does use the new E80 module from Neje with 20 watts of power output.

Thank you for the channel and spending the time to show assembly of this machine. I pulled the trigger on this machine and put it together last night using your video!
Glad it helped. Nice machine for sure.
Not easy to see what you're doing when you have your machine video on the same side as the window you're explaining ...
It can be challenging..
Can I see Enclosurezilla 2 in the near future (in the new Clack Shack when Brandys Barn is operational ?)
I need some space for sure. Still aint got the $$ though..
Good morning Sir. Looks kinda like you are in the same shape that I am in. Road hard and put up wet! I am half disabled and don’t work quite long ke I would like. Two many years of being young! I am trying to find the best machine to help me make some extra money on the side to help with the so called Golden years! I have watched your channel for the last solid three months night and day. And still not sure what way you go. Can you please help !
I do understand that there are many variables
You kinda need to figure out what you want to do, where you will be using it and what your budget is. There are lots of good machines out there. My Atezr has been my workhorse but many of the other machines work for me also.
I'm considering of bying a Max 4 E80 but in the TH-cam video's they have a tankchane on the X and then in other video's they dont....even at the site they show a tank chane. Why??? Do i have to perchase seperatly????
Mine came with it, I am not sure why their marketing images would show differently. Maybe that others didn’t install them
LOVING my 4MAX with the E80. The Z-axis is nice...but it took some getting used to. Manual seemed faster but now that I'm getting used to it it's SO much better.
I agree, makes it easy the way it is set up.
This idea never crossed my mind. Thank you, so much! I watched yesterday and made one for myself. It worked beautifully! I spliced wood for the base piece because I did not have a large enough piece of wood.
Glad it helped.
I'm glad I checked this video out. I'm saving for a 30 watt laser but the bells and whistles of this machine could change my mind. Thanks for reviewing this one for us.
It is a nice machine with a good price tag considering.
My Autofocus Zaxis do the same thing for Xtool maxchines or any machine that runs on lightburn :) Great video
I have heard about them. The simpler the better it seems. I actually prefer this method most auto z axis adjustments that I have seen.
I'm missing something in the set up. How do you set up the z axis on the machine itself. One video I watched , when it homed it went up. Mine stayed at the 25mm I set it at when I tightened the thumb screws..
set zero at the focal point on the spoil board. It should all be in the video from there. Manually adjust the Z axis to the bottom when attaching the module.
@@TheClackShack Thanks for your quick reply. The chinese english makes my head spin and their witing with the most fu...up punctuation is like traversing a corn field maze with your eyes closed. Their explanation of installing the laser module is beyound description.
When you say set it at 0, do you mean to lower the laser till it touches the spoil board and if so where does the 44mm come from?
How is the back since your doctor's visit? I had back issues for a long time, surgery, steroid injections, and the last procedure was an epidural injection and it seemed to help tremendously. Lifting, weed-eating, and such things that stress your core will probably have to be addressed. Not doing the things we enjoy is truly a pain. Take care of yourself.
Past 3 days have been rough still. Maybe even worse, I am praying for better days. It is bad when I can barely muster the energy to get in the shop. Never had pain like this... Thanks.
Sorry to hear that, back pain is tough, will be praying for you. Take care of yourself
Thanks Great video take care of your back.
Thanks, will do!
when you say you focus it at the table level are you actually setting the nozzle basically on the board or raising it up off the board by 15 mm or simply the laser dot ???
I set mine based off the spoil board, just come up the thickness of material
my setup is like yours mounted on a solid board and right now I cant engraph .. if I follow the steps correctly , loosen the module screws lower the gantry 44 mm from the top and retighten with the laser module raised how much ???

when you get a moment ... when cutting is your laser beam round ... mine is not
The bean is gonna be rectangular or square with all diodes that I have used. @@tomspurrier3325
Make sure your lightburn settings are the same as mine. Must be set correctly for it to work like mine does. I can't send screenshots in here. Message my Facebook page and I can. @@tomspurrier3325
How would this compare to xtool and that rang. Or they on another level
On the neje master 3 is there a big difference
This machine has twice the work area of the D1 and also has power Z and auto air. The D1 is a good machine but much smaller work area and less upgrades. I would use this machine before I went back to my D1 20 watt pro, just sayin.. This machine does have the newest module
You can send it to me……… don’t let it collect dust (smoke)
I will get use out of it. Just gotta get some more room.... lol
@@TheClackShack You need a room just for lasers…….a nice isolated pole building with all your laser equipment…….. don’t build it to small small either……
My retirement dream is a bigger shop...@@deborahwhitman5828
Looks cool!
I like it.. I need more room
@@TheClackShack Don’t we all! I have a sewing room, a craft room, and a laser/heat press room (aka Rod’s tool/furnace room)! And I definitely need more! I also have a quilting machine in the spare bedroom downstairs-I almost forgot that one!🤭
would you say the price difference between the Max 4 and the Max 3v2 E80 is worth it, looks to be about $270 more for the Max 4 E80.
This machine is much better than the 3 Max that I had. The linear rails made a big difference as well as the power z axis
@@TheClackShack thanks for the reply, didn't realize the 3 Max didn't have the linear rail
The one I had used rubber wheels and extrusions
