Managing to throw a run that starts with Molten Egg and Question Card is impressive, but I never doubted you, egg. I believe in you. Some day you'll get literally the luckiest possible run, you'll skip less than half of the cards that you need and you'll get your A20.
@Brandon Bevill Worthless except to occasionally save 5hp on a standard floor fight. Some of the best players I've seen really highly value potion belt. Potions can make a massive and cascading difference in boss fights.
just to let you know, yips in ireland are a term for ecstasy pills, maybe you should work that into your strategy i dunno just throwing things out there
Tactics 4/10, Strategy 6/10. Some good, some bad, and some ugly plays. Some of the specific fight optimizations are still eluding egg, like focusing down the spawns at basically all cost until you have a 2 turn lethal. Seriously, Frail + Weak is basically a death sentence in that fight. Act 1, part 2: - Skip the first run. Egg just bit off more than he could chew. - I actually like NL's early decision making here, although the Doubt was a little questionable considering there was a chance he'd have to fight an elite without Lament and with a Doubt. Still, his deck is pretty decent. - A little too heavy on non-defensive cards - After Image and Footwork help, but an additional Block card or two seems necessary. - NL went in a turn early on the Lagavulin - Noxious, After Image, and Leg Sweep would have made the fight much easier. - Too many potions committed to a boss that NL would crush with just the Thorns, or maybe even without. - Adrenaline vs Die Die Die is admittedly a pretty tough call - both the AoE and the extra card played and energy gained are fairly important. I think I'd go for Adrenaline personally, since it comboes better with FInisher or Choke, hoping for some Dagger Spray+s to come around. As for the Boss Relic, Question Card makes Busted Crown less of a dead pick, but it's still risky- NL wants to abuse the Egg and he also has question card to immediately find more blocks, so I'd go with Pandora's. Act 2, part 2: - NL really doesn't need more offense, but more defense. - Do like NL holding the Potion and taking 5. - NL's not exactly using Letter Opener to its fullest extent. - The Draw potion should have been held, I think, but the other potions are fine. - Take Piercing Wail! It bodies every single Act 2 Elite! - Toxic eeeeegggg, take me hoooooome, to the deeeeeck, where I beloooooooong, Cloak and Dagger, kill the chosen, take me hoooome, shuriken. - NL diverted too many attacks to the Gremlin Leader itself and thus got overrun by +5 STR mobs.
Dude, he waited as long as he could against the lagavulin. He only sleeps three turns. I'm hardly defending the egg, but you're literally, mathematically, objectively wrong here. You're also telling him over and over he needs more blocking, but he should skip half the effect of a +ENG relic to transform all of his defensive cards, sans backflip? I mean, you gave his strategy a 6/10 this episode as well. You ok man?
