Hello,
I would like to know if at the age of 24, when I am just now starting my adventure with drawing in Photoshop, do I have a chance to become an illustrator in the future?
Ever since I was little I have always drawn something because it made me happy but over time I unfortunately gave in to peer pressure to start preparing for "more serious" professions, however I still enjoyed creating graphics for various comics, books and I decided to return to this at the age of 24.
As for my artistic level, it is at a low level, so I am diligently learning the basics of drawing, as well as how to use the Photoshop tool.
I realise that it may take me years to learn how to draw and master graphic design programs, as well as build up my portfolio, but I really want to become an illustrator.
I know that at the moment my level and knowledge of graphic programmes is low, so I plan to start working as a car painter and at the same time further study to become an illustrator, with a view to changing careers in the future.
I'm wondering if this kind of self-study and at the age of 24 is enough for me to be able to work as an illustrator in the future even in some small company. I have heard about various courses and I wonder if they can really help me get a job.
