Which is better: Van Life or Boat Life?! th-cam.com/video/bjsFfZPX1Co/w-d-xo.html&t
super idyllic life, a very genuine representation of a couple, right down to the complaining about having to do all the dirty work and the comeback compliment , about letting him feel like the man!!! enjoyed immensely
all of your vids are great, but for some reason this one really touched me in the deepest way. it may be the slower pace, the wonderful music you chose and the dearness of your caring for each other. the later comes through on every vid, but this time it was all a quiet magic. ty
Thanks for bringing back great memories for us. We lived on our 60 footer for 3yrs...and loved every minute. Great to see Bee steering!! It's always the ladies that get dumped with the locks, while the gents chill out at the tiller. Worst thing round our tiller?? A sofa through Birmingham.
I’m watching and re-watching all your back catalogue of videos and you guys never cease to amaze me. You two are a great couple living an idyllic lifestyle, I wish I had the balls to do what you’ve done and will be doing for many years to come, I’m so jealous and feel I’ve missed out on life. This is another great vid, thanks for sharing.
If more people lived so beautifully.....there were be sooooo much less "conflict" in this World of ours I luv your videos....but even moreso...how sweeeet the Two of you are!!! Congratulations on Living Your Dream............
Baby ducks are so darling.
Absolutely awesome. Love those canals (so picturesque). Nothing like those narrowboats here in the US.
they're ace!
Thanks for a glimpse into your narrow boat life. I really enjoyed it.
It just seems so idyllic, to be able to travel so serenely in your floating home, then tie up along the bank and enjoy a cozy evening by the wood burner.
Wishing You Well
Your channel always makes me smile.Happy travels you two.
Reminds me of when I was sailing on the Norfolk broads with my Aunty and uncle. So much fun
Lovely place!
the production quality is amazing.
Ginjy Bear! Love her
Thanks Julie :)
It's great how well you know your boat.
:)
Those ducks! and Gingey! I've really enjoyed it!!!
thank you :)
I first watched some of your van stuff but my focus has since shifted to the possibility of a narrowboat. What a pleasant surprise to find that you have a narrowboat for a home base! I totally get it. Hope to see you on the cut one day. I live in Hout Ba y South Africa and I dream of narrowboats and canals...(and Vans)
What the best quiet place you have stayed for the night watching sun set an fire burning 🔥
I admire you both.....I think I would love the adventure, but the small place would make me a little crazy after a while
they're adorable and they make it look fun, but it seems a little small for me to live in. Maybe I could do it for a week 🤔
Cute ducklings! Enjoyed the video I am now nice and chilled
Thanks Steve :) the ducklings are adorable!
Really enjoyed your day in the life on your Narrowboat.
thank you :)
It's exciting to live in your way.
So pleased you cleared up the 💩 question! Lovely day on the canal. 😀
haha yes well we get quite a few people asking about it ;) cheers for watching!
Pretty sure Willie Nelson has a "weed hatch" on his bus, too.
Loved the video. Glad you 2 finally got a little sunshine.
Thanks Bryant!
Awesome! Cool way to travel. Thanks for posting your adventure.
thanks for the lovely comment!
Lovely! More a day in the life videos please. It's really interesting to see what a day on a narrow boat looks like, not just nice bits :)
no boat or camper but over 30 years ago found an old farm cottage (in east sussex) still here.,have thought about putting wheels on it .it is a good life .must now go and chop more fire wood .good luck to you both.
must say i rent cottage from a very nice farmer.
This is the first of your videos I have stumbled across and I find the idea of narrow boats fascinating. Even though they are 'narrow' there is certainly more room than we ever had in our old Bedford bus. I can't say I envy you the English weather (I am formerly from Bristol) and am rather glad I now live in sunny Western Australia.
Great video, I nearly bought a boat to live on when I lived in Warwick. Wish I had, it looks fab.
it's wonderful :) thanks for watching
beautiful photography, music , and editing. well done!
thanks!
The doctor says my weed hatch is all cleared up now, thanks for asking ;-)
Ha ha!!
very happy to hear it ;)
CruisingTheCut u
Luv how ya so casual on other channels ctc
Do 'Customs & Excise' know about your #Weed-Hatch?? ;-)
Great video guys. Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks Eric!
I'm land locked in Texas and this just looks like a wonderful way to live. I've watched enough videos to realize it's a lot of hard work, but still, envious....
Thanks for watching :)
You got a boat , as well... How awesome!!
as much as i do love your van videos some more stuff on your boat and canal culture would be great
thanks guys
Thanks for the feedback! We're planning on doing more boat vlogs in the future :)
Another great boat vlog/blog boat ones are the best, will see you on the CUT around someday
Cheers! I'm sure you will :)

That looks like a beautiful way to live. Well done!
loved the vid, nice to see an alternative view of your lifestyle
Cheers Alistair!
nice video, used to have a boat just like yours ( springer ) on the kennet & avon, watching your canal adventures makes me wish I still had it, best wishes to you 🚤
Aw you must have many fond memories!
Hi. Your thumbnail photo lured me in.. Now subbed. There is something really comforting about your video style, music, You! that renews my love for our beautiful country. England at its best. Day brightened.. many thanks xx

😁😁😁
🚢🚢🚢
cheers Holly!
Brilliant video as always guys! And yes... my fella also tries to do all the jobs just so he can tell me that I don’t do enough!! 😂 we are currently converting our T4 and looking to buy a canal boat in the future so your videos are awesome for us! Thank you for putting out your content, it’s so helpful and your style is so welcoming and easy to watch. We love it! 👌❤️
Hey @The Indie Projects, love all your vlogs and can't wait to get on our travels in vanlife. Converting at the minute so just need to be patient lol. The narrow boat looks awesome and we're so jealous. Keep up the good work 😃👍🏼
Also liking the music in this 1. Who is it?
Cheers Vinnie! It's super exciting building the van of your dreams, it'll be great when you can get out and explore! We'll put the music in the description soon :)
Thanks for sharing your day with us. :-)
amazing way of living. one comment is maybe buy a spanner or socket to fit your weed hatch. adjustable spanners can round off your bolts. please keep the vids coming. much love!
Cheers Ian!
The Indie Projects socket set and copper ease grease for the bolts. Will make your life a lot easier. Apart from that , I'm green with envy 💚 I've worked out I've got at least 4 yes until I can enjoy life on a slow boat to nowhere ☺
Really enjoyed this, so interesting! Please do more!
thank you :)
I know this was 5 years ago but how cool is that boating in a canal
You are a lovely couple.
Please could you stop, just stop producing videos. I watch them all and after each one I think I need a campervan in my life. Now I need a campervan, a narrow boat and even a cat. It has been a dream of mine to have a camper van since I was little. I love watching the videos so keep up the good work. Look forward to your next adventures.
:) sorry!!!
Michael Kuszpit couldn't agree more and even more painful for me is.. I've owned a vw t4 windowed day van but didn't have to the funds to keep her on the road so sold it!. 😢
Haha, I'm selling a campervan!
Great video. I envy you guys in Britan. All of these canals that you can travel. We. don't have that here in the States. Good travels!
cheers!
very well put together video, well done.
Loved it it's our plan to do the same in a few months just need the right boat got our t4 and Lt35 just got to steel the house and we're off great vlog guys wish we would have done it years ago
thank you enjoyed it ,liked seeing "weed hatch" thanks for sharing!
thanks!
top tip for keeping the propeller clear and minimise visits down the weed hatch whilst underway and cruising drop her into neutral drift for a few seconds then give a generous blast in reverse then neutral and drift past what you have blown off then back into gear and on your way!
works for most of the typical vegetation based build ups!
and you don't get your arms wet!
enjoy your boating :) keep up the good videos!
Cheers David, we did try it a few times as this isn't the first time we've had this issue, but the build up was just too great this time! Always try and avoid dipping our arms into the canal if we can!
David Jordan ń
Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Love this video, look forward to the winter ones. :)
very nice, folks! thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Lovely video, thanks.
thanks for watching :)
great relaxing homely viewing, just one comment, it would be nice to know on which canal you are travelling and which towns or tunnels you enter. I have spent a lot of time in the Leicester, Foxton Locks areas on my many holidays from NZ. Love it all. Well done
I enjoy all your vlogs, thanks :)
thanks for watching them :)
That was awesome, really interesting 😀
thanks Marc!
Great video guys. Looks like a beautiful way to live! Very jealous :-)
cheers!
Nice to see where you are travelling! Thanks for sharing... Do you have trouble keeping Ginger on the boat when you're moored? My kitty would be a nightmare to contain!!
Loved it! Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you :)
Nice insight to the canal life very good video
cheers!
Great Video Guys!!
thanks!
I enjoyed that 👍🏻, its good to see a little bit of life on the boat, but where do you park the van up?
Thanks! We park the van nearby, there's usually somewhere not too far away to keep her :)
You mean they don't have firewood and an axe ready for visitors like we have in Sweden? Strange... ;-) Loved the video, the canal life looks fantastic. Loved the bloke you met: "It's a struggle" LOL
hahaha yeah we're lacking in the department in the UK, we'll never forget our surprise at discovering firewood and axes readily available in Sweden!
As it should be! ;-)
so envy you guys what a great life. from Malaysia.
thanks for watching :)
Great video guys as always, where do you park your van?
Thanks Daz! She's parked up not too far away, there's usually a street to park her up in or something of the sort :)
Hi guys, so blissful! Do you use a mail forwarding service or PO Box? thinking to get mobile soon and would love some recommendations!
Ok I love it as usual.
Excellent video.
cheers
nice video... if you want to clean the fire window get some 4 noughts (0000) steel wool and it will not scratch but cleans the window, cant beat seeing the flames .. cheers
Thanks Colin! We've found that damp kitchen roll works a treat too, just have to remember to clean it is the biggest problem ha!
😊😊😊 Thank you!
Lovely video!
Thanks Emma :)
Love the video. What stretch of canal was it taken on?
Great video! New subscriber!! Greetings from Canada🇨🇦
James From Manitoba. Thanks James. Welcome 😀
Only just discovered this and it's good to watch, but would be nice to know what part of the canal system you are traveling..please :)
As always fantastic content I love the way u shoot and edit content really awesome, currently looking to buy a small live aboard myself exciting times a head I hope 😊 great vid thanks
thank you!
Hi I really enjoy your VLOG. Keep it up. Rev.
How often do the canals flood and what do you do in the event of a flood, how do you secure the boat so you don't end up high and dry on the bank?
Hi. I also live in my narrowboat and camper. I could never live in a house again. Last year I put the boat onto a hard standing for winter and spent 3 months around Spain in the bus which was amazing. I'm currently back on the boat now on the Gloucester and sharpness canal but plan to travel onto the Llangollen canal this winter. Which canal are you on ?. Keep up the great vids . Cheers Del.
Instead of a port-o-potty, why don't they have holding tanks so you could have a macerator and normal marine electric toilet? Are there no pump out stations?
Loved the video...xo from Hollywood...:)
thanks!
Enjoyed very much, cool cat harness...
Ohhhh. That was so relaxing. What is the HP of the engine, does it run on propane & how fast does it go? It appears to be what might be a normal walking speed, as if on the path alongside, so maybe 2, 3 MPH? Can you get around on the canals in winter or must you lift the longboat out of the water so it won't be damaged?
