After you've recited the words - "And if my invention thrive" - take a brief pause as you go for "Edmund the base". Add more emphasis and make yourself louder; the juxtaposition between 'Edmund the base' and 'Legitimate' shall sound more convincing. Pay heed to the elements of internal rhyming that Shakespeare sprinkled over Edmund's speech to make him sound determined. Language is made pleasurable, try and bring that out, try and capture the rhythmic quality of Edmund's speech. Look how these words rhyme - 'base' with 'legitimate' and 'proper' with 'bastards'. A lengthy interval would hamper the rhymings. Thanks.

Suggestion: "I must have your land" it would be really interesting to see you relish this idea more, relish the idea that the bastard son has claimed the legitimates land. There can be a sense of victory within that followed by your threatening demeanor and that gorgeous laugh.
