Let me know how much FedEx is paying in your area..... When I started my pay was $13 working a 5hr PT shift ($14 if I worked FT) What questions do you have that I may not have covered?
If you work full time and live at home you could stack up between 15-20k in 8 months, just remember that. This is for anyone that is in college and still living at home, stack that money up and then bounce 🏃💨
That's a good plan if ppl can do it b/c once you move out those bills start coming like clock work. Less stress when you don't have to worry about how you going to pay bills. 👍🏽
@@HumanEncoded Unemployment has been finished here in New York since September. I still have some money left, but after January I won’t have anything. I have to put my half of $750 each month for me $2,250 rent. Should I work at FedEx? They have openings near me.
@@DannyBoy426 you can try them out to see if you like it enough to stay. I would also see if I can flip some of that money you have now (legally) to see if you can start making enough to pay your rent every month & eventually not have to work jobs like FedEx. Just a thought 🤔
Currently working at FedEx as a package handler as a second job for supplemental income. There’s pros and cons. It’s not for the weak lol. Mgmt. doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing. But it beats having a job where you deal with the general public. This video is on point.
@@danielterrance5824 well you will get training like any other job. It's super easy, if you have patient and common sense you can do that job with ease. It's a great relaxing/chill job and get paid. It's like you not working because you really babysitting. Especially if you get right client.
Always good to hear an insiders real point of view like this. These companies show you a video with some smiling faces saying how they love their "career" but you know its all fluff.
That is definitely fluff for the majority of ppl there. You do have a small percent of ppl who like it there. Can't no one say it's laid back working in the warehouse though. Thanks for watching Drahcir 👍🏽
The actual job is very demanding and hard to find the right storage. It gets better, but I've found, the people make it fun. After all we are in this together. Great video, thank you!
I work at fed ex ground in minnesota. This job is not for everyone. But for those who love physical labor and working hard, this is definitely for you. You make great relationships and time flies right on by.
@Lucas Sonny I don't mean to be mean when I say this, but I'm not sure how you didn't have time. I am friends with my original orientation group, my boss, and tons of people from around the facility. I work at the largest one in Minnesota and I had no problem making friends. I also work in wisconsin and had no troubles there either. Everyone will most likely be friendly. People will talk to you if you talk to them. Trust me I know tons of people from everywhere and it's amazing.
I got my orientation next monday. some of these people on TH-cam over exaggerating themselves on how the job really is. I needed the truth and i found it. Big thanks
Any job, no matter pay or tasks. If you put your mind to it and stay diligent and hydrated and grateful. You’ll be just fine. I’m just trying to get my foot in the door. Once your foot gets in. You’ve completed the hardest part!
I’m actually going tomorrow for my onboarding and first day. I was a previous amazonian but wasn’t being paid a livable wage. I’m dedicated to hard work and as much over time possible! I’m genuinely excited over it so i can better my life with my husband and so we can get our dream house and so i can get a new car.
@@kqcleer7987 hi , how are you doing at fedex ground? ....my wife wants to work for them here in NJ but she is worry about the weight of the packages because sometimes they are very heavy , when you have time answer this question . Thanks
Mane really appreciate you taking time out to type this. I try to address every comment & give my opinion respectfully. Glad to see it comes off in a positive way. Hope you find the job you're looking for bruh... Salute 💯
I started at FedEx in September 2021 and it was the best career choice I made after high school. I loved every minute of it. My warehouse was small so it only offered part time shifts. But I experience everything from loading/unloading trailers, splitting, loading trucks, etc.
i worked 4 years as a package handler at ground. One thing that isnt mentioned is that fedex ground has a 150lb limit on their packages so just be aware you might have to be moving some very heavy shit around. But if you dont mind physical work its actually a pretty good job, the pay is decent for what the job is, the benefits are also nice, and you are always working so your shift will fly by.
@@lucysantiago2067 it just depends on what area of the country you live. Here's a video about how much warehouse jobs pay. th-cam.com/video/iDpgVmdsFqc/w-d-xo.html
My worst day ever was during peak, and there were 2 people on my side of the belt, me and a girl, and rollers on the other side with no one to load. She split while loading five trucks and I loaded the last eight. We started at 2am and didn't get any help till around 7am. And we only did then because we litterally could not physically continue and had to stop the belt and ask for help. We managed keep the belt from turning into a complete catastrophe, even with the peak volume. I think FedEx is a good company and they pay relatively well and have good benefits, but if your good at your job and willing to work hard, be warned. They WILL take advantage of you!
@@ChamucoOnePiece I agree, looking back there's no way I would've done that again. Doing a good job is worth it though, because hopefully I'm going to be promoted to trainer soon. +$4 dollars an hour.
Once they see you will work hard they will work you hard unfortunately. I moved from working the belt line to just scanning, wrapping, moving the pallets which was 10x easier in less than a week of getting hired. You can get promoted without over working yourself. Make sure to build relationships with the managers you work with. Let them know what position you like & the one you don't. That should help you at least last longer.
Am just finishing my 4th year as Seasonal Pkg Handler. I get on board in October and leave in March. It's tough work but you'll find out how good of shape you can get into. The teamwork aspect is incredible and I am so glad to see the familiar faces there. Be on time work hard. The money and benefits are pretty good. Be safe always.
Been at FedEx for 3 years. I’ve had my ups and some major downs. The physical labor is one thing but this job can test you in a lot of ways mentally with the everyday monotony of it and sometimes these trailers feel like cages lol. I’ve stuck it out cause package handlers get paid around $20/hr here. Just try to get on managers good sides get to know your coworkers and try to work your way up to less labor intensive jobs. Just takes time to adjust to it and try to hide headphones under your hat or something because these warehouses can be depressing as hell lol
you can't have headphones. you can't have a phone at all on the floor because they can't prove if it is yours or from a package, and they are able to confiscate your phone!!!...there's no headphone capability at all so this isn't great advice.
I make $18.50 an hour, but on Mondays I make $21.50 an hour as part of differential pay. As a full-time package handler, I average about 7 to 8 hours on Preload. I come in for IC Prime (1AM or 2AM) and leave between 9-10AM. That's for one shift.
Wow you are really putting in the work & hours. I could only do PT but one reason for that was I had another job. Hope you are getting the pay & results you want while working at FedEx 🤞🏽
@@HumanEncoded I've been with the company for 4 years. I started out part-time when I was in college (only making $10.70 an hour) and have slowly worked my way up to where I'm at now.
Just got hired today for part time package handler! I hope it works out great! I don't mind the hard work due to the hours. I'm excited tbh. Thank you for giving me the inside info.
I'm 18 I been working there for2 days now . Its not bad I'm gone get my license and try to move up and actually drive the FedEx Trucks . The hours and pay cloud be better
Appreciate this video; I’m 56 and just got hired in 2 days by FedEx and wondering if I should try this out or not(orientation is this week). You was down to earth about everything. I don’t look old for my age and I have warehouse exp just not loading for 4-5 hrs straight. I picked full-time overnight. Just got laid off due to cov-19 but getting tired staying home. LoL
That's unfortunate to hear about getting laid off. I know a lot of ppl have been experiencing the same thing lately. Since you have warehouse experience it may not be too bad for you. I really appreciate you watching this video. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.... Also make sure to subscribe if you haven't already. I try to post videos like this often
We've had several people of higher age do way better work than kids fresh out of high school. Bad knees, bored in retirement, enjoys the workout, etc. Anyone can do it if they really want to and are capable.
@BadDrivers PA I totally agree BadDrivers PA..... I think the older generation just doesn't mine working harder than we do (younger generation). Just my opinion 😅
I started working at fedex in Miami. The pay rate now is 15.50 - 17.00 an hour. And yes it’s alot of work. I wanted to quit so bad but I can’t cause I have a goal I’m trying to reach but it’s very hard! Veeeery hard. It’s going to hectic because there’s no AC at all on the truck and the boxes 📦 are steady being rolled into the truck. There’s times when I got trapped because of how fast the boxes were coming Into the truck and me being the only one in there but for the pay it’s worth it 🔥😮💨 I’m trying so hard to stay on the job cause I need a car. Im trying! Hopefully I make make it to see that day💯‼️💪🏾😩🚘
You Can Do It!! 💪🏾👍🏽 I understand where you are coming from. I helped load the trucks a little & we had to toss those boxes quickly b/c how fast they came into the trailer. I know it's hard to do but try not to over work yourself. Once they see you need help they will either send you help or put you in another position they may be a little easier. Hope you're able to get that car you're working so hard for. 🤞🏽👍🏽
It's $15/hour now. And shifts can be as short as 3 hours, and as long as 7 or 8. Weekends are generally optional, and at this writing (11/21) they pay an additional $50 or $100 per Saturday or Sunday worked.
Where I’m at in Texas it’s 18.00 starting out and I been there a year so now I make 20.50 a hour it’s very physical but if u know the ropes it’s a real cool job plus everybody on my van line cool as a fan so we be joking and talking shit the boom shift over it’s goes that fast with work and just having fun tbh
I grew tired of working retail after a year. That was my first job. I figured out customer service is definitely not for me. There was a career service event at my college. I went because I want something better than $10/hr. FedEx was there and other places too. I applied, filled out the background check, got a call back and have orientation today. I guess I skipped the interview part? idk. I applied for 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Mon - Fri at $16.50/hr. I'm nervous as hell but the people I've spoken to so far have been super nice. I'm hoping for the best. My friend from high school works at Amazon and said I betrayed him lol but it's Amazon's fault for not having a 5-10 shift XD
Hey, I guess they don't do interviews anymore 🤷 Sounds like FedEx checked some of these boxes for you as far as pay & schedule. Warehouse work is a lot of repetitious labor. Anyone can do it. Once you start you will be able to figure out if it's worth it to you to stay. Hopefully it works out for you. 🤞🏽👍🏽
I am now 62 years old and retired. I have only had 2 jobs in my entire life. My 2nd job, I was 20 years old and I worked in a Supply Chain warehouse at a Nuclear Power plant. It was 18 of us and we worked every shift and every minute we could get. We were about making that money. Saving for getting our homes, kids education and just saving money. We rarely turned down overtime. We all came in early and stayed late. We worked 7 days a week sometimes and 16 hours per day sometimes and our normal pay was BIG MONEY and we wanted the straight time pay, time and a half pay, double time pay and the triple time pay. Our work was easy. We rarely worked hard. Best job that I ever had
@@HumanEncoded , I agree and I am grateful. Also, we went to work but we actually worked if we wanted to. No one said a word. Very layed back but we all worked most days. At my hub we get 31 minute lunch with 2 10 minute breaks throughout the day if you are full time (1 during 1st shift and another during 2nd shift). You’ll be sore for the first couple weeks but the people I work with are great, very helpful, and make the place fun to work in
I'm a new hire and this seems like work I was made to do my last job was a UPSer so I got the feel for how intense the job will get. You will need mental and physical strength and endurance but with practice you will get better and at times will get easier
I feel like this job is super easy lol. I’m a 126 lb 21 year old woman (ig its easier since I’m masculine presenting and have always been active/into sports). All i do is throw packages around. Obviously you need to be able to have the physical strength but it’s not like every single package ways 50+ lbs. Literally had my manager say bring a weed pen or smoke before i come so that I can relax and just have fun
I just started working full time as a package handler in NE Ohio, $18 starting pay and $19 on weekends. I’ve been working my ass off and my managers/ trainers have been telling me I’m doing a great job. Been there ~1 month and am splitting/loading 1/3-1/2 of a van line at a time, hoping to apply and successfully get a trainer/higher paying position before moving to Texas this fall. If not, oil fields it is😂😂.
Sounds like you have a plan Baker & sounds like you don't mine working hard b/c if you moving to TX to get that oil field money you WILL be working hard out there but hopefully the pay will be well worth it. Hope it goes well for you bro! 💪💯

It sounds like each Warehouse runs differently. I have two friends that work at two different locations and their experiences are so different……

I was working in Nor Cal up until Thanksgiving and it was insane! The micromanaging and the soreness I had every day made me quit. I only stayed for about 2 weeks. The pay was $17.50 an hour for the 2am shift. Seems decent until you realize the stress you're putting on your body with the heavy packages you're putting on the trucks and the belt moving extremely fast. It was miserable for me. I respect anyone that chooses to stay there for a long period of time because it's not easy.

Thanks for your insight. What got me to change my mind was the hourly rate of $16.50 is what caught my eye to apply to FedEx but then I spoke to one of the hiring managers and she seemed somewhat uncertain about the pay and explained that the offer was $ 13.50 part time and $14.50 full time . I work part time at fedex ground whittset NC, a fairly small hub, I do part time 4 AM to 8 AM (bc of peak its 3:30 am to 7:30 AM or 8 depending on volume. They pay me 15.50$ an hour to do 4ish to 5ish hours a day 6 days a week (because of peak and covid) but because it is part time I dont mind working 6 days a week, as a part time you can also just simply show up to the next shit to get some extra hours in, at 15.50$ an hour its absolutely worth it, 2 extra hours is an extra 31$ before tax, if you smoke weed thats a whole 8th right there for 2 hours of work. I average roughly 20 to 30 hours a week depending on how many extra shifts I decide to go to, about 250$ on the low end to 500$ on the high end a week, paid every week on friday Edit: Peak season is over and it dropped down to 5 days a week start time is now 4am or 4:30 am (for preload) and generally you're done by 6 am or 7 am so, about 2 or 3 MAYBE 4 hours a day (for preload) and you are no longer allowed to come in and pick up extra hours because they dont need the extra help. This particular location actually over staffed and is starting to make cuts last I heard, Im not there anymore I worked there for about 2 months or so.
It looks like they increased starting pay b/c I was getting paid $13 (which is good to hear) or wage could be base on the city you work in. I wouldn't recommend it. Worked there for 3 weeks until I walked out. Compared to UPS ( which I worked for the last 2 years ), it's a lot messier, chaotic and a lot less freedom. No breaks are allowed unless you're a full timer, no headphones or headsets allowed, most hubs are understaffed, it's pretty much a worse version of UPS. Pay is a bit higher than UPS surprisingly, but it's not worth it in the long run unless you're a masochist. You're better off working someplace else.

Well currently i work at FedEx they aren't so strict on clocking in early and theres a 3min grace period so 3min before and 3min after. And since the pandemic is basically over, right now you're getting 3 to 4 and half hours. Its no interviews anymore. And u cant just voluntarily pick up shifts, they have an app u have to get to pick up extra hours. If u dont they'll send u home. The start off pay is around 15, to 17 hourly. Just an update. And i lost my water bottle to. But i think most FedEx companies use carts instead if pallets now. Ik they closed the smart post location down in stl Missouri. Coming into peek season just got that 3$ surge pay raise till new year. He got everything spot on with this. I recommend getting tigger certified because it gives u a break pulling the tigger around the building catching a breeze
You don’t always load and unload trucks. You may start out there but there are other jobs that may be easier or less stressful, like Tugging, IC scanner, smalls, IC door, facers, and Switchers.
Quick question my sister and I got hired two weeks ago. They have us loading the trailers and having us go from truck to truck. It’s hell and then it’s hot smh.. They said in six months we can be promoted. Someone stated that loaded and unloaded trucks is not the only option .. how do we get the less stressful jobs. Is this information true or they just lying to us.
@@jadelee5729 stick with it and don’t quit. I am not gonna say it will get easier. Drink a lot of cold water before work and after work. The managers can’t empty trailers too fast or they will flood the docks. If they flood the docks there are not enough switchers outside to keep up with the work. That is why they have you move around. If you are on loadside keep the lights out. If you are on unload just keep working and be dependable. Lots of people will quit or go back to college in august and that is before peak season they will lose managers to college. Best way to become manager is apply for the overnight shifts. There is also Linehaul, quality assurance, and delivery jobs. I am a Switcher, worked inside for 5 years. Spent plenty of time unloading and loading.
yea I worked full time at fedex but then they would push me to work 10 hour days the overtime was nice but.it was tough work getting through day to day. I then moved to part time with the option to work a double shift if I choose to and the managers would say I could stay for as long as I liked my second shift. I've worked at fedex for a year and a half starting at $14 an hour and now I make $20-21 an hour. this video was pretty spot on on how it is working but as for my experience they do stretches before each shift and always give safety advice with water and ice machines making sure everyone is hydrated throughout the work day.
Appreciate you giving us your experience working at FedEx. I can only imagine how working 10hrs feel b/c when I worked 4-5hr shifts it felt like 10hrs lol. Thanks for watching Nick 👍🏽
I just started working at Fedex express as a courier...my station has been overwhelming busy to the point that I got hired as a courier but have essentially been working as a package handler...they’ve been too busy to train all the people they hired as full time couriers due to covid and Christmas. 12 hour days are the norm...we do get some breaks and they order food in so that we don’t have to leave the facility. The package handling can definitely be back breaking work if you’re not smart about how you work and especially if you’re not athletic. I would say you need to take care of yourself, stretch and drink plenty of fluids to do this type of work. Couriers load their own trucks there and dispatch around 10:30 or 11.
Wow! That tells me they are really short handed and the volume is super high 😦 You are definitely right about knowing how to preserve your body doing that type of work. Hopefully it will start to slow down a little after the Christmas holiday. 🙏
Man Ground sounds way harder than Freight😂 I started out at $17.61/hr and we get a 15 minute break every shift. We also move about 90% of everything with a forklift compared to Ground.
That forklift is a game changer that reduces a lot of manual labor. I have heard that other places get break so I'm assuming that not every FedEx operates the same. Also your starting pay is much higher. Not sure if that's b/c of the city you live in tho.
This may sound silly, but I was looking at the "shifts" wrong see I thought I would work 4 hours leave 4 hours and then work another 4 hours. Thanks for clarifying that..
So being a package handler is not that hard? Is it mostly common sense and doing everything at a certain speed? Do you also believe this might be a good job for a college student?
No it's not hard in terms of performing a simple task. Yes it is all about being able to do that task over & over at certain speed. I recommend (if you are interested) trying it out even if you are a college student. Hope this helps Maria
This is late but as a former college student who worked at Fedex at the same time (I graduated in May of this year), yes I recommend it. The way I look at it is that anyone can do this job, but not everyone is cut out for it. Your mental game is just as important as it is how hard you are working. I still work here after over a year and it isn't that bad of a job (except peak season of course) but keeping a good mental state and physical shape are definitely essentials on working here.
I would call it "4" hour shifts the shift ends when the boxes are all sorted, and they can and will add another truck whenever they feel like. At my fedex they yell at you for taking over a 35 minute break if you are full time.
Yea I believe that Andrew... very similar to the location I worked at. Since I only worked PT I didn't have to personally deal with the taking break issue. I did have to deal with making sure to clock in on time or you may get that write up lol
Got orientation on Monday at 7:00am I’m excited I got double shifts on Fridays and Saturdays reckon this in my first job but I’m very active I think I’ll be good and I want to take it on as a career.
Do they send a confirmation email once you have completed the forms for background check? They sent me the background check email last December 23 and I am still waiting what will happen next. This is my first job so I have no idea.
If you did a background check last Dec. 23rd 2019 then you should reapply. If you did it Dec of this year I'd give it a couple more days to receive some type of email or call. If you have a contact number maybe you can call them & check on your status. Hope this helps Shaira
i got hired at ground as a full time package handler and it’s really not that bad i make 17 an hour on weekdays and 19 on weekends i’m enjoying it as i’m about a month in and i didn’t even have an interview or got trained i just had orientation and went straight to work lol
Same here. They just rang me up and told me stuff I needed to know and for them to know. Then they sent me a form for me to complete. Took about an hour and now I’m starting work today.
lol it's nothing to get nervous about Sarrueche.... Orientation is cool prob around 3-5 hrs (if I remember correctly). Let me know how your orientation goes :)
I am probably going to be starting this week. I just lost 70 pounds but I am still overweight just in better shape. Did you see other people that were plus size make it doing package handler
Yes, package handlers mostly stand in one area taking boxes from conveyor belt & stacking them on pallets. Anyone can do this type of work but it's up to the individual to decide if they like it. I would suggest (if you want) try it out & if you don't like it just quit.
Thanks for the video. I got offered part time, but they spit it into 2 hour shifts. If i work 4 work 4 hours in a day i do 3 am to 5am then 3pm to 5pm. Are extra shifts easy to pick up shortly after starting?
If your warehouse get busy then yes, extra shifts are easy to get. Most of the time it gets busy toward the end of the year which is called peak season. I would hate to work 2 hours leave work then have to go back to work later that day just for another 2 hrs. Hope it's working out for you. 🤞💯
Been working as a Ph for 2 months now and one thing I like is you can show up whenever you like, there is a set schedule but they don’t fire anyone for not following it
4 hour shifts, hour breaks? Also you are entitled to a 5 minute break even during those shifts. I found it out by talking to multiple managers. Sometimes you're doing 2 hours or 5 hours. So you need a break for three hours? Depends on you.
From my memory, I got a 30 min break if I worked over 4 hrs. and none under 4 while working FedEx in Texas. I would take unofficial water & restroom breaks at times. Things could have changed since then though. Meaning FedEx could've added official 5, 15, or 30 min breaks while working less time. 🤞
I've been driving for a fedex vendor for a month, 9am till truck is empty (ending 330-5pm)... some days I empty my truck in 3 hrs... . I'm salary ... I work about 35hrs a week. For 750 a week. Plus full benefits.
I worked fedex ground and was excited at first but they lied about pay. Was told I would make 170 a day but was making 125 a day. You load your own truck and the route was impossible to get done in 8 hours. I was working 12 hours for shit pay. I had to tell them I quit. I finished the route but never came back the next day. Not worth the money whatsoever. You hav to take care of your own trucks as well. The truck they gave me was bone dry in oil and the radio or charger didn’t work. So I had to bring back up battery’s for phone and scanner. Again do not get paid enough for all of that.
Wow that is crazy that you had to take care of the maintenance of the truck. I can totally understand why you end up quitting that job. Hope you were able to find a better one out there. Thanks for sharing! 🙌
When I started it was $12-$14 but during COVID & peak season I think they started paying a little more in North Texas. What state do you live PlayboiiExx?
Headed to my orientation I’m an hour. I applied for the job months ago, last week got a call to start today lol so I don’t know what I’m expected to wear today, I’m I pissed my face Brooke out yesterday especially when I heard you say they take your photo. I’d there I was I can get a new photo? I know mine will look horrible today, not only did my fave break out, but I came down with a terrible cold/flu late last night and if I were already ok the schedule and knew anyone there, I’d be calling out today. So I’m hoping they have my sitting all day because I’m so sick :/ 113° heat, and I’ll be the only one in a hoodie haha. Oh I was planning on wearing a black “O’Neal” shirt, so it says the brand and had flowers in the middle. They didn’t tell me much at all so I hope I’m not doing anything wrong!
How did orientation go for you? Did you have to take a picture that day? It really doesn't matter what you wear there was long as you have shoes on & clothes are not too revealing (last time I remember).

This was a great informative breakdown of what to expect working the daily grind of FedEx Ground! Thanks for sharing your perspective Totoros Dad!
Fr man I’m in that damn trailer throwing them packages and then there’s a dude just scanning the packages smh
Headphones ? I thought you’re not aloud to have your phone on you ???
you can't have headphones. you can't have a phone at all on the floor because they can't prove if it is yours or from a package, and they are able to confiscate your phone!!!...there's no headphone capability at all so this isn't great advice.
I make $18.50 an hour, but on Mondays I make $21.50 an hour as part of differential pay. As a full-time package handler, I average about 7 to 8 hours on Preload. I come in for IC Prime (1AM or 2AM) and leave between 9-10AM. That's for one shift.

Funny story, when I was 20yr old. I was hired at FedEx ground as a package handle.. I went through first day orientation and came back for the 2nd one. As I was walking thru the door. I jist got a job at fedex here in albuquerque and its a MADHOUSE right now. An insane amount of packages
I am sure since ppl are shopping online more than ever b/c of this pandemic & Christmas. Try not to over work yourself The Oculist
@@lakershomie08 yeah this will be my third week.. the soreness is finally starting to go away.. i do have an infected big toenail tho because i smashed it with a huge package.. i get 13.50 an hour here in new mexico. I average roughly 20 to 30 hours a week depending on how many extra shifts I decide to go to, about 250$ on the low end to 500$ on the high end a week, paid every week on friday
Edit: Peak season is over and it dropped down to 5 days a week start time is now 4am or 4:30 am (for preload) and generally you're done by 6 am or 7 am so, about 2 or 3 MAYBE 4 hours a day (for preload) and you are no longer allowed to come in and pick up extra hours because they dont need the extra help. This particular location actually over staffed and is starting to make cuts last I heard, Im not there anymore I worked there for about 2 months or so.
It looks like they increased starting pay b/c I was getting paid $13 (which is good to hear) or wage could be base on the city you work in. If you don't mind working in that warehouse environment definitely get as many hours you can b/c I know they always need package handlers.

Yea that was how it was when I worked at FedEx part time (no breaks, etc.) If I wanted to take one I would just go to the restroom or get water.

At UPS you suffer more but you get 50 and up once you get your seniority and can take up to 6 weeks of vacatiom
That's cool... how long does it take to get seniority?
Them 50 cents goin to the union lul
Uh, I am entry level new hire starting at 19hr. I would never do this for less. I am fulltime, 8.5 hours, 10 min break, no meals. It's a job.
Slave job. Boy go get a trade or 2yr college degree. It's free.
Not a boy, in school at the moment.
Thanks for sharing. Hope it's working out for you. 🤞🏽
@@TheRealCantaraBella lmao 🤣 why u sound so angry
Congrats! Hope it all goes well for you 👏🏾👍🏽
Hey how has it been since ?I'm a new hire at the ground warehouse
Do they send a confirmation email once you have completed the forms for background check? They sent me the background check email last December 23 and I am still waiting what will happen next. This is my first job so I have no idea.
If you did a background check last Dec. 23rd 2019 then you should reapply. If you did it Dec of this year I'd give it a couple more days to receive some type of email or call. If you have a contact number maybe you can call them & check on your status. Hope this helps Shaira
Did you ever get it Shaira?🙏🏾🤞🏾
Very helpful he gives lot of good information
Thanks for the kind words MachanZen! Really Appreciate it!👍
I'm a senior in HS and starting orientation tmr
Congratulations! Hope it goes well 👍🏽
You dont have to be 18?
Luis Hernandez i am 18. i’m a senior
@@theboys5659 how’s the job so far?
@@theboys5659 cool, hope it goes well for you bro
Its def hard labor...I quit after day 1. I recommend working at FedEx Express, benefits are better and still a bit hard labor but nothing like ground.
lol I really can't blame you for that!
Thanks for the FedEx Express heads up Valerie. 👍
I remember when FedEx delivery guys didn’t lie and say they showed up when they clearly didn’t. Those days are long gone.
lol YEAP 😅😅
i got hired at ground as a full time package handler and it’s really not that bad i make 17 an hour on weekdays and 19 on weekends i’m enjoying it as i’m about a month in and i didn’t even have an interview or got trained i just had orientation and went straight to work lol
Thanks for sharing your experience working there so far. 💯
I'm starting to think they don't do interviews anymore 🤷🏾♂️
@@HumanEncoded i’m not sure some new hires there said they had 1 but i didn’t i have no clue
@@igodexotic6590 oh ok... it's goes to show FedEx do & pay what they want when they want lol
@@HumanEncoded yea ig it’s wtvr they are feeling at the time lmao
Same here. They just rang me up and told me stuff I needed to know and for them to know. Then they sent me a form for me to complete. Took about an hour and now I’m starting work today.
I’m nervous now I have my orientation tomorrow 😩
lol it's nothing to get nervous about Sarrueche.... Orientation is cool prob around 3-5 hrs (if I remember correctly). Let me know how your orientation goes :)
Sameee
How did it go ? Mines tomorrow
Been working as a Ph for 2 months now and one thing I like is you can show up whenever you like, there is a set schedule but they don’t fire anyone for not following it
Yea they definitely don't mind you coming in early but try to leave early and see what they do. lol 😃
My orientation is Tuesday and first day is Thursday! Wish me luck :)
Hope it goes well for you 💪🏾👍🏽
lmao 6:30 i felt that 😂 miss my fedex water bottle too
Lmbo I'm glad someone can relate! Man I was damn near sick when I realize my bottle was lost 🤣
I lost mine it fell in a trailer and it’s gone
4 hour shifts, hour breaks? Also you are entitled to a 5 minute break even during those shifts. I found it out by talking to multiple managers. Sometimes you're doing 2 hours or 5 hours. So you need a break for three hours? Depends on you.
From my memory, I got a 30 min break if I worked over 4 hrs. and none under 4 while working FedEx in Texas.
I would take unofficial water & restroom breaks at times.
Things could have changed since then though.
Meaning FedEx could've added official 5, 15, or 30 min breaks while working less time. 🤞
im boutta start, 5am till 9am at 16$!
Great! Hope everything goes well! 👍🏽
im bouta start, 16.50. got orientation tmr
@@theboys5659😂 i never showed up , tbh i wasnt fuxking with it. I found something else that i liked but goodluck tho
RIKIRICARDOOO haha yeah i just had it. seems chil and it’s good pay
@@theboys5659 i just dont like how you gotta do two shifts if you fulltime i rather just keep going. Thats whats sup tho
I've been driving for a fedex vendor for a month, 9am till truck is empty (ending 330-5pm)... some days I empty my truck in 3 hrs... . I'm salary ... I work about 35hrs a week. For 750 a week. Plus full benefits.
That sound cool 😎 So do you like working as a vendor or would you rather work another FedEx position?
I never even got a interview ...they just told me the day for orientation.
That's even better! I wish I could've skipped the interview.
Thanks for sharing! 👍🏽
In my state we get $19 an hour I was shocked to have heard $12-$14 an hour
When I started it was $12-$14 but during COVID & peak season I think they started paying a little more in North Texas.
What state do you live PlayboiiExx?
I live in Pennsylvania. This makes me nervous now lol
@@VC-jk8gm I wouldn't be nervous V C. You just do the same work over & over until the shift ends. Try to pace yourself & not over work yourself
My state is 11.50
@@justusnesbitt3693 Cool, thanks for sharing! 👍🏽
I am looking into applying for FedEx package handler and hoping to get to good pay and maybe work for a year and establish a business that will help me to grow and be successful 👍
That's sound cool bro! Hopefully things workout for you as planned 🤞🏽💪🏾
@@HumanEncoded Indeed it will
california pay is usually 15-17.5 for anyone wondering. currently at 19.50
Thanks for sharing.... I wonder is that considered good pay in Cali? 🤔
@@HumanEncoded i’d say it’s average for a job that’s not minimum wage when you live in the middle of cali or towards socal
Thats low pay in California. You need 30$ per hour in California or higher
@@ateezyrozaytv1 that’s low in so cal maybe, and this is my side that i kinda just show up to whenever. I work at a factory that makes cheese where my base pay is 26.55 and OT is double but even without OT i can afford to rent a house without nearly any issue at all
@@ateezyrozaytv1 I can see that considering the high cost of living... Wish is was $30 for warehouse work in Texas!
Eh I'm good on this. Thanks for the info. My current job is shitty enough.
Lol I feel you.... hopefully you able to find a job that pays well & not shitty tho. 🤞🏽
