Great video, thanks for sharing! Do you steam milk on this Silvia? I was wondering if you find the steam very wet and of you experience any sputtering. Also, do you generally find that the Silvia uses a lot of water?
No, I don’t find the steam sputtering or wet, make sure to let excess water and steam out of the wand at first, because it can have a lot of condensation
@@paviaaPS3 Thanks for replying. Of course purging the steam wand which is a given. However, during actual steaming, my Silvia (which is new) tends to sputter and produces what I can only describe as excessively wet steam - much wetter than what my Gaggia used to. One of the implications is that to me it seems like it uses a lot of water. The reservoir runs empty quite fast.
@@ohaya1 hmm haven’t noticed the wet steaming and sputtering, still my advice would be to purge a good amount of water/steam before frothing milk, just my thought, and you might be doing this as well 🙂 Yeah it does use a good amount of water, 2-3 espresso and I have run through 0.7 L
Nice work! How has the Silva been treating you? I’m very interested in the Pro X. Heard lots of good things about the quality build of this machine/family. Cheers!
Thank you so much. The Silvia was a beast of a machine. I sold it and bought the Profitec Go. If only the pro x wasn’t so expensive I would buy it too. I have heard it’s like a tank. I would say go for it Merry Christmas and happy new year 😊
