I utilize my local areas free children’s activities! The library has a great play area and story time once a week. And our city has summer programs that are a great option too. There’s a small free zoo too! You said you’re new to the area, so look into what’s free when you’re needing to get out of the house!
Also a momma of 3 with very hot summers in northern CA. Highly recommend looking into a family gym that also includes childcare. Even if you don’t workout, it gives us something to do in the hot afternoons and gives me a break. Sometimes I use it to just take a shower in peace while the kids burn off their energy. 😂
