@@KuostA Well it significantly reduces rotational mass coming off the engine, the engine revs much much free-er. It's the most noticeable thing you can do staying naturally aspirated. Every 6 spd car should have it.
@@user0055 I had one on order but cancelled it because of delays and if I recall correctly at the time some quality control issues on the initial batch.
@@akkando there weren’t any quality issues other than the one case I read about where the glue deteriorated on one while it was being tracked in 95+ weather, and that was v1. I do distinctly remember several issues on ones from other manufacturers who were trying to capture the market at the same time where the shaft was out of balance across many different models offered. I was actually one of the first to test it, I wouldn’t own an m3 without it.
Nice build ! Reminds me of that 3400lb E92 M3 you compared to your Porsche 997 a few years ago. That says a lot that you enjoy it's drive characteristics over the 997 . Wonder if that owner was ever able to shave an extra 200lbs off his M3 like he had planned ?
Good overall build. Those cheapo seats ruin the whole vibe in my opinion. Go for Recaro Sportster CS and change them to that cinnamon color. In my case it was a hard decision between E92 and E46 and I went for the older car and didn’t regret that so far. Mine has a ton of performance, handling and weightloss mods. I can never sell that thing, as there is nothing comparable out there.. still I get the urge to drive something new, so I will have to expand my garage eventually 😂
I would like to be educated on how (or why) BMW has been making mid 6-speed transmissions for so long while Honda has been making excellent manual transmissions for nearly as long, but somehow BMW hasn't learned the lesson. Can explain?
Probably not the best answer, but BMW leans into the luxury car feel with certain aspects. Light clutch and clutch delay valve probably are in that realm.
I guess is that they don’t want to invest any money in making a good shifting gearbox which is silly. At least their DCTs performed pretty well when driving spiritedly. But you can tell they’ve been throwing a parts bin manual on their cars since 2008.
I dont know why people think it is bad, but I can say my e81 123d has better clutch feel than e91 330d, I also have deleted valve in clutch line, also transimision feel is not bad, really no complaining. Never missed a gear with spirited driving
@@nikos3330what manual care have you driven? Its all perspective really. Compared to Mazda, Honda, and some Porsches the BMW shifter feels quite numb and rubbery.
I followed this E92 through the Cassiar tunnel once, it sounded amazing!
With that shifter... I would need a copilot shouting upcoming turns
Those wheels are sick !
Cool wheels, just not on that car imo.
These are the best sounding m3’s and it’s not close.
wish e90s were more popular. i think the lines look better. either way the car is timeless
DCT with trans tune feels like PDK also I swear... at least I tell myself that 😆
Long live the S65
As a person who used to have an e90 m3, It just needs a carbon fiber driveshaft to really bring it all together. I recommend M Factory's. Trust me.
how did it all bring it together for u?

E92 with mods is a baby gt3
Hot take, the s65 sounds better too
You can definitely tune an E9x to feel like a V8 FR Porsche GT

@@braydenbrooks1009 different sounds tbh, hard to compare a flat 6 to a V8. Both sound phenomenal though

This car has a very nice design and i don't these M3s E92 often !
